#Remove party button block limit

Unfortunately the limit is necessary to for performance reasons but there are lots of clever ways to get around it by using cannon chains or icicles
Oh ok
Yall should add just a normal button block, would trigger bombs and canons, whatever is placed next to it(like the minecraft button), it would solve my problem and others too
you can trigger nearby objects with the explosion of a confetti cannon (which has a range in front of it) or an exploding icicle
I think he means there are a lot of ideas not able to be made cause theres a limited amount of colors and his idea doesnt require the colors
I think I'd just need to know more about what the ideas are in order to see if there's a different compromise
This is a map I made but was only able to make 1 room due to there not being many colors
i made the buttons a one time press which was necessary but used all the colors in the game
incase there’s any confusion, it has no order, that just shows which buttons have been pressed
Is this map why you entered this suggestion?
yeah cause we were only able to make one room😔
Replying to this so Nathan doesn’t miss it
ah well ig that's just the cost of using entirely wireless connections instead of direct pathing
why are you using one color into another color though
It’s a one time button i’ll try to get a video to explain better
Nathan, do you have any ideas for a solution to this problem
just replace any usage of a button with a path
?
or move the bomb
so that it's used directly in the path
you should basically never need to use two colors in a given wire
Yeah but then we could just press the same button multiple times to win
or am I reading your message wrong
I'm just saying that if you're trying to connect a button to some sort of element
just move this bomb contraption so that it's directly in the path of the icicle
I can't really show it easily
but think of it this way
I think I understand
if a party button is only activating a single confetti cannon
it's replaceable with just making a line of confetti cannons between those two points
and then instead of having that full line, just move the first confetti cannon close to where you want it to end
i’ll try to get a screenshot or video and send it to see if i’m understanding right
the video lagged lemme get another one
yeah exactly
and then if you wanted to make the delay shorter, just move the blue cannon closer to the icicle
Thank you
The issue I find witht his and my build is that there is not a good way to do input, when the button arrived and had a limit of 16 then it was best used as input, do you think you could make a block that works as a nice input?
eventually when we do proper wiring we'll have more options, but I feel like 32 is still plenty of inputs
We are still limited by colors though.
What exactly makes the party button lag in large numbers?
buttons in general apparently are not super performant
according to jack anyways
so having a bunch of buttons potentially causes trouble
ah, do you think you could make neon noteblocks trigger nearby blocks like icicles and bombs?
👍
I noticed there is not a limit on the amount of ||stuffed cannons|| in the newest lab, despite that fact they have buttons. Could this mean you increase the amount of party buttons in maps?
There is supposed to be a limit on the stuffed cannons
How high is it? I placed like 64 and gave up.
Its at 64 and I experienced almost no lag, can you please try to experiment with a higher limit?
up to jack really
Can I ping him for this?
