the xbox and gg thing isn't related and gg has been kinda broken for a bit, i guess its not a high priority to fix for them. the servers might feel a bit slower since the new battlepass means a lot of people are playing on the servers, more than usual so they might be on higher load, i guess you could see if its happening in the night or at off-peak times and if its not then you can tell its due to the servers under high-load, if its the same at off-peak times then it might be on your end

i'm a regular player and occasionally my friends and i can't even play the game because one of us has a perpetually red connection or worse yet, has green, and is still teleporting everywhere. it can also last hours
and yeah, it could be coincidence but it really appeared to coincide with the gg issues
but at the same time, while i'm not a programmer, i'm fairly certain that server problems shouldn't cause something like the GG issue which i would presume to be a bug

but yeah the gg is a bug, it was working fine then it broke through a patch, i dont think that would affect servers. as for the lagging you and your friends are having idrk, you can try the %lag fixes or maybe googles/cloudfares dns (you'll have to google how to do in on xbox i dont use that platform) but if you think its to do with the servers and its happening with all your friends unrelated to your individual internets then its hard to diagnose

As a beginner

its arguably the hardest weapon to learn when playing this game, its incredibly hard to start off with as there arent very good legends with scythe that are highly regarded, its based off of reading the oponent which most people dont do they just play against a bot that doesnt dodge and nothing improves in the long term

pick another weapon is all im saying

its easier to learn the game on a better weapon than scythe

theres not really a best strign just learn all the attacks and their active input variations and how they string into each other, one string that works on somebody wont work on another, the entire reason scythe is good/fun is because you can read the opponent and take them where you want with your attacks, so focus on reading them and make your strings up as you go, it doesn't hurt to watch pros and see what they do either, see how they string the moves into each other

yeah theres optimal setups for damage but only if you can get them into a position where you can pull that off, and for that you need to understand the moves and how you can put them in that situation

for example a dodge inwards read could be soft slight (this is active input move, so its the one that doesn't have much force) then jump and dair the opposite way, that would catch them dodging in towards you and then you can string it into a few hits because they have no dodge and cant escape

yeah theres like 10-15 weapons and each character has 2, every character has a combination of weapons like hattori has sword and spear, and is the only legend with that combination of weapons but theres a bunch of other characters with sword (and another weapon) and spear (and another weapon). when you pick up a weapon you have signatures (heavy attacks) which are unique to that character but the light attacks are the same on every characters weapon

yeah this, what this actually means is after you do an attack you're free to do another attack or whatever faster than lower dex characters, its not that good of a stat compared to the others but there are nuances to it that you dont need to worry about @covert dock

default is literally fine play whatevers comfortable, there are some changes you can do like turning off pickup with quick(light) attack if you want to know those but your actual buttons dont really matter
