One way of predicting opponents dodges if theyre bad or just kind of in autopilot mode ive found is if theyre on the edge of the stage they may try and dodge in to get back to centre of stage or if there is a weapon spawn somewhere on stage and they are unarmed they may try and get to the weapon so predicting they will jump/dodge in that direction and reading the movement appropriately

i think most importantly play who you find fun, you'll prolly switch between legends/weapons when you start anyway, and you'll get enough gold for all legends eventually. if u care about learning fast then generally learning the simpler weapons can be good because it lets you focus more on movement/mechanics/etc (which are transferable between characters) rather than the mechanics of your specific weapon - i think the easiest weapons to learn are sword, spear, axe, bow and hammer (they're all still high skill ceiling). but like i said, play whatever is fun

well, its not the worst thing to do on axe, sair is a really good kill option, but understand your other attacks and how they can get you kills, slight (when it hits close) > sair is a true kill combo, slight > nair > recovery/sair are both good reads for kills. dair > sair can be a tight combo that can get you kills. dlight is a really good anti-air and doesn't even kill that late, same with nlight when stacked. sometimes you wont be able to hit one of those moves, but you can usually hit at least some of them. its definitely bad to fish TOO hard for axe sair, beacuse once the opponent notices you're looking for it and nothing else, they can play around it and react to it

you definitely have to think about slight before you use it, more than other moves since its really punishable, but smth to know about it that you might not utilise is that it actually hits like 3/4 of a jump height in front of you, so if someone is approaching you from the air, you can actually use it if they get in range
sometimes you dont need to focus on the enemies habits, but your own, because doing the same thing repeatedly can just as well get you killed/parried. if you can notice that mid-game and adapt at the end, you can clutch out wins

i think losing can be annoying, and thats totally normal, even if you dont care about the elo. but elo can be gotten back with wins just as easy as it can be lost. the important thing to do is to try to learn something from every loss, at the very least understand why you lost, and then implement that knowledge into later games. if you dont understand why you lost/what you did wrong, watch the replay back.
for the panic part, whenever i lose my stock i like to evaluate whats going on;

am i close to death? - im thinking that i need to get as much out of this stock that i can, so i go into the next with an advantage, im thinking about their habits and how i can abuse them, im also keeping in mind all their kill options, so i can play around them, not worrying too much about taking damage, only dying. if they come offstage i will take the initiative and go for a gimp, as they have a lot more to lose than me.
am i not close to death? - im going to make sure to have my string/damage weapon primed and going to get as much compensation as i can on my stock, playing aggressive if i can. if they are waiting for my approach, i will know that i dont need to approach, as if the game went 8 minutes, i will win. i will force them to make the plays they need to win, instead of risking my stock early by playing stupid, i will not go offstage unless its to confirm.

to get it actually true you have to hit the later frames of dair when they get sent offstage, its not consistently true

i think its super specific to be true, like 80 health and last frames of dair while off stage, to get it unjumpable you acn use a cd at later healths depending on where the cd sets them

:D np, tbh dair is one of blasters best moves, and you can xpivot it like shown in the video!
pavelski is a player who uses xpivot dair really well, if you wanna see its application find a video where he plays blasters

cause Im not sure what aim up used for? isnt neutral attack is already aim up?
when we press aim up + attack it just do the same as neutral attack

lets say you're trying to move left or right and nair as you move in that direction, you will have to let go of the direction to nair or you will sair, if you hold aim up and travel in that direction you can happily nair while holding left/right
i should mention you should have prioritise neutral over side turned on as well, for that and in general ^
