I based it off some shot in the Akira movie where he hits this bike slide with laser gun in hand

Its only for a few shots and plus its a shot where Kaneda and his bike are in the way back sliding into view

Funny you mention Logic because Akira is actually one of his favorite anime films and he said he's taken a bit of inspiration from it here and there.

I think it looks great. One minor detail: The lower lip is not extremely easy to see, so I would mess around with shading the lower lip a little to make it a little more visible. Also the way light hits your face your lower lip is darker most of the time. Everything else looks great besides that

Can you tell me how you draw someone from imagination

Like any tips? I have a couple pictures people who somewhat look like her

@wide quartz drawing from imagination relies on understanding the fundamentals. It's a lot of work.

Start with your basic shapes, and 3d form. And build up. Learn how to cut shapes out of shapes. How to build mannequins out of shapes. etc.

Then for posing, you got things like your line of action and plumb lines. You want to draw your shapes around your lines of action. Makes them feel more dynamic nad less stiff.

Plumb lines are for making your characters balanced.

There's also perspective. As loomis said, everything is in perspective rather you know it or not.

If you struggle with ling your feet up with the ground. Break em down into boxes, line the boxes up with the ground and draw your shapes within the boxes.

~Speaking of which. Boxes are awesome for making more complex shapes. Especially if you have photoshop. The warp tool is a dream to use.

@dusk thistle yeah, I understand that. I used to sketch mad before, but not to the point where I want it to be as detailed and realistic as what I wanna start rn. I don't use shapes often, just usually etch and try to work the angle as best as I can. Also I don't think I've ever used software for sketches, or to complete them. I'm thinking of either a vivid realistic black and white sketch with patches of color to make certain parts pop out (eyes, earrings, part of her get-up in this case) or drawing an outline and structuring it, and filling in color/shading and everything else using a software. Any ideas or advice? And what's some good software
