the reason going "that low" doesn't matter is because everyone else is at your ELO, you will quickly climb back to the same ELO as the people of your skill, regardless of what that rank is

For example: It's ur first time hitting gold, when the new season comes you get the Gold Avatar and Frame

If the season after u still remain as a gold, you still keep the gold frame and ur avatar increases a tier
The higher tiers you've got, the older you are at the game. I'm a tier 12 competitor's badge which means I've been playing for a few years now.

If you wish to get those avatars you'll have to wait a lot of seasons.

none of the dlight combos have true follow ups anymore, the only reason i'd push to learn dlight > cd (buffer, aka the combo for dlight > nair grounded) is for the combo dlight grounded recovery which is still true and useful if you hit a dlight when they're red

still its not required until a pro level and most pros aren't even 100% consistent at that combo. after any of the dlight combos i mentioned above you're usually looking to read the opponent. dlight nlight and dlight sair are super easy to read after

imo i wouldn't worry too much about it the combo is a lot easier to hit when you've got down the rest of gauntlets and its definitely not going to be winning you any games, if you're looking for a dlight combo with easy followups dlight slight and dlight nlight are a lot easier to follow up from and hit in the first place

yea it'll spike them offstage is most cases unless you're in the middle of the map and gauntlets above the opponent offstage is basically the best place for them

thats when its useful

if you're looking for an earlier kill dlight slight is easy to read out of with moves like slight > gc slight rec in either directions for out/in dodges and slight > fast fall rec for spot/down dodges

really depends on the situation with guantlet's dlight combos, the more you play it the more you'll know when to do which combo
