We lost our ship with experimental and pristine cannons due to the storm literally not closing on an extract.

There is a known extraction-related issue: extraction can be interrupted by the Trampler itself. If this happens, you need to call for extraction again. There’s also a known issue where Tramplers can appear without notifications at the Dreadnought final extraction. For context, in Storm Dive you’re limited by the sandstorm moving to the center, but you’re free to extract at any time before that. If your extract didn’t complete, try recalling the extraction and proceed again.
