Rice grows in water and there is water everywhere in front of the land so you could plant it in the water in front of the land and then you get food without using land where you can build other buildings

just another source of food? how would they compare with berries? assuming they regen like berries do

also, how will they craft a rice cooker? they have no electricity

I guess it could be the same as berries, or a little more, or maybe it takes more time to grow but gives 2 instead of 1
