Yeah, I usually state when I use poses for references, but it always is a starting point and it ends up wildly different. I use it for color studies and this one definitely was the best one

Mixing tracing and references is how you LEARN. I LEARNED anatomy and facial structure by tracing, looking, practicing with references and adjusting. It doesn't even matter in this situation. The whole point about getting better is to learn efficiently and if that's how they're choosing to do it then so be it.
It isn't line for line, he isn't tracing ever single god damn hair folicle and jaw curve that the demon slayer style has, he simply laid down the foundation and worked from there

Uhhh theyre talking about the perspective the background gives with the blur and the blur on the clothes. Which i dont even think are blurred its more just they arent defined so the brush make it look like a smushed blur. Which is why i think refining the garments would be good, then going into the background, giving it some definition, and then a bit of a blur

what got you frustrated? I Think what you had so far is great! But taking breaks is totally okay to do as well. Good luck if you decide to continue working on it, and remember to be patient with yourself (and the program You're using), especially if you're new or unfamiliar with digital art :-)

The black thing, idk how it popped up, then my layers disappeared, the undo button didnt do anything, I was also using my finger the whole time so it took a lot longer. Plus, I have zero experience with digital art, so I wasnt going through it
It literally took like 10min just to trace over a sketch a I did in 4, though most of the time was spent erasing the lines

tracing can take a while especially if you want the lines to be clean so that's pretty normal.
i don't really use mobile programs that often but sometimes when i do they can definitely be annoying
if you have to use that program for now I would say to just save often, and when you work on digital stuff in general you'll want to save a bunch in case something like that were to happen again
programs on computers are a lot more stable. if you have a tablet i'd highly consider using those instead. otherwise you can use a mouse and keyboard (i use a mouse when i work on digital stuff and while it can be annoying, it's more than possible to do so)
this is assuming you want to pursue digital art though. if you don't that's cool. if you do, it can take time to get used to programs and be aware that bad stuff can/will happen sometimes, so backups are nice to have
my old phone has a stylus too so when i did do stuff on my phone that was rly useful! so maybe you could get one of those if you rly get tired of using your fingers
