Also the whole "let's make it the final movie, but we're gonna put in a deep cut for the comic fans who are aware of the King in Black right at the end when everything should be wrapped up is stupid and if it was truly planned to be the last there shouldn't have been any sort of "tease" for anything after it tbph 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, kind of reflecting on the movie, maybe I’m just missing context, but a lot of stuff felt a little off.

My favorite moments were the smaller moments like the driving with the family scene and especially the dance.

A lot of people think the post credit scene is hinting at setting up a MCU Eddie Brock to take over for the king in black role, which seems unlikely considering marvel have already decided they're cutting back releases, and I doubt we'd get a king in black TV series

Knull is the king in black yes, which is why it was a stupid tease in the first place, cause for all intents and purposes the king in black literally is not coming, he was stopped and imprisoned at the end of the movie, the only reason to tease a king in black story would be to try and bring back venom and Eddie(since in the comics they kill knull and take over the role) for one last fight, but this was their last movie 🤷‍♂️

So good after Kraven Sony has canceled the all the rest of the planned spin offs in the Sony verse and is rebooting it. That is cope my friend.

You just can't have Venom without Spiderman in fact the symbiote bonded to Spiderman first before it even got to Eddie in The Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #252 (published May 01, 1984) comic It bonded to Peter then after Peter rejects it, it bonds to Eddie. This predates its origin comic which came later in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #8 (published in August 28, 1984) when the Hulk tells Spider Man there is a machine that can create whatever cloth or clothing you want with the thought of the machines user, then a black glob comes out and acts as his new suit repairing his battle damaged one. Hence why Eddie has the Spiderman logo on his chest because that was the pervious host. So this whole universe just makes no sense at all cutting out vital and crucial parts of why the symbiote exist and how it functions seeing as the symbiote came directly from Peter's mind itsself. Honestly they just need to sell off the rights of the rest of the ip to Marvel at this point.

To add on to this, one of morbius' origins makes him really close with Peter parker, in fact it almost makes it so that Peter is the reason Morbius exists (to a degree) so doing a morbius without Spider-Man felt wrong to me.
