If this happens to you, please describe the type of device you're on so that I can try to analyze what it is.

So far, it seems like it’s specific to iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4

I’m not sure how to fix it, but I’ll look into it in the coming weeks

Im on an ipad air 2, ios 15.8.2

Its probably because of some black screen thats used for something in the mobile app is showing at the wrong time

The device is 8 years old and i dont have enough money to get a new one

Its not server issues, i can still hear people

Looks like it is just a rendering issue - older devices may not be able to render the game. Given our time constraints, I'll probably have to phase out older generation iPads, but I'll try to make sure iOS 15 works on phones since that seems fine?

I've confirmed working iOS 15 iPhone 7, but there's the iPhone SE (1st gen) and iPhone 6s as well

neither of those devices I own, so I can't see if they work or not

I mean worst case we just have to keep it iOS 16+ since I don't know if older phones can handle the game

and we don't have time to optimize for old devices

It works fine on later devices running iOS 15 (such as my iPhone 7), if possible you could just exclude the specific devices from being able to download the app from the App Store, or detect what device they're on (iPad5,3; Pad5,4 (Air 2 models), iPad5,1; iPad5,2 (mini 4 models), and any other devices that may be discovered to have this problem) and give them a pop-up in the app saying their device isn't supported or something like that 🤷

Requiring arkit in UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities would block iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4, but would also block the iPad 5, which MIGHT be capable of running the companion app (and I haven't seen any iPad 5 users in this thread), and would block the iPod touch 7th gen, which also might be capable of running the companion app (and, yet again, I haven't seen any iPod touch 7th gen users in this thread)

1. You might be running an old version of One UI
2. Your Phone is Old to the point where most apps are incompatible.

This has been happening since like 2024, tbh might not be fixable or even remembered. They should add a way to claim your streak or pause it in the settings instead of just at a tec-web.

I’m on an iPad 2nd gen (I think) and when I open the app, it does the loading thing with the 4 dots, then goes to fully black screen, and crashes.
