There we go! I could not tell exactly I just knew it was not a spit or a tempest
Translated a (once again) CN only post regarding Lilith observation notes in the Worldbuilding Sparknotes. It's...uhhhh... https://vxb23.tv/KE1OIXd
besides the wiki, where can I read more about strinova's lore in general?
so far I've only read their character info and bits about strinova
This gdoc
Hey folks, do we know what the little tattoo/sign/brand on the back of all the characters' neck/upper middle back is? I just noticed that all of them seem to have it and it varries (not necessarily reflecting their allignment with scissors/PUS/orbino)
bc like, Kanami has a PINK one, and Lawine has a blue one so it's not necessarily PUS color
The little Y-shaped mark?
That’s a little crystallized area of their bodies indicating they’re a superstring.
is it like the plug indication that they're in strinova
wish we could see the guys' ones but no skin has that area exposed
I wonder if Baimo has a green one
Nice
Werent you the guy who reacted to the original message chain
🥀
lmao i'm listening To The Beautiful in ur channel
such a good story and song got wasted
I also have alot of other content on my channel
Sulian
Another interesting theory (credit to a BUNCH of other people for exploring the idea more)
Basically, you know how every single playable character has a Y-shaped mark on the back of their neck denoting that they're a Superstring? A few people mentioned how that mark varies in color from character to character AND is consistent across every single skin (for example, Celestia's is always purple, Ming's is always red, etc.)
The idea is that there's an association between the mark color and emotions - namely, the emotions that likely triggered the evolution into a Superstring.
Current theory runs as thus:
They are absolutely lost in more ways than just lore
How does one become a superstring?
Leading theory is this channel is some sort of emotional trigger. To quote Shiinake,
Them (Strinovians) reaching Stage 1 makes the Emotion side to the Soul become closer Quantum Sequences/Strings.
(Explanation — Humans when migrating to Strinova had their "Memory" evolve, into what we know as Strings. They are still human, missing a few to become superstrings.)
This basically turns them into a full string/information based life form.
Wait, are Michele Superstring? She don't have power, all her skills are robots...
The fact that she can Stringify (AKA paper mode, something every playable Agent can do) already makes her a Superstring.
But from Maddalena's history we know, that all living creatures are 2D in first
All people in strinova can become 2D
probably, theoretically can, but not all can actually stringify from themselves
like all humans can read, but not everyone trained or want to read
have eyes, check
have brain, check
is it used to read? maybe not
the more concrete example is the new wuwa character
she can see human face like normal, but these are not remarkable from her PoV
turn a second and she immediately forgets who are you
(btw a real medical condition)
That relates more to the process of humans getting transferred to Strinova and all the stuff about Strinovan bodies, printers, and String Sequence Nodes. The actual ability to Stringify at will like what we see in-game is an expressly Superstring ability, as seen in this particular exchange from Season 2, Episode 3.
it seems to me that even the developers do not know who to call superstrings, they call all the inhabitants of Strinova, then only those who have the ability to control Bablo energy
In season 2 Galateya was a vilian, so now we have another lore
The actual plot details are likely retconned, but so far the underpinning worldbuilding details like what I said about Superstrings has remained pretty consistent.
As for the individual on the right side…the team leader re-examined the tall figure. While she looked honest, was wearing a proper uniform, and had her hair in a standard ponytail, her eyes were blank as if she was distracted.
Could it be possible that someone like her is a Superstring?
That's from Flavia story
So not all people in Strinova are superstrings
Correct. But all playable characters in the game ARE Superstrings.
No, Lilith doesn't 😁 😁 😁
Okay, fine, playable HUMAN characters.
Wait, maybe this isn't a superstring indicator, but rather an indicator of the remaining String Sequence Nodes, since the older the character, the fewer of them there are, and it also glows when superstrings use their abilities (Chiyo and Eika)
Nope. Navigator can't since he had to remind Mich that they aren't a superstring and can't glide during last year's CN New Year event
Lilith is a crystalline. Wait she can paper?
no, she can't
Yep. She is a crystalline
but in the story of Maddalena we were told that the bodies of the Strinovians were originally 2D
I'll let shii take the reins. They probably hace a good explanation. My best guess is painters start it in 2d, but guiding a soul effectively locks it in 3d because of the rules of our world being forced into strinova
That or its a misread
Because no animals exist
Also, lore is a mess
Can you send me the quote and where it is in the translation? We are basing it on RAF's translation
i'm read all character story from Wiki? don't know who is translator
Most likely RAF. Can you send quote? Are they dorm logs?
This is the first time that non-human Strinovan life has made the transition from 2D to 3D, albeit briefly. This is a great breakthrough,” Yvette commented, her calm tone tinged with joy. She turned to her fellow artist. “Miss Maddelena…”
Ok. Investigating that nkw
Seeing more context, they were trying to "resurrect" (as in the koko ult) an animal. We may have seen how reconstruction works. Wait lemme arrive home first. I have an idea
maybe it is the Reincarnation Project? in Meredith story to make 'Reincarnation'? she say “This save disk contains some of my memories and knowledge, and a spare Strinovan body is also ready,” Meredith explained. “Don’t worry about me being unable to support your operations. When my String Sequence Nodes can no longer support this, I will perform ‘reincarnation’ on myself.”
I can somewhat explain this
One of the setback and anchor points of Superstrings is in the Evolution of their state of being(see Revised Superstring Evolution theory by yours truly)
This is likely due to the fact that well, living cells can store hella amounts of information (a gram of DNA can hold as much as an exabyte based on studies)
Stringification is a semi-conscious instant calculation on the superstrings to basically convert 10~ exabytes worth of data into strings in under a second
(The entire internet is 181 zettabytes and Superstrings are roughly converting 0.0055% of the internet's data into strings in under a second or in scale, Think of Superstrings converting 1% of everything that was posted in Youtube into a doc file format in under 1 second.)
The robots are mostly just material compound which they already have the technology to "digitize" (turn into information that they can carry along with their own (hence why you can see them carry their guns and equipment even after Stringifying and not just leaving them on the ground whenever they stringify)
what @wraith parrot is practically saying is stringifying inanimate objects are easier because the universe has the literal data bandwidth for that. the humans practically did the equivalent of making themselves into a zipfile so they can transport themselves because the universe cannot handle that much info.
if you know abit about how data compression works, the string sequence is the file compressed, the vessel/ body is like the dictionary to "decompress the file"
ok really shitty anolgy ngl
it's more a projection and not really just data compression
basically a 3d object is projecting itself in the world of strinova
well it's more complicated. best way i can put it is that the string sequence is the actual data of a "thing" while the 2D body is a "projection matrix" of sorts to translate a thing, consciousness and all, into strinova. the reason why inanimate objects are easier to stringify is because it's less computationally problematic
as a person who took computer graphics class, it's a pain in the ass to think about those shits

there's lore?
lol
yep
A mess lmao
the funniest part, most of it is past tense
Addendum: a good story mode. Because we could get monkey's pawed with a story mode written by Generative Abominable Intelligence.
a story where Kanami steals Celestia from Kokona, knowing they are best friends, which eventually turns into an Indian dance faceoff
in the middle of an escort'
Are you just reciting what happened in the Strinova mobile ad
exactly
hello Kokona, Kanami is my new best friend now, teehee~
and i can catch sniper rifle bullet with my fingers
If only it was like that
This is more accurate to xh shield protection
this is an accurate description of me as Celestia trying to push the escort while a Kokona or Kanami is aiming at my head

has it been discussed if ballistics in Strinova are lethal enough to render conventional body armor effectively worthless and thereby relying upon regenerative energy shields as the means of protection and also henceforth why no one dresses as if they're actually entering a warzone bc there's no point? And so the only point of tactical gear would be extra pouches.
Kydros
I don’t believe this has been discussed, and what you said could potentially be a reason (that or just “because video game” and anime marketability).
it would probably require additional rationale such as why bullets dont penetrate thinner structural surfaces or wood columns.
Now i'm gonna start paying extra attention to the objects in the maps
that or the whole view that clothes are effectively apart of one's body/construction (like i've seen discussed along with hair) and therefore it's technically all the same thing. I'm probably butchering that.
Anyway, we - like Nikke - can also justify crazy stuff such as why half the boots on the ground are doing nothing to protect their center mass
If I had to come up with justification off the rip, I’d probably say that it’s because of the inherent resilience of Superstrings.
simple...
...because they can replace damaged body or repair the destroyed strings in it as long as mind is intact.
Apparently only Bablo weapons can hurt superstring.
But if you'll use for example a real knife, they will bleed like humans instead of losing strings.
So they don't need tactical gear to slow them down.
Lost me a bit there. Is there a writeup for this?
So, a conventional weapon causes SSs to bleed but Bablo weapons cause them to at least partially deconstruct? Do I have that right?
Man I really need time to sit down and read all the lore
maybe I'll get to it before I start the second draft of the fic I'm working on to amend stuff like this
I wouldn’t be too surprised if reversestring bullets also affected an around their point of contact larger than your typical tactical armor can cover or somesuch, making energy shields the best way to protect against them.
A complicating factor here, presuming everytime in the context of the game the SSs are fighting each other with bablo weapons. But as it says, unlike Bablo wounds, physical wounds cause pain.
All the characters grunt and react to getting hit as if it hurts while they're presuming getting shot at by reversestring ammo
we can maybe stretch it to different death voice lines (e.g from reversestring vs. melee)
so they fell asleep in hot water bath?
sounds dangerous irl
The thing is, in Strinova all superstrings (and other humans) have to follow the same habits they had on earth, or their mind will shatter and collapse, twisting them into "monsters"
So they eat, sleep, feel "pain" even if they don't need to or don't really feel it. Bwa, their hearts are not beating xD
they're immortal.
They don't age, just order new bodies
Hi
What do you think about a stand skill?
Right, I remember seeing some notes on that in the lore doc
Kydros
I PANICKED AND GOT NOBU'D
😭
was just tryna warm up for ranked
idk why no one broke my a3 so i tpd back and backshotted
it's 3:50am for me, why I was even playing... xD
but yea...
LORE
i love LORE
You can’t die. So does this mean that you can swim inside of lava?
?
If an Emberspit does what it does to players in-game, whaddya think taking a plunge into lava would do?
That’s true
Ask it in #1342687979491168387 cheese
Don't worry RAF. The kid has not played the game ever.
(oh, don’t worry, I know)
Oh. Okay
That’s true
And I even tried to get it using my id
But they never sent me an email back
But the manga said that normal weapons couldn't harm a Strynovian's body, so special bullets were invented.
Maybe Strynova's lore was completely rewritten after it come in global
reread
The body heals itself over time when hurt with normal weapon.
To restore bablo weapon injury you need reconstruction.
Team I making a prequel to Strinove would you like to read it?
Let me know what you think...
its not finished yet coming up on Ao3
I didn't realize they finally fixed the voice lines missing in the story prologue!
FINALLY

i was slightly disappointed in S1/early game that the voices are missing, but now is not an issue anymore
at least in EN, idk for JP/CN since I prefer that
There were missing lines?
yes)
i doubt most bullets are normal
like, we have bai mo shooting slime at people and doing more damage than eika, whos shooting fire (prob dragonbreath shells)
then theres stuff like chiyo's passive, which for some reason increases the damage of her gun?
after that we have audrey's infinite ammo
personally i think that the guns use some sort of "energy bullets" as ammo
which can be dirrectly manipulated by the user
it's anti-stringification paint
slime sounds funnier
man if only they'd fix/implement the rest of Celestia's dorm lines
yes, we know that it is Revestring bullets)
guess i skipped that section
Kokona must become the main antagonist of Strinova. Let's gather likes - - - and the developers will release a story update.. where Kokona commits unforgivable crimes against all the characters of Strinova.
The reason for Kokona's malice... Her coconuts are smaller compared to the other characters - - - and she wants to exploit all the characters of Strinova to extract coconut milk.

WHAT
kokona using her ult to boost someone is the perfect warcrime
yes, they're sisters
Yes. She's the rich wine aunt we've been all warned about

Strinova's biggest threat is Galatea playing pranks on all factions just for fun
pure fun
yes, maddie references her a lot
but gala doesnt really talk about her
why?
Gala got released way later than maddie
And they prob wanted to sneakpeek gala through maddie voicelines
Also it could be just that maddie looks up to her sister
both were planned in the lore for a long time though probably
gala appeared in the lore like 2-3 seasons before her release
The biggest threat in Strinova is Celestia if she stopped giving a fuck tbh
She is the closest thing to someone who would create the medicine for immortality

yes, it's called coffee
That much overworked huh?
Nobunaga has PTSD or smt
Bro literally wakes up in pain from betrayal
😭
They gotta release the story of what happened
that means bro ALWAYS remembers reiichi
ngl he still cares his bro even though bro took wrong way turn
wanna duo?
tryna catch up on lore so I can write my fic properly (nothing out yet, stilll on first draft)
so Meredith's story shows that at least until recently most people who died in Strinova weren't coming back (she's seemingly the only soul they cared to reconstitute after tjey blew up the base) and that reincarnation is only a recent development. Do we know how long ago the start of using that tech was and if it's become widespread? Other than Lawine's mention of memory wipes and reconstructions on CS patients in season 1.
It's unclear, but my guess is that the entire Meredith incident happened pretty early on into Strinova history (as in in the eighteen year period between the collapse of the Human Corridor to S1/present day). From that, my best guess is that Reincarnation/Restoration is something that was done pretty early, albeit not as efficiently as now (Meredith's story specifically calls out the anchoring effect of early memory reset treatments).
I also say this is early on because the Base S12 incident occurred during the time that The Scissors were known as The Cradle's Hand, which to me is pretty early Strinovan history.
noted
though it is odd the time jump we suddenly have Ming and they're talking like Reincarnation is still new
That to me is more Lawine just catching Ming up to speed, since her whole character thing in that story is that she didn't really care all that much about the grander context. Quote,
Due to struggling with the basic necessities for survival, Ming only had a vague understanding of these concepts. Her knowledge of Collapse Syndrome had always been limited to “some kind of terminal illness.” She knew that PUS seemed to have some unethical treatment methods, but she just treated it as just another piece of evidence of PUS's crimes and never thought of studying it in depth - she didn't have the mental capacity to do so. As Lawine introduced unfamiliar terms, they quickly entered Ming's brain, almost causing it to explode.
For Ming specifically, it's not that the concept itself is new - it was Lawine trying to find a good way to explain it to someone who, well, opts for more "talking with fists" as opposed to diving into the technical nitty-gritty.
Ah, wonderful. Ty
ming, probably
This gotta be cannon
【小样,听得还挺仔细【卡拉彼丘】-哔哩哔哩】 https://vxb23.tv/RYvolAF
hopefully!
That's a better explanation than mine. My explanation is "it's just an exposition dump"
@dull elk WHERE ARE YOU
???
(for the context for people who have no idea what's going on, Kierce's original kit design is a VERY darn close match for Cielle)
does anyone even know her kit yet?
No, but judging from that art, there’s probably a shield somewhere in the mix (which is what Kierce thought of).
guess we'll find out soon
If you had to make me guess what the kit is, probably Active Skill shield, Pharah-style Ultimate (that part is from her sole appearance in the Operation Unity logs).
i saw the cielle description
im gonna assume the color stuff is like her putting a front
and real personality is hidden
also merc hired when the law is "fuzzy" is a neat concept
It was originally a merc but now its fixer/operative
I used fixer in my posts cause I found that to be cooler and I interact with some fixers in another game
(insert Project Moon reference here)
idk about project moon but I did find this when I was translating (the article is the original name)
I have absolutely no clue if there are any similarities between project moon and type moon
they are moons ig
But idk if I could get the idea with executor so I went with something else
Project moon is limbus company and shit.
Type moon is the fate vn
yeah also dont watch fate or anything related so uhhh idk
third-rate fixer or some stuff
what does being a clock head do to project moon fanss
I wanted to write executer as well but I thought "nah she's a merc"
FYI, I'm currently working on doing rough localizations for both Kanami and Fuchsia dorm stories since apparently they haven't been translated.
It's slang

Cleaners — people who kill people without making a scene
Fixers — people who'd do any job as long as it pays
Executer — people who doea/completes the will of someone dead
it becomes flat and stale

You gain a shield
Type moon is what they call project moon
I have Chinese friends and they just call it that
No difference pretty much
Those who are genuinely confused and don't know the diff
Type Moon is the one who made the Fate, Tsukihime, MeltyBlood series — JP company
ProjectMoon is the one that made Lobotomy Corp, Library of Ruina and Limbus Company — KR company

big difference. one is korean, one is jp. they also make vastly different games.
One makes famous figures in history into anime girls, the other makes all of their characters suffer in a capitalist hellhole.
She is out
Kind of
But she looks kind of boring
But idk
Weird my Chinese friend told me they call project moon type moon
@blazing pewter ah nvm seems im wrong it's called 月亮计划 if ur looking about project moon in Chinese
Yeah mb but my friend called it type moon for some reason
Is that what your friends call fate?
He told me they call project moon type fate before I would have to ask him again
I see
Oh that
U meant the reply
No it's project moon
In Chinese
Ur looking for type fate?
Let me look
I will let u know when he tells me
@blazing pewter ok so people call it FGO instead of type moon
No pic perm rip
ok chat. what is this again
red herring or an actual easter egg
i forgot this exist
these keys looks like kanami, fragrans, nobu, flavia, meredith themed
I require lore knowledge
cause I just went down a rabbit hole seeing something on Chiyo's Swimsuit I never noticed before
and then noticing it on every character after
what is this?
an bablo energy indicator or a superstring sign, it's hard to say for sure
I don't really see it on Crystalines but it's on every Superstring
I look at Celestia and it seems she likes to keep it hidden
either with her hair or by mixing it in with her outfit like her Vampire/Demon outfit
though it's completely exposed in her Swimsuit outfit
and it seems that it's different color wise depending on the agent
here is a theory about the color of these symbols
Not so different tbh
One bases their works of the great works of literature
One bases it off great historical figures, myth or otherwise
consciousnessreborn
p sure scissors left this message
That symbol on the back of their necks represents that they have a 'power' of a superstring (able to go into paper/ 2D-3D). There was someone who theorised on what each color represents for each superstring. (Or what emotion awoke that. <I am unsure about this due to my memory, take that with a grain of salt.)
My assumption is that it's just personalized for each superstring
Send lore
We've got confirmed info on 2 of Superstrings.
Eika, who awakened her powers of control over fire through the need to protect her parents.
And Flavia, who was overtaken by grief and anger of losing her twin sister.
So we assume that it was the same for others, and the coresponding color comes from the emotions associated with awakening
Chiyo ang Galatea also use powers like this
CONSCI(OUS)
2 LIVES
REBORN
consciousness reborn
^
i wasn't sure of the spaces
What's the over/under about Cielle being Lawine's friend from PUS but memory wiped given the common dog motif?
For reference
Not impossible, but seems unlikely. There's namely no indication that she's ex-PUS, that'll probably have to wait for a potential BiliBili character story.
Hey how come we're not getting any localised versions of the bilibili stuff
I love lore
:C
-# I'm tryin'
another basic question
is Fragrans Blind or does she just like blinding herself in combat?
the latter, her cinematic trailer shows her heightened smell sense only activate after she blinds herself
that or it simply enables her to focus
When she need to sniffa she puts on the blindfold
She got that big sniffa
You think fragrans is a scent fetishist?
That's just normal sensory compensation
right, but obviously we don't get daredevil- tier sensory vision with our nose when we do it
And we also aren't immortal with powers that can defy physics now do we

Maybe. She is like Kenshi
I did a word vomit on twitter explaining stuff and state of lore so I'm posting it here for discussion.
Calabiyau at first (pre 2023) had so much more darker story, basing on the internal warfare conflict between factions as well as what it means to be human.
So of course we had one guy token per faction.
But over the next year of development and testing, they decided to go with lighter themes to not be compared to from other opoular games (Arknights, GF ect), as Calabiyau would get mauled, not having that much of money backup.
So they made it into silly waifu shooter. They tried to keep the story heavier as intended, but got negative reviews from CN community, displeased with Terrorist 4th faction as well as Audrey suffering even more in the story (she's already amnesiac, and now she got collapse syndrome)
So ids erased all the stuff that made CN playerbase complain and changed it, with current focus on Outbreak mode and Lilith.
Old lore:
In S3 story, Navigator got the bracelet.
New Bethleyem (4th faction) call the bracelet a staff. They also wanted Navigator to join them, and Abel (NB leader) said that they’re guiding or testing the true leader.
The 4th faction are a bit crazy. They're watching, manipulating, waiting for the moment when the old world would collapse, and the their vision can take over. Because everything in Strinova that humans brought in is reflection of old world that humanity built there. It's all fake.
But when you step into the true wilderness, you'll see Strinova in it's twisted, multidimensional form. NB wants to reach it, turning a fractured human vessel into monstrous form. The real human form in this world.
Audrey's case with them makes me think about purity through suffering... Abel believes that true salvation can only come after humanity faces judgment and returns to their roots.
It gives me Strinova = Zohar theory.
In the Zohar Moses is the reincarnated soul of Abel. And that would liiiiink so many plot points together. With 2nd Celestia, reincarnations, and all the philosophical and religious hints we have in chip skins descriptions.
new lore:
...And that was all erased and now we have 7 apostoles/sins, with one of them being Lilith who tries to turn Navigator into one of Crystallines, aka the human souls that took the intended form in strinova and not some png drawn by artists. (Operation restraint)
The goal is the same, we just have a waifu do it.
Basically. We could've had interesting three-way or even four-way factional conflict with honestly equally justified responses:
The Problem: Stuck in an alternate dimension with different rules that's just as s**ty as the physical world. It has its pros (no aging, wondrous technology), but glaring downsides. Notably, the world itself is literally trying to assimilate us into something different, AKA Collapse Syndrome -> Crystalline.
The Answers:
- PUS - "We stay and find a way to work with this. To do that, we stabilize this world politically and solve Collapse Syndrome."
- The Scissors - "Let's not bother dealing with this, let's go back to the real world and deal with those very human problems."
- Urbino - "This place sucks. Let's find a higher dimension to escape to, hopefully that's better."
- New Bethlehem - "Actually, becoming one with this world is the natural way of things. Let's just accelerate that."
But now we have Crystalline force of nature instead with marketable anime waifus, and not a lot of lore exploration of that three-way factional conflict besides tidbits here and there.
Don't forget they made one of the aliens fuckable
This game has declined even gameplay-wise
Like when they toned down the spread and recoil of all weapons
Increased everyone's HP, increasing the TTK as well
Changed round 1 and 2 dynamics due to armor changes
Now they have even removed weapon sway entirely
Soon this game will become AimLabs itself
Not to mention Mara, emberspit and melee slot
I need beta maddel 😭
insane lore
really does pain me listening to "To The Beautiful" the other day and was really excited about the initial vibes I got about Strinova between that (when it used to play on the launcher) and the opening cutscene just to be sitting here waiting for the next development and realizing we're not getting any of that.
Guess we'll need to do it ourselves.
Mhm. And more people than I can count on both of my hands that I know of have reached that conclusion.
To be fair my wildest guess is that Strinova was originally developed as a substitute for Valorant in the Chinese market
According to iDS they developed the game for two and a half year
Which should fall right in Valorant's release timeframe
However Tencent brought Valorant to China too early (June 23)
And thus to differrentiate themself from the FPS market they chose that
They wanted competitive but the playerbase saw it as another anime game from the start, probably due to the story and artstyle so if they wanted to be valorant killer it didnt work from the start
They did want to be the Valorant killer at release
See devs' interview on YT
However it failed
A no-name company versus a media conglomerate
The interview they did for global release? They had ambitions but it was pretty clear since the start it doesnt work, especially for the chinese market
Like from the start most people were there for the anime theme not really esports or competitive
But isn't her "blindfold" actually a visor that just looks like a blindfold? Like in NieR Automata?
probably not
her voice lines imply she uses olfactory sense (scent) to detect allies and enemies
Her cinematic trailer makes it pretty self explanatory
another thing I think is worth noting: without the darker originally planned story the main menu theme (like To the Beautiful) really loses a lot of its impact.
It's such a fantastic composition that conveys a sense of something beautiful being lost and the only way (perhaps) to hold onto it for even just a bit longer will require much hardship and at the end of the day there's no guarantee it will work, and it certainly won't last.
in a strange way, it goes well with the dorm since essentially it's the navigator spending time with/looking at his gf and realizing what's at stake if they fail and what he ultimately doesn't want to lose more than anything else
am I overanalyzing? Maybe, but I love the menu theme that much.
Hundo P percent agree with this, now that I think about it and took more time to look at it myself.
This also feels like it applies to some degree to the other (main) song with lyrics that Strinova has, AKA Kanami's "Beautiful World."
Global's basically only exposure to this besides marketing is that one cutscene at the end of Season 1 story that, well, people probably glossed over and forgot. And on its own, it just seems like a happy, optimistic, upbeat pop song.
But it hits significantly more with the context that, like much of Strinova lore, just isn't in Global - that being Kanami's Dorm Story (which I recently ran through).
In short, that entire dorm story is about Kanami both struggling with the difficulties of the idol industry AND general artistic difficulties of losing artistic spark and "going through the motions." This leads to her, in said dorm story, decide to take a hiatus from idol acitivities to go "travel and experience the world."
The result of her refound artistic spirit and refresh is heavily implied to be Beautiful World.
The optimism and hope of that piece, besides being fit for what a pop song would probably be like, also feels like it would gain more impact from greater emphasis on the darker side of the story (which, at current, is only slightly there).
make sense
wait when did lilith try to get navigator
In a lil side story.
Raf translated it

Yes

wdym?
if i explain the joke it won't be the joke
I heard there was some Kanami song that was different depending on the language you heard it
In the sense that it was biased towards a different faction depending on the language idk
that's her character theme iirc
it's a joke in indo community, "is this my..."
maybe @potent ridge can explain better

i forgot there are two indo mods here
Yall can say "karbit" to people saying that

any context?

im not amod man...
ah... my kisah
my
"my kisah" is type of slank for claiming a "waifu/husbando" without knowing anything about her/him
It's PUS tag
sefuh
anyway it's interesting how the navigator make truce with ALL THREE factions
- 1 crystalline who is personally interested
navigator isn't superstring so they can't be 2d sadly

Unfortunately I'm monolingual despite my best efforts so far so I have no idea
considering the factions are all essentially playing a video game when it comes to warfare I can't imagine tensions get as heated/personal and so stuff like Urbino agents on both sides and swapping depending on who's paying them that day falls within that
ming have this voice line when fuchsia is ally or enemy
ming praises fuchsia on a kill, but surprised when she is the enemy
michele towards ming is never not funny
michele will curse her when got knocked down
fragrans/eika is wholesome tho
=w=)
understandable given their history
yeah
she got bamboozled a scissors agent tricked her in plain sight
there is the donghua for this, and man
they WERE wholesome
we need them to be pair skins
i want Lawine's Ayala skin. Her fit when she shows up for Blue Parasol
lawine's PUS skin is good too
What kind of scientest do you think yvette is gonna be if she persued a science from modern day earth
It's because PUS is split itself. There's Flavia who cooperate with Meredith when it comes to erasing certain uncomfortable targets that she can't touch. (Scissors side story novel) Ming and Lawine actively try to turn Michele to their side, so she won't become one of Prism's/Opal (Strinova's government to which pus belong) chess pieces due to her Father's legacy (he's known as a Hero, saved many Humans back on Earth and helped them cross the human corridor before it got destroyed. Lawine was one of the people he saved, and she joined PUS because she got influenced by his actions. She knows Michele is his daughter, that's why she revealed the truth about PUS and Strinova true nature to her. Michele refused to give up her belief that PUS can change. Ming then tested her resolve, if Michele is ready to face pain and disappointment of the path she choose, and she stood her ground, even if she failed. That's what Ming needed to start respecting her.
But then second sunset happened, something got nuked in Preton, people died, there was full war behind the scenes.... but ids removed entire s2-4 story
Data analytist
Most likely working with endangered animals and how to preserve them, given how she's trying to recreate animals within Strinova.
When you say data analyst and endangered animals, do you think she would work more with the computer side or the animal side
I mean up to late SS4 story Michele and Eika were friends
Emphasis on the 'were'
Gotcha, thanks Ahi, I'm just now getting to the Manhwa since I'm working on a way for people to read the translation alongside the comic. I'll have something to share about that soon.
Elaboration - this is meant to be an in between between the current system (access the CN manhwa and translation doc in mirrored windows) and an actual typeset version of it (progress on that is still going, but slow).
Which characters have (at least officially in some manner) have a last name?
Confirmed: Michele Lee, Audrey Grove, Maddelena and Galatea Leary.
???: Celestia (if you take CN event fluff as canon, her last name is Zhaolu)
I remember kokona had like shiki right?
or was that an honorific of some sort
Zhaolu Xinghui, what event was that
Don't think it's an honorific, but I can't recall anywhere where Shiki was mentioned. Certainly not on Global.
It was like from a long time ago at least
(if I had to guess, probably buried somewhere in an old BiliBili post that I never looked at)
not sure if I can find any material that still calls her that but there was a time when there was a shiki
Ok found one
Go figure.
it's all over her outfit
her visor texture has her name written
you can barely make a writing here, but clearer on 3d model
are you sure the name of the bar is not after some other stuff but her father?
On second glance, yeah. Also this dangly tag.
I couldnt find much on that last name
Hence why it's a big question mark, since the assumption there is that the manor is, like convention, named after the family last name (for example, Baskerville Hall of the Baskerville family in Sherlock Holmes).
I guess? Feels a bit weird, then you'd also, by extension, do the same with Bai Mo.
白 last name (i.e. Bai Group), 墨 given name.
oh true
forgot that he has a full name
it does seem like that xing is at least a known last name, if not the most common
Do we know anything about the familly of the DMR brothers? The devs never shown the DMR brother's last name?
Not to my knowledge.
sad
insanely flat
As it should be
Celestia Asterried
Or Starsong
Although I've never seen the name Starsong in any of the lore materials
Starsong is a localization of a name used to refer to a mansion that Celestia's extended family apparently owned. Wouldn't blame you for not seeing it - it's from one of those CN-exclusive in-game events that had a bunch of text as fluff.
Honestly looking at the JP translation of her name I believe what I mentioned above should be right since the JP name translates to Hiroshie (星) Rei (绘). Astierried was more the initial name they wanted to name her for global release
Biologist that works at a wildlife reserve
Bai Mo

Kokona refers to her by Asterried before she reveals that the two are friends, then she switches to using her name
Reading season 4 story, does it have Eden effectively as an abandoned city right next to Preton? That's really jarring. ||Also that poses a problem for my writing I now need to solve. ||
My though is mostly Why is it just sitting there abandoned next to civilization? No one is seemingly interested in rebuilding it or utilizing the existing infrastructure? Did the Reverse String Storms stop?
well my guess is it's similar to like some villages and towns in my country. the government won't let anyone rebuild because they still think it's too dangerous (literally on or next to active volcanoes) and no one is allowed to return
that or it's just like detroit/other abandoned or destroyed city. no one returned because nothing was left to return to
From my reading of the story it sounded like reverstring stroms were still an ongoing thing.
That’s my understanding as well. Quote,
Eighteen years ago, a huge reverstring storm destroyed everything that existed there. The reverstring turbulence that covered the sky still remains to this day, turning that space into an unstable, chaotic ruin.
hmm, might still be able to work with this without needing to overhaul the fic. Also just tempted to say "please excuse the innacuracy. Too much was planned out before I learned this part of the lore."
oh yeah. sry for the character idea i wanted to give you. still can't work on it
haven't had time anyway on account of tryna catch up on lore
and now gonna be busy with the Manhwa
Makes sense now that we got bai mo story a bit ago
bro said “give me money scissors”
“My employee was totally just walking by 👍 “
And what is the gap in the sky on the map of the base S12? Is it the remains of the Space Bridge or is it after the explosion of the base?
Same bruh
I wrote my series before reading ss4 story
Tbh I just let Preton get destroyed, but due to an explosion
Like how the hell do you fuck up a city/region from a lab accident other than that?
And also orphaned Eika in the process
Yeah in my case once I started incorporating Eden into one of the MC's backstory's my thought process soon found ways to make it central to the larger story and I just had assumed it had only been mentioned in passing.
Preton was nuked when Opal destroyed human corridor 18-16y ago to stop further migration and trap people in Strinova.
The nuke in S4 was Meredith most likely re-opening the gate.
But we'll never know, because S2-S4 story no longer is canon, and was replaced with outbreak storyline.
🥀
At this point, having fanon AUs and tying them together with a “Strinova is a multiple timeline shenanigans story” isn’t a half-bad idea.

Preton was not destroyed prior to the game; it was Eden
Also the explosion was due to another factor
Preton stands on Eden
I know
Eden was destroyed and was rebuilt as Preton
Although not in the same site; Eden is currently a wasteland
New Bethlehem planted something and it creates an explosion
Also the Human Corridor was destroyed by either Scissors or New Bethlehem
Opal is the 'World Government'
And from Michele's dialogues it does not seems to be that
Human corridor was destroyed by Opal, so they could cut themselves from Earth's goverment and become completely independent in their new world - Strinova.
They wanted to be gods in this new world.
If you read Ming or Lawine's side stories, you'd know that human have already migrated to Strinova prior to the game's events, with Lawine and George Lee being in the last shuttle
Also Earth have already been devastated beyond repair
yes. S4 confirms it was soon before Michele's birth, so 16-17y ago
exactly when "sunset" had place
tho Ming's story never mentions it, and it would take place when she was still around.
tho... there's a lot of small bits that contradict itself, especially since rewriting happened with Galatea
so
There's a mess
Unless PUS kidnapping kids from Preton and wiping their memories around that timeline is linked to whatever was happening
Technically the lore is a mess
Like how the hell was Michele born 16-17 years ago
And given that she has been in the police for some years
Years?
It's less than a year when you'll look at manhwa. She's a rookie. Her first use of gun in action was beginning of the game.
She joined academy probably at 15, and is now a junior investigator at 16
the real question: why are they using children for policing especially militarized policing?
Indoctrination
Interns are cheap
You can get away with paying the sla I mean interns very little and call it training
?
if you rule the world, child soldiers are not a crime ig.
We have interns as young as 16 where I work xD
i know you can enlist at 16 with like a written note but police?
no xD
technically there won't be fat or old people in strinova, as they oerder their bodies off amazo...Hermes xD
My first thought was that in Strinova’s situation, PUS is/has its only armed force. Mayhaps Opal/Prism decided that was good reason for a low enlistment age.
My second thought was that people could’ve found themselves needing to be responsible for a lot more from younger ages during Earth’s apocalyptic period and nobody saw fit to change that come Strinova. Sure, you don’t need to know how to operate a rifle at age 15 in the megacity between dimensions, but PUS Officer Bob Thursday was guarding his community with one at that age and it worked out for him.
At least for me, my headcanon falls on the latter. It would also fit in a lot with PUS's undertones of being what could potentially be a competitive authoritarian government and generally attempting to involve the more passionate "youths" in the effort.
See: CCP history (Cultural Revolution, Red Guard), the [REDACTED] Youth belonging to that one Austrian guy who we can't name.
I do definitely think there is likely some sort of state-sponsored pipeline into people getting governmental positions at one of the PUS bureaus, including the Security Bureau AKA Investigation teams.
Probably some folks who’d order or commission bodies that least look the part out of personal preferences.
(that or the nonzero chance that someone's fantasy is being that one UNIT of a man that is that one particular beefy John Wick assassin)
alt take: Eden is a megacity and Michele/Eika only went/saw the tail end of it that borders Preton (and the border with Preton itself may be new) while most of the city is like 20-30 miles out
this might be my best compromise so I can viably argue that the city gets cut off from any access by reverse string storms picking up frequency for long stretches of time and ultimately makes going to the heart of the city an expeditionary effort like traversing all of an abandoned/destitute Tokyo
Also think this should be hashed out properly if it hasn't already. It's somewhat been addressed by the matter of identity earlier but...
Point 1: is Ming tougher than others because she's simply a hot blooded chick with a ton of willpower or does she involve herself in some kind of discipline that keeps her that way? Obviously she's a superstring but even then she's supposed to stand out as the brute of them.
Point 2: If people still bleed when getting shot, then they have blood so they probably have a body that resembles humans within with muscle, tissue, organs, even if they can't starve, does working out do anything then? Can someone get stronger or do they simply pay for it or the facade of it?
- Ming's not just a Superstring, but also an orphan raised on the streets of Preton. So naturally she's more of a hard-ass.
- Besides the general rule of thumb I use of "assume X thing in Strinova works like the real world unless otherwise stated," I do believe there's in-universe proof that working out DOES translate to gains like it does in the real world. Fuchsia's dorm story has her, at one point, provide free labor for a moving company lifting their cargo for the purposes of getting stronger.
this could also go into the whole "they have to mimic life back on earth" and therefore strength could come psychologically by committing to the old discliplines
And that too.
||sweet, I can justify Axel in my writing again||
Please don't post suggestive/inapropriate content. We have minors here.
bruh someone wrote 18+ shit?
just suggestive captions on strinova manga panels.
oh that one
Suggestive is one way to put it
How the fuck did he escape the cages?
He's always there periodically terrorizing general
I’m American, so I knew how to operate a rifle at age 5.
You're quite the late bloomer then?
Do you perhaps have some kind of learning cognitive defect?
I know americans who could make their own guns by 2 months old
Yeah I was a little slow on the trigger ok 😔
Guys, are the Sunset day (when space corridor was destroyed) happened in one day with S12 base explode ?
I don't think any of Earth's diseases would transfer to Strinova. After all, there's only two major medical issues you'd worry about: Collapse Syndrome and the thingy that makes the Crystallines.
Actually there's more than 2
There's that one ailment that prevents people from getting reconstruction because of faulty genetics (the revive/body transfer)
Flavia's sister has this
Those generally fall under the issue of damaged String Sequence Nodes (Meredith has a form of that condition too).
to your other point you made I wish they had just finished her theme music
it's a pretty sick Drum n Bass sample but it's unfinished
what kind of research does meredith do?
On Bablo crystals and ways to return back to Earth
energy research it is
I don't think mv is a good place for lore

what are some organisations other than urbino PUS and scissors we got in the world of strinova
government, non government
anything
There’s the Hammer Gang in Preton, who used to be one of the main support lines for the town after the Sunset Disaster but nowadays care more about stopping people from coming into Preton.
There's also the named groups that are part of the Urbino Business Alliance - Grove Enterprises, Bai Group, Cherrus Tactical, Chetnik Arms Company, Citaro Biotech, and Winkler Consortium.
And, well, the obviously Urbino-affiliated and funded Astral Sanctuary.
are there explinations in chinese or in english on what they dable in? other than astral sanctuary
mostly grove entreprises, bai group and winkler consortium
Grove and Bai seemed to be in banking and finances, at least going off pre-retcon lore.
investment firm?
I do remember reading about baimo investing in his story
and audrey investing in astral sancuary
If memory serves, that was chapter 2 of the old story, which the latter half of took place in a Grove-owned bank.
So investments and banking are probably their main deal.
If you're also talking about antagonists, then it's New Bethlehem
do we have a logo for them
I remember reading the lore and not seeing any logo for them
@dull elk do you have a translation of the dorm content for Lawine? I just loaded Calabiyau and I'm sifting through your old posts and the sparknotes atm. Only see stuff for Kanami and Fuschia in the Sparknotes
Wiki character page for Lawine has the translated dorm content. Kanami and Fuchsia are the only ones in the sparknotes because their stuff hasn't been translated. https://strinova.org/wiki/Lawine
does this have the cutscene convos or just the text message and bio content?
cause that's all I saw but I'm also terrible at finding stuff
Text messages, bios, and dorm story.
I must be blind to the dorm story section
Oh I see
got it
Kept thinking it was just a table of contents for the text messages
As Rhynerd said, Grove seems like its in banking & finances. Bai Group is probably in that vein as well but also more of an investment firm(?), given Bai Mo's investments into various projects and running the Cloudburst Museum.
Chetnik Arms Company seemingly deals with the mercs/firearms given the name and their singular mention in Bai Mo's BiliBili story.
Winker Consortium's also seemingly an investment firm with more skew towards urban development given their appearance in Chapter 3 of Eika's BiliBili story.
The other two seem entirely up in the air given their only mention was having board presence in the beginning of Season 3.
BRUTAL
Kokona coldly announced, "Several violations will be punished together: a 20,000-word self criticism will be written and reported. The shooting range cleaning duty for 1 month, and the illegally registered game accounts will be banned."
Lol but context?
Michele did some unauthorized stuff and this is the punishment
This is from Michele’s Character Story on BiliBili.

We will have character story in game? WWW
she looks kinda homeless
oh no. the angst

my only weakness
NYOOOOOOOO
PLEASE BRO I NEED THISS, MY CIELLE KINDA HOMELESS
Hi, where can I watch/read lore of this game?
Strinova is quite light on lore, though there are some stories scattered in-game through various events and character dorm interactions. More story content also exists in the CN version of the game and external sources such as an official manhwa and the official Strinova BiliBili account; however, these stories are in Chinese only and have not b...
the season 4 story isnt translated so if you want to look for that youll have to go on bwiki
Thanks

Strinova: Season 4 Story - Solar Prominence This is a localization of Strinova’s Season 4 story. The overall story mostly follows the direct translation from the story as it appears in CN with some changes to wording made for clarity and story cohesion. or that
what was xinghuis job before she left pus
PUS medical researcher, most likely.
most likely? it wasnt mentioned?
Not explicitly, but that's my best guess from reading the Celestia dorm bios.
now that makes me wonder who she worked under, was it nobu or flavia?, or was she from a totally different department like leona
Probably none of them. Nobu's an Investigator, Flavia's part of the Compound Eye (Surveillance turned Internal Affairs), and Leona's part of their engineering degree. Don't think we know who's head of medical research in PUS.
She has some connections with kokona thats all I know
guess we'll have to wait and see
Maybe from Institute? Kokona before PUS was studied in Medical)
Guys, are creatures created by Yugiri's power have their own mind?
... won't Celestia's mother be the head of Medical research?
Kokona only made a medic certificate when she was working on her drone, she's technically an engineer with robotics/androids specialization who's instructor for new recruits at PUS.
Kokona is senior investigator and combat medic
read-her-dorm-story
read-the-season-1-4-story
read-the-manhwa
probably had some connection with Yvette; maybe in the same department
however this does not guarantee that (1) both of them worked under the same boss
and even worse (2) would not even be in the same team
PUS have like 3 announced branches
research, intelligence and investigate/combat
also combat medic is a gameplay role; not explicitly stated in the game's lore
unless in the manhwa, which I didn't read
also I believe it should be called manhua
I can't send photo in this channel, but wiki in part officiall introduction are written Easy-going, gentle, and fun, Kokona is PUS' combat medic.
Like I said some weeks before, the official lore materials are flawed
I mean how the hell do you wield a sniper riffle and also be a combat medic
Drones)
is kokona really a combat medic if the drones do all the healing
it depends on PUS' definitions of a combat medic
And another question, how she created a bird, if she don't see any at her whole life?
there is an archive of the old world in PUS
and since she's in Compound Eye, it's no surprise that she saw footages from Earth
But this archive is only for researchers, troops of the Compound Eye don't need to see footages from Old Earth
should not does not means can not
outside PUS members there's Maddelena who have seen this from Yvette
so the amount of people who knew much about the old Earth is much larger than you'd think
Yes, but PUS tries to hide all information about old Earth, to don't motivate people go home)
they show videos of old earth like the one in madde's story
not a hard rule. i don't think there was any explicit mention of that
time to sleep
they're soft censored I think
see the beginning of ss4 story
This video was showed by Yvette, to give the Artist Understanding what needs to be drawn
So I finished reading Season 4 story yesterday and I'd like to ask a spoiler-ridden question. So please do not look at below if you're planning to read the season stories yet.
||What other alternatives besides Preton being wiped off the map do you think could have resulted from the incoming calamity? Was anyone positioned to potentially stop it?||
Anyway, back to working on getting the Manhwa in a readable format for everyone while simultaneously reading it
Technically nothing
And Preton is yet to be wiped off
spoilers bruh
||At least to me (and potential lack of imagination), the lab and potentially Preton getting wiped off the map followed by intense Reverstring storms seems like the only logical idea. Mainly from the fact that the story itself seems to double down on the notion of it being a second Collapse (with Eika's dad specifically calling out its eerie similarity to the Sunset Disaster, which he likely say firsthand).||
||I'm going to postulate that the Navigator's whole "Ideal Future" or whatever the exact word was (and the whole vision with Celestia and the bracelet) was going to intervene somehow||
Actually, There are animals in strinover

Yvette sometimes works at some
If memory serves, most if not all of those animals are held in special research facilities as mankind hasn't quite found a way to transfer non-human life into Strinova but seems to have just enough of a connection with Earth to keep trying.
Most other animals are robotic simulacrums of their Earth counterparts. Not sure if they'd count as electric or not for those remembering that detail about Bladerunner and the story that inspired it.
The bracelet can not change something that has already happened
It's just too late
starts the sixteen or seventeen day timer for story THINGS
We don't know for sure. We're waiting on drip-fed info from the upcoming event to find out. (but if I had to guess, Bai Mo's more likely)
She loves money, Celestia does not have money
high chance it's baimo
Given the new launcher image is canonical, would you think that animals are now habitable in Strinova?
hidden in fuchsia's lore, yes but not all
(that dog's most likely an animatronic in the likeness of a dog)
Bulb's Story Extractor Delivery Service is here to provide you all with 4 walls of text. Have fun.
Also, while I think I spotted them all, just make sure to tell me if there's loose "/" or "/n" in the texts. I had to manually remove them and there was quite alot of text to cover.

Interesting story
Where does one read the lore
I smell lore
The short answer: A whole bunch of pages. Most of it originates in CN and has been fan-translated because IDS refuse to localize it themselves. See the Strinova wiki for translated dorm bios and BiliBili character stories for starters.
The long answer: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ASa7Q-CshHO-Y_Dr2Qk92RXn3AOjs71cLMX6O96joUQ/edit?usp=drivesdk
Lore Resources In case you want to read up stuff for yourself instead of taking other people’s word for it, here are all the relevant resources: Strinova Manhwa A 26-chapter comic that lays out a lot of foundational Strinova worldbuilding and tells a side story prominently featuring a good chunk...
@velvet jackal Hey, so remember when you mentioned that your original OC idea involved a backstory of being Audrey's bodyguard? Well... (Moments from Cielle Part 3 event spoilers) ||you got your wish on THAT front as well.||
||"I suppose I should thank my current employer—a family heir who prefers to remain unnamed: Audrey Grove...the 'terms' she offered weren't corporate negotiations at all. They were closer to philanthropic generosity."
"You'll assume a civilian identity in Elitron, establish a lawful and orderly lifestyle, and respond immediately whenever I summon you."||
||Ya sure you're not just an IDS dev in disguise?||
Guys, What does the Hermes company do?
Hermes is the reason why there are skins in-game
In-universe, they're basically a Superstring plastic surgeon company
And, so, why all equipment bears the Hermes label?
On port euler
(well, plastic surgeons in Strinova basically implies creation and control of Strinovan bodies. And given how it's closely tied to Bablo Crystals, it'd make sense why they have at least a major presence or even own Port Euler, the largest Bablo transport and trade port)
COUGH HAHAHAH
she really is my daughter
cielle x audrey
real
actually a viable strat in-game
cielle just hypertanks everyone
audrey shoot behind
Where is that from?
hardest screenshot in strinova
fr
Audrey still mentions the bank incident lol. So is it really all non-canon?
It is indeed canon
If you had to ask me to justify it, different Grove Bank incident.
If you had to askk me the realistic answer, IDS just didn't bother and shipped Dorm content as is.
They announced that they were going to bring in some AI dorm system some time ago
But the OG lore wasn't
rn it's pretty much just another scene where you can talk to ai version of that character
that's what they plan to pivot to in the future since "we aren't the best at writing lore"
character ai but in strinova? 😭
crazy
PUS is extracting a large amount of energy to stabilize livable areas in Strinova, and thus the Human Corridor was forced to close, making a return to Earth no longer feasible. Our goal is to return this energy to space and reopen the passage between Strinova and Earth.
This is a text from Meredith's story. Does it confirm that the PUS is to blame for the closing of the human corridor or is this just the doctor's assumption?
At least from The Scissors perspective, yes.
As to the absolute truth of the situation, there's perhaps more complexity than that given that we're talking about unreliable narrators here (either PUS who have a motive to cover up inconvenient aspects of the truth, or the Scissors who also have motives to de-emphasize parts they see as inconvenient or irrelevant to their agenda).
oh, and i cant find any information about the solstice incident, where did that name even come from?
CN Season 4 story.
so, theoretical, this can be Non-canon, like Kosmos tower explosion in Season 1, because New Bethlehem doesn't exist?
Not necessarily. The Komos Tower explosion in S1 is canon (they literally play that entire cutscene when you fire up the game for the very first time) - it's just that instead of it being explored as a NB plot, they just leave the exact cause hanging (implied to be Scissors but still uncertain) and explore the immediate effects of it (AKA Outbreak).
As for S4 story, the events themselves might be non-canon in terms of timing, but given that the Sunset Disaster happened eighteen years in the past, I'm presuming canonicity until we get explicit lore/story material saying otherwise.
But in Operation Restraint it was stated that the scissors blew up the Cosmos tower on the border of the preton and the true wilderness, and in the cutscene there was the explosion of the Elmond Cosmos tower
Yes, that's what the event text says. And the cutscene shows The Scissors planting the one bomb in the obvious place, with the others not seen. That and it also doesn't fit with The Scissors' modus operandi (both in S3 and in non-retconned territory - see Ming's Character Story and The Scissors side story).
To me, that isn't definitive proof that The Scissors are undoubtedly and solely responsible for blowing up Komos Tower and causing the Outbreak given the mismatch.
I also think that the event contained information for the public that was created by the PUS, so that people would consider the Scissors to be bad people.
Me random conspiracy be PUS upper management wanted to get rid of big scissor members and used Kokona, Michelle, and Yvette as sacrafices. Does not seem reasonably feasible to plant so many bombs in a tower unless it was an inside job.
so uhhh, how is game lore gonna be shipped in this game?
we only have the first cutscene and the what seemingly non changed lore for audrey
Unless something changes, how it's been done for the past year - dorms integrated unchanged into Global, Global itself only getting official stuff through text associated with events (mostly fluff/Outbreak, maybe a character's backstory), and perhaps a continuation of CN-only stuff on BiliBili.
so I suppose bombing story of galatea is actually canon to global?
Might as well be considering
And what artist would do an explosion best?
A world renowned artist that only the richest man in strinova can hire

lowkey I kinda want a co-op pve game like overwatch's blackwatch mode
where story can probably be retold if what we only got in the game is the opening cutscene
and probably no longer the exclusive stories in cn side
dear strinova if you read this please fix your match making so unfair my enemy is high rank and level my team is low rank and low level
Wrong chat to mald in
An artist who saw the beauty of the true wilderness, hm, not bad theory
any update on who recruited cielle?
On Wiki we have full ivent text, Audrey)
I assume that too based on the MV
I'd rather let the official info spoiling myself in-game =w=
which means 16 days to completely unlock her story if you do all dailies
Hey guys, maybe I missed something but is there any info about tattoos that Ming, Nobunaga and Reiichi have?
Ming and Nobunaga use gloves for their ability, looks like this is connection
Maybe Reiichi have eye implant for his abilities
So I finished reading over Kokona's dorm content yesterday and I have two questions:
-
Sea Bunny/Bunny Mark is both drones simultaneously like two eye/two halves a brain. Do I have that right?
-
What do people think is a viable short name for Bunny Mark (has it been mentionsd anywhere)? Only thing I feel kinda rolls off the tongue is just B or B-Mar but that's kind of a mess.
Do we have an archive of every loading screen quotes?
I think (2) should be Bunny
Or Robot
Probably Bai Mo.
Me
Honestly, probably Audrey
It may be tie between BaiMo and Audrey, depending on the assets they have invested in.
It's maybe a bit of reach, but Galatea probably has more money than the two. But spends it instead of investing.
I'd say Bai Mo
He's CEO of the Bai Mo group with his personality
That requires high leveraging power to the point that the board wouldn't have the ability to stop your decisions
Basically, That requires 51% of the total of the Bai Mo group
In our current world, That would make him a trillionaire
Remember, He is the only character in game that basically has a portable string sequence regenerator / body double
Kokona's revive is likely government subsidized
He's hella stacked to be able to bring his own spare bodies into a gunfight
Yeah.... the last novel confirmed he has no idea that investments were supposed to bring returns.
Research usually doesn't bring monetary gain, but other benefits
I have money on some, Which is basically a more stable debit account, Because of inflation and the fund's own investments, It's basically a stable fund
1m there will be 1m at any time of history even accounting for inflation or deflation

In baimo's case, for long time his decisions were not profitable at all. He was just spending money on a whim.
Only realizing that he's losing support of other houses made him change his ways.
Therefore I'd put him and Audrey post groove bank bombing on the same level.
They're now competing xD
Considering he's still CEO, He's still higher
Board is literally the boss of the CEO
Even when he was bleeding funds they still couldn't drop his ahh
Definitely the majority shareholder
lowkey the baimo character story was related to retconned lore in a way
in the old retconned story bai mo definitely already cares about making money because he straight up tells Celestia her organization isn’t profitable and he’s gonna stop funding them

the richest man of today vs the richest woman in history
I mean, audrey somehow able to procure an MG3/MG42 and remodel it
And a grenade launcher that fires napalm
How canon is lore from non-legendary skins
Definitely not the Campus Open Day ones.
Bai Mo so goated fr
This game has plot?
at one point, yes
Winkler Consortium - what is that?

At what point did the "hand that cradles" become scissors?
Shortly after Meredith's arrival
Yeah, considering how the “the Scissors” was an established name by the time Lawine and Meredith had to fake their deaths to PUS, it probably wasn’t too long a time between joining and renaming.
i introduced strinova to my friend and the first thing he asked
"why are the factions name the scissors and the PUS?"
i was gonna explain but turns out dude just dirty
Every character in Strinova is a "Super String Agent"?
All the playables are, except for crystallines.
Theres a bunch of npcs that appear and arent superstrings but those are npcs
Man, I hate when details like this in story content get messed up (Prequel Manhwa versus Season 2)
New Headcanon: The Navigator changed the timeline hoping he wouldn't have to compete with handsome charismatic trillionaire for Celestia's affection/s
cielle japanese voice lines has made me learn a new way to refer to one's self
I thought she was saying "earthy" but it was actually "asshi" which is a shortened form of "watashi" and is something that working men use to refer to themselves
yeah and ming is someone who is a tough girl that uses tough guy speaking. she refers to herself using "ore"
makes sense since she did grew up beating gangsters
the cielle lore is so nice
and my sanity too
The possibility could be manga did happen and then everyone got memory wiped and navigator story comes in with us as celestia's assistant
In the realm of possibilities
1st timeline manga 2nd timeline bilibili/original new bethlehem story 3rd timeline crystallines
Whos to say urbino found a new travel method alt instead they made time leaping possible uwu;
Is 100 years memory wipe Canon now? Or only for manga?
Pretty sure it's still canon
Ayo they got Made in Heaven-ed?
has it been discussed about if the ocean is full of erosion materials why do Superstrings still go to the beach? Or is this just a "we can tolerate it for a bit" situation and IDS be damned if they don't sell beach skins.
More the latter (there's a CN-exclusive video that has a lore tidbit that says Superstrings set sleepy if they stay inside too long). Probably because low relative concentration of Erosion substances.
In her story, Cielle got into String Energy Tide, but what is it?
tempted af to split hairs and wonder if Erosion is so un-dense in seawater so as to not block stringification immediately (if you recall why) buuut I won't
Oh so I finished the manhwa earlier and am a bit confused by the rankings in PUS now. This isn't really spoiler stuff so I'm not going to spoiler tag it.
Presumably Both Michele and Kokona are in Blue Parasol to which Nobu is obviously the leader of.
BUT Kokona is part of the Special Investigation Team which makes her... higher rank than Nobu as it says in the Manhwa.
So... Is Kokona both a higher rank than Nobu but serves under him in Blue Parasol or did she simply pass the test but not join the Elite Team?
idk she probably just likes being lead by someone / doesnt want to deal with the elite missions and stuff
Manhwa is no longer canon. (Same with s2-4 story)
She would be part of Flavia’s squad now if they followed that route.
But she got demoted to Nobunaga's deputy.
yeah, I'm asking specifically in the context of the OG Lore. Writing plans involving them.
Chiyo got a job as an investigator at the PUS, but why was she accepted by Flavia? Because Flavia works at the Compound Eye, and the Bureau of Guardians is not her area
Flavia -> Nobu -> Kokona
Although you could say Nobu and Flavia are in the same rank
Flavia is in the Compound Eye, which is not directly related to SIT/BP, but somehow reigns over it
Compound eye control investigators? But in Michele story after she ask Yugiri to help, Kokona says, that Intelligence people are expensive
Yugiri is the new timeline since Rafa is who she was in the OG Lore so a bit of a detachment there
At least Michele was shanghai'd into working under Flavia during the events of the seasonal stories (either s2 or s3) when Flavia encountered her in Neutroville while hunting NB
But she's considered an intelligence officer, right? If it were any other agent from the Compound Eye, I think Kokona would say the same thing
Michelle was forced to work, and then Flavia wrote a report for the top brass.
Yeah, that's what Shanghai'd means
Also my brain might've tripped over intelligence and assumed it was investigation so I rescind that argument
Do Strinova grants immortality for those who do not contact the Collapse syndrome?
I mean, if they don't get some kind of weird diseases or some illness can human live forever in Strinova?
If your question is whether people can contract diseases in Strinova similar to real life, I'd think no. It's also presumed that people don't die in Strinova for the normal reasons - they don't age (not eternal youth, but they don't experience the physical degradation associated with aging), physical damage heals on its own, and Reconstruction exists.
Strinova was meant to be and advertised as a utopia by PUS, and Collapse Syndrome is effectively the death standin.
There was a moment in Flavia's story where the former leader of the Compound Eye smoked Bablo crystals, and it was said that it was impossible to absorb energy in this way. Is it possible that in order to live in Strinova, one must absorb Bablo energy?
that sounds like the equivalent of lighting one's cigar with a flaming $100 bill
If I remember the story right, that’s basically what that trend is.
Yes, you right)
Kind of a sporadic thought, but as much as I'd think I'd be use to writing in a series where it flips back and forth between different factions being the good guys and the villains, the Manhwa REALLY paints The Scissors in a nefarious light almost to the degree that Zeon comes off in Universal Century Gundam when they drop colonies on Earth. If the Manhwa was my only exposure to Ming as a character, I'd probably hate her.
Understandably the Manhwa is basically telling us the story from Michele's perspective so there's that to factor into it
Flavia is deputy of ministry of safety.
She's waaaaay higher in rank than Nobu.
She runs Compound Eye. The invigilation unit that everyone doing shady business (especially Prism) is not happy about. But because of her high status, they can't lay a finger on her, as it risks exposure.
She trying to rotate big PUS ship
However, the main purpose of the compound eye is reconnaissance, and everything Flavia is looking for against the shadow businesses of the PUS is her own initiative.
Revenge for murder of her sister
More like crushing uranium to use as crack
Now we know for sure (event spoiler), ||Maddalena and Galatea are sisters, which means that Galatea is definitely not from the Chiyo clan||
This was real speculation?
Well, it wasn't just speculation; ||Maddalena's story mentioned that they shared the same last name, but it seemed like they weren't related. However, the event confirmed their connection.||
This lore is so old it was part of the old lore
They were always sisters. Maddalena straight calls her sister in her dorm. They have shared history.
There was never connection between chiyo and galatea.
In old lore Galatea was still Maddy's sister, but she was a part of 4th faction - New Bethlehem.
Don't read Maddalena dorm) so I don't know about this) the connection between Chiyo and Galatea is a theory from Chiyo story, before Chiyo there be only 1 person, who completed challeng, the artist
wait theres a maddelena and galatea dorm?
lowkey they have all the characters' dorms in CN but wont release them in global
I think you're confusing Flavia with Galatea.
Only Maddalena in CN
When was the last time the Ritual of Expulsion was held? Was it a few years ago, the “traitor” who secretly fled to Urbino to work as a painter, eventually lost the family name, and whose current whereabouts remain unknown?
I'm about this
No-name character. Maybe a hint for a new one someday.
Definitely not Galatea
Urbino houses majority of painters
Yes, another no-name character, like Lawine's friend from PUS
Oh lol i thought it couldve been chiyo being long distant relatives to baimo/ leary sisters lol xD too many painters
Oh boy, here we go again!

Question: The description of the legendary Ignis says that he came from the Sea of Strings, but it also shows that he came from space. Does this mean that the Sea of Strings is actually space, and therefore superstrings can float in a normal sea?
Both Lawine's friend and Ming's "sister" are PUS members after memory wipe.
Both girls are encountered in the story too.
What story? from CN?
Ming's character story and Lawine's dorm one (friendship lvl 5 if I recall)
we knew that for the longest time.
madde literally shit talks her sister when she kills her in glb iirc
lorewise, who do you think would be the perfect mother for your children?
I personally think it's Maddelena
not only she's beautiful, she's also a quite knowlegable person
and also rich
I think Chiyo, The way she takes care of Michelle and Kokona)
nobunaga, he would be the most responsible mother
Ming.
And I'm not joking. She raised all orphans of Preton all on her own.
...plus she comes with Lawine.
Two moms
This game has MMR right
Ye
in terms of proper upbringing that would ensure the lowest likelihood of needing therapy or what not it's probably Leona or Audrey (especially if Audrey recaptures a lot of who she was before her recent bout of Collapse Syndrome in the og lore). Leona is effectively the closest character to a Soccer Mom
ah fuck. i still havent recovered grom that kokona wife guy
if i had the time, maybe we can do a tierlist. I'd rate koko, mich, eika, ming a b-a. celes, chiyo a-s, mere, lawiwi, leona, and audrey is a c-b. gala is a fucking f as much as i like her. honestly its actually easier to list why they shouldnt be motherw except b-s tier.
we need some jobless git to make the tierlist
Is the Navigator actually a broke ass person, or is he delivering for Eika's restaurant because he likes it?
Also if the promotional materials for IRL events (e.g. LNY) are canon, does that mean Strinova is now on the second continuity?
He works for Celestia at the Astral Sanctuary so at the very least he has a Nurse's income so that depends on his frugality or lack thereof at that point
Another thought:
With the proliferation of reconstruction, one issue with writing in Strinova is that the moment an operation goes south and there's no package/object of interest to protect, there's seemingly no reason the losing side wouldn't all just shoot themselves to respawn elsewhere. Especially if sticking around could lead to worse outcomes (being taken as prisoner, memory wipe, etc)
Really depends in my mind. But some things I might think off the top of my head are:
- Equipment loss.
- Probable Collapse Syndrome accelerant, particularly if you go with the Scissors theory of why Collapse Syndrome is a thing (logical extension being that the more you do stuff that isn't normal like committing seppuku, Collapse Syndrome occurs faster)
- The actual cost of Reconstruction - time, money, health, etc. It's costly enough that people do do it willy-nilly like Guardians in Destiny 2.
lamom

for the tierlist. we need someone with free time and boredome to do it
but seriously, which one you prefer
Three Knights or Three Riders
