I seriously need advice against gauntlets. I can handle most of it pretty well but the slight seems unbeatable to me.

It sends them sideways a good distance so they can dash and do it from a very safe distance. I can't just jump because it sends them up a bit and if they space it well they will hit me.

I can out range it, but its hard to punish because it sends them upwards into the air so sideways punishes and above punishes don't work (as they are above me diagonally).

If I just try to stay neutral they recover from the move so fast then can dair/sair/nair me depending on how I react to their move.

I have basically got past the hurdle where sig spammers farm me, and I can punish them. I can punish most weapons, but this move specifically I cannot do anything against. I would love advice for it.

what weapons do u play mainly? the gaunts slight is not a very reactable move, but if u notice ur opponent using it alot at specific situations u can counter it by attacking during the active frames of it, or punishing what ur opponent does after the slight if it misses. also slight isnt that dangerous if ur opponent cant read u very consistently

Few tips would be :
1)Watch yt videos on
a)legend you use
b)weapon you use
2)Practice specific moves in training mode to use it consistently in your game.
Example: GC dlight nair on gauntlets or nlight recovery on blasters. They are really good moves but hard to pull of in a game.
3)Spar players with more elo that you in custom rooms or #looking-for-game . You learn when u lose. Figure out where u went wrong and make sure you dont do the same mistake again
4)Be patient. Dont expect to get good in a day.
5)Dont get tilted too easily. It is a game that you are suppose to play for fun. If you find yourself tilted take a long break.

the only other viable option for fighting games is delay based netcode and it just deranges the experience for both players
