#Any plans for different clans or kingdoms that would have themed groups of locations?

I'm pretty new to Origins and TCGs in general--just started playing the demo a few days ago and really enjoyed it so far. Having 100+ random rotating locations is nice and helps keep the game fresh. BUT... it's almost too much unstructured randomness, and I think it could eventually make deckbuilding strategy less varied and interesting. What I mean by this is that since players cannot really predict the location types in the 3 lanes, they will not tend to craft decks strategically to favor one theme or group of locations.

My question is whether there are any plans to have domains or kingdoms that have different themed groups of locations? For example, you could have five or six different kingdoms, each with a smaller set of 15 or 20 random locations, grouped by theme. The increased predictability and structure could go a long way towards heightening the strategic side of deckbuilding because in terms of meta there could be say 8 or 10 different optimal decks instead of having everyone gravitate to just one or two with the best statistical win rates. Then, you could have not just an overall ranking leaderboard, but also separate ones for each kingdom. It could also expand the scope of tournaments.

Wouldn't the kingdom be random anyways leading to random locations

The rough idea I had (and please keep in mind I'm not an expert on TCGs) is that a player would know which kingdom they are going into for a match. So they would know there is a decent chance (but not 100% chance) of getting like a double attack location or mirror location, etc. Then they would choose to use a deck which is better suited for those types of locations. Or, for example, if there is good chance of a no-magic lane, then a player would choose to use a deck that is more tilted towards higher attack/health for the mana cost.

Basically, a player could have a library of their decks that they would choose from, and they would choose according to which theme/kingdom they expect to be playing in.

Too much overhead

This game needs to be casual and competitive

You will have to include a location disruptor if your deck auto loses to bad locations

Right, It could be too much for the casual, mainstream player. But it could still be a thing for the hardcore players and tournaments. And, kingdoms would fit in well with the Origins lore/world map that is being built.
