I discovered strinova through social media and fell in love with the unique game mechanics. To this date, the 2d paper feature in the game still stands as the most outstandingly un ique feature in any game ive played

Game is incredibly fun, got introduced to it through a friend who saw Kariyu playing it. Got involved with the English community discord and have had the wonderful opportunity to help other new players and even assist in an official event. Hopefully I can continue to be a part of the community even if it's smaller ways than currently

I found out about Strinova through some post on Instagram and it was perfect timing too because it was during the Open Beta so I'm glad I found it because I like this game and the whole going 2D is an interesting concept. Can't wait for the game to come out!

I was first interested in playing on Chinese servers to practice my Chinese, but then the closed beta test was launched so I decided to play there instead. In the game files I found some lore videos in Chinese, so I was able to practice my Chinese by translating those anyways. As a plus to this, the game is also quite fun 😄

This is without a doubt a unique game with mechanics that caught my attention from the first start and it consists of systems that I could never imagine could be put together but still it exists, I loved this community the more time I spent with it, and every day I spend are gratifying moments that I have with other people which drive me to help as much as I can as a thank you for those experiences

Strinova attracted me because of its unique mechanics like the paper mode but while keeping it somewhat familar to other games like VALORANT, Overwatch, etc. I play VALORANT and I wanted something new to try after playing the game for 3 years. I can't wait for release because I didn't have much time to play during the beta, and I might put a lot of time into this game.

A friend was playing it and said it was fun, so I gave it a shot. I then stuck around because the gunplay felt really good and stringification made the maps feel more three dimensional

I remember watching a video on Strinova. I played a few shooter games before but this one's uniqueness really drew me in. The design of each character and every mechanic was beautiful. I joined in closed beta and basically got addicted!

I was playing Valorant at the time and it was when I saw @lilac depot AMAZING video on Strinova. I was captivated by the mechanics but was first turned off because I thought I could never master that mechanic. One beta test later, I find myself loving the game and playing up until the closed beta and I can't wait for it's official release on global.

Opened up Instagram one day to see a fun new game that is currently in beta, and so I installed Strinova on my PC through Steam since it seemed up my alley. Genuinely had so much fun that it made me finally put siege out of the equation for some time. The mechanics were something I have never seen put into a shooter that I had to try it and just loved the feel.

My friends tried getting me into many games and for some reason when they tried getting me into Fornite, it was the only game I didn't want to play. I said to them that I didn't like the community as an excuse but I played League of Legends so that excuse was a bit flawed. When my friends told me to download Strinova, I was like yeahh ANIME GIRLS.

I'm a person who loves shooter games like Valorant and Overwatch and also anime type games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail... The fact that this game basically combined both of the types of games I love to play definitely attracted me to want to play. I've been looking for a anime style shooter game and this game did not disappoint. Can't wait to see how this game grows! 😮

• My Calabiyau Story •

I discovered Strinova by watching TikTok and I was very curious with the game. I asked my chinese friend Atakiyaki about it and he helped me find a way to download.

It was in mid season 1 that I started playing Strinova and I dont know why but I easily got used to the gameplay. on how to stick to the walls, fly and the movements.

I felt so hyped at that time and then I saw the green haired guy and started to call him Dash Guy (baimo).

I got addicted to the gameplay and the graphics (i swear it's not only because of baimo).

I used to play a lot of fps games like apex, valorant, cod and others but only STRINOVA / CALABIYAU made me comfortable and not too pressured.

I enjoy it a lot like for real (not only for baimo). Until now I still play strinova with passion. I think I can't leave this game anymore even though im not as good as anyone.

hoping this game will get the recognition it deserves. I LOVE YOU STRINOVA AND BAIMO XinghuiHeart

friend saw it on steam ironically, got into it once the open beta opened, watched the kariyu video down the line, joined here after the open beta ended, and I’ve been playing CN since. Stringifying’s unique and it’s a nice breather compared to all my friends playing R6 Apex and Val also made me realize I’m a better shot than I realize

I've been following you since I saw your promotional video on Bilibili in 2021. This is the TPS anime shooting game I have been most looking forward to. I started playing on the first day of the open beta last year, and seeing the highly designed characters made me love this game even more. The shooting feedback is very strong and addictive, and the Stringing is a novel design in TPS games. Although I know what happened at the end of the fourth season this year and has caused you to tread carefully, I want to say that you are pioneers and have great potential in esports. Please have confidence. BTW, Bai Mo BaimoDash is my favorite character, and I hope there will be more cool male characters and more beautiful female characters in the future.

Why I’m Hooked on Strinova

Since discovering Strinova, I've been completely immersed in its unique universe. What keeps me coming back is the game's innovative gameplay that seamlessly blends 2D and 3D elements, providing an unparalleled tactical shooting experience. The ability to switch between these two dimensions adds a strategic depth rarely seen in other games.

The multi-layered maps and the "stringification" mechanic enhance each match, requiring strategic thinking both offensively and defensively. Every game is a new opportunity to discover and master new tactics.

Moreover, the diversity of characters, each with unique skills and specific roles, allows me to personalize my play style and always find new ways to contribute to my team. Regular updates and the constant addition of new modes and maps keep the content fresh and exciting, ensuring I never get bored.

Finally, the anime aesthetics and polished graphics create a pleasing visual experience that perfectly complements the gameplay. The active community support and in-game events allow me to connect with other passionate players, making each gaming session even more rewarding.

In summary, Strinova is not just a game; it’s a tactical and visual adventure that captivates me day after day.

I have really become addicted to the game Z_dance

I was attracted by the attractive character designs. I also wanted to play a cartoon-style online shooter.
The 2D mechanics element is unique to this game and is a novel system not found in other games. This system is deep, very tactical and fun, so it was impossible to get bored of playing this game during the beta period.FuchsiaReadyToEat

My friend showed me the game on day 1 and so when trying to look for gameplay i stumbled on a bilibli CN gameplay video and thought "this looks interesting" and it has now consumed my summer as I've played on CN servers and putting in a couple hundred hours in a month's time. Calabiyau is some of the most fun I've had playing a shooter in a really long time, and I'm completely hooked.

I found Strinova on Twitch through Tuonto! The game looked interesting and cute so I tried it out, and I got really into the music and community! The people I've met through this game have all been lovely and the music and support have really helped motivate me to keep playing and make stuff like the English cover(s). Even in the beginning when I was emailing Eve questions about copyright and permissions to cover the song, she was so helpful, friendly, and supportive and it really made me excited to work on it each time I had the chance, and getting the opportunity to proofread translations, even if they may not be used in the final version, was a great opportunity and connected me to the other people interested in translation/localization. The community leads and the players have all been wonderful and I'm still enjoying the game despite my lack of skill, so I expect to keep playing this game (and making English covers of songs) for a long time. Also xinghui is bae so ofc Ill keep playing for her XinghuiFlower

I found Strinova from 1 instagram reel and was immediately hooked in. Strinova is honestly the most fun I've had in gaming since Black ops 2 and Halo 3. No other game in the landscape has me wanting to comeback more or think of how I could get better. The 2D feature flows into gameplay so well that it's honestly insane that no one thought of it before. I really can't wait for more from this game, it's my new obsession. 💙

I needed an escape from some in real troubles I’ve been facing and several friends recommended this game to me. I didn’t have any expectations, nor did I have any prior knowledge of this game. However, once I gave it a try I won’t lie.. I couldn’t stand it. I tried again and again and once I found my character (fuchsia) it all clicked. I instantly felt myself diving further and further into the game and loved its competitive nature. The graphics and the designs are fantastic in itself but what did it for me was finding the character that resonates with my style and kept me hooked on continuing. Thank you for your consideration

I found Strinova through Kariyu's video "Weirdest Anime Shooter You've Never Heard Of". I had alreay been watching him via his "Drawing Tablet to Immortal" series. I then played the first beta test and fell in love with the game. I ended up using Audrey, Michele, and Yvette as my mains. What keeps me to the game and wanting to play more is the whole stringify concept, and also waiting for the story mode. I hope to see esports develop in the future as I've even seen pro Valorant player Aspas playing. I hope for another beta test but even then, I'll still be waiting for the full release. Whenever that may be.

Found out about Strinova thru Kariyu, but decided to wait for the Open Beta
I've been a fighting game enjoyer (mainly platform fighting games but traditional and anime fighting games are good too) for the longest time, but I decided that Strinova beta is when I would take a break from fighting games and possibly try something new

it's impossible to properly describe how quickly I rushed to sign up for the beta the moment i realized it existed (later than i'd like to admit FuchsiaSad ) and how snappy and deep the mechanics felt to the point where I found myself grinding Strinova alot, MORE than the games I took a break from. Honestly never thought the systems Strinova has would be so well developed to the point where I'd spend 4 days editing a montage for it but here I am and i'm enjoying it. Can't wait to be able to play again!

i got introduced to strinova through kariyu as i was getting bored of valorant, and the similiar gameplay objectives mixed with more action based shooting got me pretty interested. on top of that, the stringify mechanics was also really interesting to watch and learn, and got me thinking about the weird movement stuff you could do with it (of course theres also the anime part which was really fun). after playing for a bit, the many different playstyles you could use led me to keep playing, and learning all the different characters was always fun

I found strinova a year or so ago from tuonto's stream and became extremely interested once i learned it had a global release coming. After slowly getting better through the previous 2 betas, i fell in love with the competitive nature of the game and cant wait to get back on the ranked grind again. The stringify mechanic is extremely refreshing as opposed to crouch/drop shots in other games, and the combination of both third person and first person aiming brings out some very nice variety in gun fights. Looking forward to playing again soon.

I found stinova through social media.
In the very first instance I thought the concept of going 2d was kinda silly at first. However, the second I played it, it was awesome. The movement and the interactions were great. I played it one weekend and I wanted to play it again and again. I couldn't get enough of it. Better yet it made me enjoy a playstyle that I don't normally like(sniper and support). So I'm going to be so happy for the release soon.

Several weeks later, I rediscovered it at Kariyu's channel on the "Weirdest Annime Shooter You've Never Heard Of" and was immediately interested. Tried for several days to get into the CN server but I don't really understand, so I just waited for Strinova's CBT.

Boy, oh boy did I wait, the moment the CBT started, I immediately started playing and get hooked. I liked the idea of the Stringifying and the combination of '2D' and '3D' gameplay, but what makes me stay in the game is because you don't just get 1 shotted to death, at least you still feel like shooting and dealing damage to enemies even though they're mostly useless hahaha.

Anyways, I'm not really active in the discord, but I actively reach out to my friends about the game, and I just can't wait for the global release! It's honestly one of the most interesting and unique shooter game (from my preference).

(Don't mind my way too long story, I just don't have anything to do on my free time)

I found this game due to Calabiyau (before changing into Strinova) announcement and straightly joining the discord server for more details. at that time i missed the opportunity to register at CBT and "Closed" Technical test while also does not have any connection to play on CN server (albeit i'm aware there is a tutorial of it).

But after the recent technical test, i really wanna play this game, in fact I also invited my RL gaming squad to play a party of 5. Also. the favorite mode i like is the payload mode 👀

After closing up the server, i've marked this game to played again when its launched with my entire squad so i stay!
Thanks! 😉

Honestly, I had no idea Strinova was even a thing until I stumbled onto Kariyu's 100 day video about it. I wasn't every big on shooters like valorant or csgo but something about it clicked in my brain, so I signed up for the beta on steam and waited. Besides it's just a beta, no harm in trying the game out right?
Couple friends told me about the game after the beta came out when I wasn't paying attention, so I quickly hopped on and gave it a shot. The game was a lot of fun with some quick feedback and fun strategies to use, I loved that I could try to outsmart my opponent based on their character choice. Played with a couple friends and honestly had a blast with them, even if the game didn't seem like their type.
Just to pick something, I'd say my favorite part about the game is the variety of game modes and proposed game modes from the survey. So even if I get tired of playing demolition, I could go play another mode and enjoy myself without switching games.

Love the game, I patiently wait for it to come out sometime in Q4. I just hope it doesn't get overshadowed by a greedy monetization system when it launches universally.

I discovered the calabiyau (Strinova) about two weeks before the chinese release. Anyone who follows gacha releases knows that that month was really saturated with releases, and calabiyau jumped out to me as a game that sounds interesting (one of the only two anine shooters on the market, with the other one being Snowbreak). I played the chinese version since day one, and then discovered the global community somewhere in August September (in the server called calabiyau en gang). At the time I wanted to try out new stuff, still remember during the summer waking up to do dailies in genshin, Snowbreak, then hopping on Cala and gaming the rest of the day. Good times.

Anyways I guess you can call me a day one player

I was scrolling through instagram looking for brainrot as usual when I got an ad of this new anime paper shooter. It was still days away from the test being released so I just spread word about it to my friends and colleagues. What was supposed to be a fun game to play for a day became a full dedicated week of playing this game and honestly I can't wait for it. I will miss the release date due to my job but best believe I will play this again the day I get back.

I am a long time fan of Kariyu and his content. When I saw his video on the game (CN version) I told my friends about it and could not wait for the EN beta. I had a really fun time during beta because the game feels so fluid and responsive and the matches don't take forever compared to over 5v5 team shooters!

I initially discovered Strinova from a tiktok around a year ago and thought it was interesting. What made me actively follow the game though is seeing Kariyu streaming the game and realizing just how dynamic the game really was. I joined the main Strinova discord as well as the Calabiyau english gang discord to follow when an opportunity to play the game officially outside of China. I signed up to the Technical Beta Test as soon as I could and when I was invited and finally got to play, I was hooked on the mechanics and characters. After that test ended I was eagerly waiting for the open betas release. I told all my friends about the game so I could play the beta with some people (even though I could only play with one because of how much I was playing ranked 😭 ). After the open beta ended I had an itch for Strinova that I couldn't get rid of. Since I couldn't get Strinova off my mind I decided to get in the China servers so I could finally quell my thoughts. I am now playing on the Chinese servers (maining Galatea she's so fun) and eagerly waiting for the next global test to play with friends again (unranked mode please I beg 🙏 ).

Game instantly caught my eye with its stringify mechanic , paper onto walls too, then came the gunplay that looked ... suprisingly really good.. then trying it out on the playtest.. it felt really nice.. aiming, registration wasnt bad, the maps unique in conjunction to the core mechanics of the game, i instantly fell in love. I am in withdrawal right now not being able to play it without having to go through hoops to play CN. I need more now... my friend introduced me to this drug and then took it away. quite rude if you ask me.
Further more, the anime character designs is amazing.. normally you'd only ever see this in either an MMO or gacha game, but to make it into a well designed shooter with high skill ceiling? Yes... I need more. please give me more.

(Whole essay alert!) Strinova actually holds a special place in my heart, like I am completely in love with the game, and it's not for the reason people might think at first. Like some other people, I found Strinova through Kariyu. I loved the anime aesthetic, the mechanics, and the characters, plus I have always enjoyed shooters. However, I also decided to use Strinova as a stepping stone to get over my online anxiety. I'm much more shy online than IRL, like I have pretty much no presence on any online community besides this discord server and the English Calabiyau server, and I'd get nervous to play any multiplayer game, even before starting the game up. Honestly, I'd probably never write something like this a month ago.

Before hopping into my first game of Strinova in the beta, I was completely terrified, worried about being roasted and put down for my lack of skills. My hands shaked and my heart was beating so fast to the point where my chest felt like it was getting hot. I haven't even booted the game yet! But now I can just go on Calabiyau and press play without any self-motivation, telling myself that I don't have to be the best in the beginning and that I should accept any negative feedback (I'm still going to tilt though because of toxic comments!). This even translated to Marvel Rivals when I tried the game today. I just joined games without much self-motivation, feeling more comfortable getting destroyed or not doing well compared to my team.

Strinova has helped me grow as a person in ways I hadn't thought possible. I'm not writing this for the reward, just to share my story of why I love this game so much: I love it because of what it's done for me, and that's why I stay (and of course I also stay because this game is very fun for me). I hope everyone enjoys the game, and I mean that with all my heart. XinghuiHappy

We install it.
Wait until june 19
We play it for the ten days that it lasted (11 if you wanna be picky)
Grinded escort the most.
I rotated throught mains in all of this.
Started with ming, got to Flavia, to celestia, to Michele, to kokona/kanami, to ming again.
Grinded the Game so much that i had like 80% win rate.
Friends and i argue about If string mechanic is op or not (its a mechanic for a reason, of course it's good)
Got closer with my buddies thanks to anime girls.
Got sad when quark test ended...
Now i wait till full release.

I think it's pretty simple myself.

I discovered Strinova through Kariyu when i was pretty much burnt out from competitive shooters, so i was honestly not that hyped about another shooter game. BUT I would be lying if I don't say the anime aesthetic got me pretty interested in it. Plus as a gacha player the gacha cosmetic system having a pity system made me actually want to try the game. I couldn't get into the first global beta because of my personal life issues but when I was done with them I hopped on CN server and played for literally 10 hours straight. I fell in love with it, the movement was fun and complex. The aim played a big part again as it's a shooter but it felt like not playing with your team makes this game actually hard and boring to play. You had to help your teammates, cover for them, fight for them. Having a long kill time actually made me think that I "had" teammates. Strinova was actually a breath of fresh air for me, after playing so many games that had short kill time playing something like this was discovering diamond in a coal cave. I tried to get my friends into the CN server, some of them tried with me as well and they fell in love with it as well. The ping is a problem sometimes but there is a Turkish saying exactly for these type of things: "He who loves the rose, endures its thorns." I'm waiting for the global release. 🫡

Strinova's blend of traditional FPS elements with unique mechanics like transforming into paper mode and weapon/ability upgrade paths initially drew me in. As an FPS veteran, I found its fresh approach captivating, especially the strategic depth added by switching between 3D and various paper modes during combat. Strinova is not just another shooter; It showcases how innovation can redefine the FPS genre, which is why I'm proud to be a part of its community.

I first found out about Strinova from watching Kariyu's video where he talked about his experience with playing the game for 100 hours. I found the concept of stringification super cool, honestly one of the most unique and fun mechanics I've ever seen. After getting a little burnt out from Valorant, I wanted Strinova to become my main fps competitive game, if I liked it, and well... I absolutely loved it! The mechanics, balancing, abilities, team play, everything was so on point and so fun I played for hours on end every day. The beta was an incredibly fun time, I've met many amazing people and had lots of fun! Hopefully we'll get the release soon, can't wait to play it full time!

P.S. thank goodness competitive games only go up to 9 rounds, most genius innovation I've ever seen. 13 was way, way, way too much haha

Recently, I found a game called Stirnova and fell in love with it. Its mechanics for shooting reminded me of other 5v5 shooters I’ve played before but it was the unique style of movement that really made it special. The 2d mechanic on this was unlike anything else I’d ever experienced and it made the gameplay so much more involving.

One thing about Stirnova that I really like is how each character’s weapon can feel completely different with the right upgrades even though they are all very similar, even the same 2 characters can have completely different weapon styles and ability kits that makes their playstyle different. That adds another layer to strategy and customization which helps to keep things exciting and moving forward in a progressive manner in the game.

Stirnova had innovative movement styles and varied weapon mechanics which made it difficult to play similar games like: valorant, and overwatch afterwords. The game has set new standards for its genre.

Came to know about Strinova via Steam's discovery queue, initially i felt a bit dejected thinking that I didn't get access to the beta test but then through some other people in discord, i found out about the launcher option instead.

I decided to call some friends and we hopped on together for some matches and I immediately fell in love with its simplistic but bizarre and fun mechanics of paper/string mode, By observing the more experienced players from China who were also testing out the Global release, I realized that although simplistic, it provided varying amount of advantage and disadvantage based on which characters you are playing with and against which again just fueled my interest for the game XinghuiFlower .

The community felt more welcoming than most shooters and a lot of MingLaugh moments were shared between me and my friends in our matches. The global/world chat spoke for itself and some "notable FuchsiaStalk " names are there that i still remember and hope to meet again in the official global release.
All in all, it is a wonderful game that i hope to enjoy more in the future.

I saw the gameplay online and loving games like Valorant and Overwatch, Strinova really stood out. I love the paper mode mechanic the most out of everything. Super creative and unique

I discovered Strinova from a content creator named Kariyu. The game mechanics and the character design is what kept me glued to the game.

Wasn't sure how to feel when I first heard it was going to be a third person shooter, since I've always preferred first person shooters such as apex or tf2, but the stringify "paper mode" looked goofy and unique which lead me to try it out! And I definitely am glad I did. What kept me playing was the gunplay, cute characters, and being able to use stringify to corner peek, and work off of information. It has kept me playing, and I can't wait for global release 🙂

When I first saw strinova I was watching a streamer play the Chinese version of the game. I found out that there was an ongoing beta at the moment. I rushed to install it. The moment I opened the game I fell in love. Usually I'm bad at shooting games and I stop immediately but with strinova it didn't matter if I was bad or not I was playing cus I enjoyed it. Me and my friend had such a great time together and many funny moments so we both can't wait to play it again! 😍

I learned about this game from my friend who introduced me during the playtest. After unlocking the standard ranked game mode, I was hooked on the gameplay loop. I was never able to get into precision shooters like Valorant because my first shot accuracy is not the greatest. Competing through recoil management is much more fun for me! Needless to say, the character designs are also stunning.

My journey with Strinova began in the most unexpected way 🌠! I stumbled upon Kariyu's Twitch streams one day, and it was like discovering a hidden galaxy filled with excitement and adventure 🚀✨! I was absolutely mesmerized by the gameplay, the community, and everything Strinova had to offer! But, alas, there was a tiny hiccup—I needed an account on a certain buzzing social media platform (you know, the one that sounds like "BeeChat" 🐝💬) to join in the fun.

Fast forward to the technical beta test, and guess who got in? 🙋‍♂️ That's right, this guy! The beta was an absolute blast, like riding a comet through the stars 🌌💫. I had so much fun that I couldn't resist—I went ahead and got that special account just so I could dive headfirst into the CN version 🌏🚀. And let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! 🎉

Playing on the CN version has been nothing short of an interstellar adventure 🚀⭐. The diverse cast of characters is amazing, and I've loved getting to know each one 🎭💖. Mastering the unique paper mechanic, or "stringified" mode, has been an exciting challenge—it's so satisfying to outplay my opponents with clever strategies 🧩🕹️! But what really made the experience unforgettable was meeting so many passionate players in the beta. The community is just as fantastic as the game itself, and it's been wonderful connecting with others who share my love for Strinova 🤝⭐.

I'm still having a blast on the CN version and am beyond excited for the global release! 🌍🚀 The thought of sharing this amazing game with even more people around the world just fills me with joy! 😄 Here's to many more epic adventures, unforgettable moments, and countless hours of fun in the world of Strinova! 🚀💫⭐

I used to compete at the near highest level with a lot of different games, but had to take a break due to being diagnosed with heart disease two years ago, to the day. High-stakes gaming, even if I tried to remain calm, subconsciously made my body feel so much pain and sent me to bed. It was incredibly frustrating because I've had to change so much about my life, and video games are my #1 escape. I learned about Strinova from my girlfriend back in April, and I honestly didn't think too much of it. I was reminded of it when I saw the tourney on Twitch, and decided to check it out. I mostly played scrimmage, but it sparked something I used to love so much about competitive gaming. Since the Quark Test came to an end, I've been playing on the CN version almost every day and very much enjoying coming back to ranked matches with this community. It's still an adjustment with my heart issues, but I feel more at ease with my knowledgable teammates. I make it part of my routine every day to play at least 1-2 ranked matches after work! Its something I can look forward to every day! Thank you, Strinova!

Found strinova through just randomly scrolling bilibili, then found that some people on youtube played it, specifically Kariyu and Tuonto, and thought I'd see what's up. I was drawn to the game by the funny stringify 2d mechanic and just needed another game to play after all the one's i played before shut down.

I suppose I happened upon Strinova by browsing around randomly.
Though it is difficult to remember where exactly, I found the game somewhere, probably a Steam recommendation while browsing around?
Anyways, the game looked promising, so it would be a challenge to forget it so easily.
I noticed I've missed some beta tests as well 😅
Eventually though, curiosity (as well as FOMO) led me to search for some gameplay, as having missed out did not feel good 😭 😂
And as it turns out, the game is very well put together.
As a result of the previous beta tests looking so impressive, I greatly look forward to what comes next!
Note:
The mechanics, the aesthetic, it all appears to come together quite nicely, and I am seriously excited to play it myself!
The stringification (which, surprisingly isn't a real word. it should be!) is a very neat, novel idea that sets Strinova apart.
Also, is "stringification" supposed to mean becoming 1-dimensional in a way?

My long term Moderator and Friend of 6 years has been following Strinova since it was first announced in china, I was completely unaware of its development but when the beta became life here in the west, He told me to give it a try. I am formerly a Radiant Valorant player and was certainly interested when I saw how vibrant and unique the game looked. As soon as I played my first few matches I was completely hooked day in and out grinding ranked with some buddies. Very grateful to have friends introduce me to a game I am super excited to play and be apart of on next beta test and for future launch. What an incredible experience.

My steam queue straight up threw the game into my face a while back during the quark beta test. Normally I'm a bit adamant on picking up new games with consistent updates, but the trailers seemed nice enough, and it was still beta testing so I'd have time to think it through of course.

I rather enjoyed the "stringification" mechanics (although it makes you flat instead of truly "stringy"), but what really kept me in the game were the ✂️ . Truly the best group naming of all time WarfLMAO

Jokes aside, the game is currently getting me to improve my horrible aim. Hopefully it isn't as goofy as Valorant or COD or something, but I foresee sinking a bit of effort into the game as something I would enjoy.

I actually discovered Strinova through a random Overwatch Twitter user who was comparing one of the in game maps to Operation Gibraltar. I thought the game looked interesting so I signed up for the CBT last month. To my surprise I was really enjoying the game. Felt like a unique blend of Overwatch and Counter Strike/Siege. The characters were all enjoyable to look at but really took a personal liking to Flavia! Her second chance mechanic and powerful SMG got me comfortable enough to play Ranked where I hit Gold 3! Looking forward to more time in Strinova whenever the opportunity arises

Found the game through kariyu around april this year and it was originally listed as my "maybe I'll play if it gets a mobile release" game.

Then a vid of tuonto playing strinova appeared last month and i decided to give it a try since quark test was around the corner. I'd gotten a favourite character (kokona forever), a few all-nighters, multiple lag spikes and lag, and even met a lot of new people which i probably wouldn't if it weren't for this game. Pc games weren't my forte even during my valo times so hopefully mobile ver comes out soon (imagine strinova mobile before valo mobile). WE BALL

I got an ad about Strinova, and it looked pretty cool so I downloaded it. While the download played, I tried searching on Youtube for some videos on it but all I could find were Kariyu's videos and only a few other ones.
That's when I found out it was in quark test, the beta, so I decided to give it a genuine try.
Actually, I didn't like the gameplay too much, my computer couldn't handle the graphics, and the inaccuracy of the guns made me not like it at first.
Then I made a great decision to keep trying it.
I got used to the mechanics, the gunplay, and abilities after a couple hours. It actually felt really good to play.
I found myself having lots of fun just playing the game (17% win rate lmao) and looked forward to playing it for a few hours every day.
After a while, the quark test ended, and I couldn't play anymore for a while.
Since that day, I have been waiting for the full release of the game until now. Somehow, I have not lost interest, and instead my eagerness to join the community again has grown.
(I think that is just addiction actually lol)

My little sister loved watching other people (streamers) play this game, but the problem was it hadn't come out in America, so she never had the chance to actually play it for herself, (that's how she learned to count in ChineseAudreyWhat) So I kept my eye on it for a while and saw they announced there would be an English playtest! We convinced out friend to download it as well and found that we played for a solid 9 hours before realizing we finally found a game that we can play together and that we both like (since we have different tastes it is quite difficult to do so). We were crying from laughing because we had so much fun playing, so we played every chance we got (since our cousin has a slight addiction to getting rewards). Its a great game with mechanics they are WAY better at using than me, but that's why I like it so much. No matter who you are or what you like, you can find a character and a strategy that fits your play style and enjoy the game in your own way. :)

Found the game 3-4 years ago when it wasn't out yet and didnt have a name in a youtube video by Zackie-senpai I think while looking at a different game, forgot about it.

Then saw it again when it came out in CN and wished I could play. Then life happens and I forgot about the game again.

Then I found the english version is finally being made! ALL because Mocha from strinova a staff (IDK if they still are) in this discord added me as a friend on discord (since my name is mocha, and people add me all the time to see if the name is taken). They had there name set as "Mocha from strinvoa" and im like what is strinova, so i google it. my face when its the game I forgot about again with a new name and I can finally start playing it gasp. Was looking online for any anime multiplayer games about 2 years ago and seen a few short videos of Calabiyau and though it looked like just what I have been looking for for years, an anime competitive shooter. So I started looking further into it and found out it was coming out in China first with no confirmation of a global release that made me very sad so I forgot about it for a year. Then I seen some gameplay of it and I decided to look into how to play it. Managed to get into the game and became hooked on it. Then a few months after that I was trying to find any info about a global release when I stumbled upon a steam db store page that wasnt live. looking into that further I seen some screenshots that were definitely Calabiyau. Very exited I told my friends what I had found and then they became hyped to play to. Fast forward to now and global release is imminent I have been playing more than ever to get practice for global. So exited to play Strinova on EU servers cant wait. ^-^

This is an interesting question for me because I can trace the events that lead me to discovering Strinova all the way back to 2014 I believe it was when my sister showed me the Red trailer of RWBY. That was my first introduction to anything remotely Anime and honestly I absolutely loved it. About a year and a half later my sister reminded me about RWBY again and so I started binging it and then watching it weekly once I caught up. Some time around the third season I found a RWBY mod for minecraft and joined the dev's discord server. Shortly after I took a class in College for C programming and after finshing that class I started my own minecraft mod. It was also about this time that I started working closely with the dev of the RWBY mod to help with programming there as well. At this point RWBY was still my only connection to the anime world, but this would soon change. On a family road trip I noticed my sister watching an anime (Macross F) and thought that it looked pretty neat as well (confession, I still haven't actually watched this anime lol). After the trip I started looking for anime to watch that might be interesting, got a few tips from some people on discord and ended up with FLCL as my first anime. Despite being absolutely confused as all heck and also having only 6 episodes, I really enjoyed it and continued to watch more anime. A little bit later, the main dev of the minecraft RWBY mod told me about this free anime game with an open world and characters you could collect that was going to be releasing soon. I honestly had no intentions of playing it at the time, but a few more weeks of pestering and I finally decided to preload the game just before release. The game finally released and I found myself actually having a lot of fun (between the crashes and freezing every 30 minutes or so because I was playing on my laptop with an Intel chip), and thus Genshin Impact became my introduction to anime and gacha games. A few years later, a few more regions to Genshin Impact, a whole new game from Mihoyo, Honkai Star Rail, and other anime games like Nier Automata, and I began to think "what if there was a game like Genshin Impact, but with guns". So I started searching, and what I found was..... well.... what I found was nothing. I was surprised, and honestly I still am surprised, so some time later I searched again. This time I did find something. It wasn't open world like Genshin Impact, it wasn't mission based like Honkai Impact the 3rd, but instead it was a standard FPS format like Call of Duty, but it did have one interesting mechanic to it that was rather strange (aside from being anime) and that was that the girls could turn into paper. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was interesting, so I did more searching of Calabiyau and found out it was still in development in China and that there hadn't been any new news in a few months. At this point I thought my search had run dry and that I was never going to find anything. A few more months go by and I do another search. This time however, I did not come up empty as I found the Calabiyau discord server and found out the game had been released in China already. As a bit of a side tangent, while in the Calabiyau discord server, I asked about other similar games and got one single recommendation: Snowbreak. This game is basically Honkai Impact, but as a TPS, and it's alright, but I find the mission based aspect of it to be kind of boring (an issue I have with Honkai Impact too). Another few months go by and then there is a ping in the Calabiyau server linking to another server, Strinova. I instantly joined that server too and then last month all my waiting payed off with the announcement of the Quark Beta Test. This was my first opportunity to play the game and honestly I absolutely loved it.

#

I've never actually been good at these FPS games before, but I grew up playing CoD over at my friends' houses and still enjoyed them. I honestly can't remember the last time I had as much fun as I had playing Strinova. Between the great art style, well polished gunplay, and unique characters, I really enjoyed this game a lot and was sad when the beta was over. The unique stringification mechanic also adds a very unique and fun aspect of the game allowing you to use strategies you can't use in most other games and actually didn't take that long to get used to and fits in very well with the rest of the game. I am now very excitedly waiting for the next beta test in October and even more excitedly waiting for final release.

Thank you Calabiyau/Strinova team for filling the aching void in my game library for an anime shooter game and I wish you great success.

TL;DR:
Found RWBY. Found Anime. Found Anime games. Went looking for Anime Shooter Games, found nothing. Went looking again, found Calabiyau. Found Strinova. Found Strinova Beta Test. Fell in love with game and eagerly awaiting release.
