@pure briar Adding to @dapper oak already great tips, something that tends to happen with Gambit a lot is muscle memory and keeping your fingers right above the cards buttons. It takes some training to remove the habit but keeping your fingers off the key binds for cards prevents the usage out of habit and making more conscious choices, is a muscle memory trap most of the time.

When should you shield throw instead of just spamming melee?

Is 350 hp a good rule of thumb of when to back out?

Depends on if you are ulting to stall or ulting for tempo. Stall ult you will treat more like a healing ult, tempo ult your allies should be following you into the enemy position.

Anytime you cant melee. If the enemy gets away from you, shield throw. If you are playing your life while still evading you typically shield throw during your sprint jumps. Not really kill potential but should always be generating ult and being annoying when possible.

Completely situational sorry. Base your disengage on how much attention is on you and the threat, not your hp. Emma can kill you from full.

Always unless committing that movement cd will result in a kill that gives a favorable trade like a support close to their ult.

honestly most people stick to banning the same characters and its usually - like MK, Phoenix, Elsa bloodstone, Groot, CND, Gambit or some iteration of that
