Constant Crashing

13900KS
DDR5 8000 MHZ
4090 STRIX

No reason I should be crashing 20 seconds into game.

Same, near identical specs. 13900k 4090. 10+ crashes in 15 minutes

Hey, please make sure to follow all instructions here. This usually fixes it!

cold delta
#

I have tried everything lowering cpu clock etc.

viscid mauve
#

Could you confirm you've tried all steps on the article I shared above? 🤔

cold delta
#

Correct

#

I even tried lowering the framerate to see if that would help.

#

Game runs super smooth then have crash.

viscid mauve
#

This usually relates to outdated BIOS & Intel's known issue on specific CPUs. To dig deeper, could you share your dxdiag.txt either here or by filling in the form here? If you go with the second option, please also share a link to this post to speed things up!

cold delta
#

This is the only game I am having crashes on..

#

No other game does this.

#

Im trying DX12 with a low framerate see if that stablizes it.

serene comet
cold delta
#

yeah, i cant get this to work either.

#

Im curious who else with a intel cpu is having a problem. Why is it only this game?

#

Typically lowering cpu clock will fix the issue.

serene comet
#

I tried locked at 4ghz but still crashed for me

cold delta
#

I wish I could get refund this is insane. Nothing works.

sonic fable
#

Dang here I was installing the game and this same game breaking issue is still here from the playtests

cold delta
#

I love how they blame the cpu when every other game that explicitly says CPU issues from overclocking work just fine.

#

There is something else going on here.

#

100 percent game needs to be optimized..

sonic fable
#

pretty sure its to deal with battleye but yes this isnt the only game that uses battleye, this is the only game I play that uses battleye but im fairly certain if I download pubg or warthunder or any other battleye game I wont have a BSOD crash

viscid mauve
#

Sadly, this seems to be due to a known CPU issue (per the official Intel report) which apparently sometimes doesn't play well with the game's anti-cheat.

Could you please make absolutely sure that your motherboard is updated to the latest BIOS version? According to a past report, you could also try the following:

  • Update your GPU drivers
  • Disable Core Isolation in your Windows settings
  • Cap your FPS to 60, at least temporarily

Sharing your DxDiag report with us would also greatly help us dig deeper into what's happening!

sonic fable
#

We have tried everything shared and posted over the last few playtests, and only 1 single person posted about being able to get his game working with core isolation. I'll look into it but its a hefty ask to place that on the consumer while other games do not require this level of troubleshooting, let alone the stress of purposefully booting up the game with BSOD errors to provide data to the devs

cold delta
#

Im going to try running it as admin see what happens.

#

Trying one more hail mary in bios.

#

This should fix it...

#

I lowered the power to the cpu.. if this doesnt fix it i give up.

#

oh nice now my server appears to be down sick.

#

what a great experience so far.

sonic fable
#

im going to try disabling isolation later tonight and if that doesnt work I am not booting the game up until I see a patch note regarding this. I really dont want to refund and hope that it gets fixed but this is unacceptable they knew about this and still released the game. K1mon literally told us the team would address it in the bug report last playtest and here we are lol

cold delta
#

was running great, but just crashed.

#

:/

#

Im going to try lowering the cpu ring..

sonic fable
#

try the core thing and lmk

cold delta
#

tried lowering the short & long power limits... this should fix it.

#

it did not lol,.

#

ill try try the core isolation thing i guess..

sonic fable
#

yeah like I said and what K1mon mentioned, literally only 1 person from the last report fixed it and it was with the core isolation. Im going to try that tonight when im around

cold delta
#

somehow fixed it...

#

i changed my short & long power limit in bios to 320 watts no more crashes.

#

i played a full game this time.

sonic fable
#

and you did disable isolation?

cold delta
#

it was never enabled.

#

i lied it froze on me just now though

#

about to uninstall and leave the review it deserves

cold delta
#

I figured it out

#

Its a issue with one of their settings

#

Not sure which one

#

I turned some things off and now its working.

cold delta
sonic fable
#

if its in game settings and you just wanna DM me a SS of your settings page that you tweaked I can match mine

cold delta
#

i lied im still crashing

#

it sucks bc the game actually seems decent.

sonic fable
#

damn ok

cold delta
#

im trying something diff

#

trying not the dx12 version

#

its something w/ the desert

#

thats crashing the game..

#

let me try turning vsync.. on crashed again.

sonic fable
#

Yeah I just did everything I could do on my end and im still getting crashes

#

its getting a little ridiculous at this point to assume there is anything we can do on our end @viscid mauve how is this not issue number 1

cold delta
#

@viscid mauve any update on this?

#

This should be high priority request since the game is completely unplayable.

#

All steps requested have been done. Also DXdiag has been provided from another member on this thread. No communication or update is pretty bad right?. Communication is key at this point.
