to answer your first question: how good a weapon is is typically subjective up until a professional level, so you don't need to worry about how good weapons are in comparison to others.
as far as stats go, dex is typically the least useful except in certain circumstances where dexterity would allow for combos that would otherwise not be true

the only real times that dex matter is:

• 5 dex for katars, which unlocks slight dlight
• 6 dex for spear which allows you to jump out of a whiffed dlight
• 4 dex for lance which unlocks some true combo i cant remember
• 6 dex gauntlets which unlocks nair sair

other than those, dex-specific combos are typically very situational or difficult to execute and not worth opting for higher dex to do

it's great to have a balance of stats so people will often run the stance that takes away from the highest stat, or if the stats are mostly balanced they will use the stat that takes away from dex (if there is no dex requirement)

3. jump. many "spam" sigs dont hit in the air
4. dodge
5. weapon throw. that interrupts sigs
6. stop walking directly towards them
7. change approaches. approaching the same way will cause you to get hit the same way

basicly its when u press ur aim up itll prioritize n sig/lighr over side

but not down down is always prioritized

dlight nair on gauntlets by Ginger#0500

ensure your aimup and jump buttons are separated to follow this guide effectively

first way is more inconsistent than the second

dlight > jump > cd > nair

if the dlight is gc-ed (gravity cancelled), you do not need to jump
the cd (chase dodge) is horizontal
this is a true combo on any dexterity

second and better way to dlight nair is the buffer version

dlight > buffer cd > nair

you buffer the cd by jumping in the first few frames of the cd emitting
the timing for this is very percise and will take a lot of practice
