I've been thinking of the idea of colored lighting for forever but I understand how it could change the look of existing maps, this is why I prepose lantern blocks! There could be a lamp decoration that when painted neon (or perhaps normal colors??) it would emit light in that color. I was thinking maybe a 1x1 lamp block and lantern blocks in various sizes, I think maybe other various blocks could emit light like say the icicles.💡
examples, could come in say 1x1 2x2 and 1x4 variants!

The lanterns on here are nice
They should have the bottom partially out of hit box so you can use pipes to attach them to stuff and it doesn’t look disconnected
