In game files she's 17, but in the lore there's stated multiple times that she's older than Celestia (who's 18 in the files)

I had a theory that character's age is the last point when they (and their human body) stopped getting old. And some character's age could be even 100+ years in Strinova, especially with successfully memory resets etc.
Especially Kokona, Lawine and... Maybe Reiichi and Nobunaga (but I'm not sure, because we still have 0 info about them).

(It's just a silly theory, don't take it serious. I just wanted to share some my old thoughts.)

apparently the migration from Earth to Strinova dimension was not a quick process. So some of them were not initial immigrants.

and honestly it's not really indicated that Earth's life is completely obliterated, it's just hard to live in for modern human anymore

The skins we have in game themselves are spare bodies that the characters switch to

They are also fully conscious in the state of reconstruction

And to be honest, That old theory is in line with what's already known

Strinovians have tech that allows them to basically make "save states" of someone biological make-up
Some people are incompatible with the technology due to some genetic factor
(The reason why Flavia's sister couldn't be reconstructed)

And another old theory of mine where the strinovians evolved into a more "information" based life form is somewhat supported by that

Just think of it as something like Strinovians actually being like memory drives and the bodies more like top of the line custom made spec'd out pcs made specifically for those memory drives

Now that I think of it, the potential for story progression is there. Because if this is what happens, then it both serves to bring The Scissors into helping with dealing with the Outbreak Crisis and simultaneously provides fuel for the existing PUS-Scissors conflict.

On Scissors vs. Crystalline - Well, the attack on Base S12 shows that Crystalline do not discriminate who they attack. And given that Base S12 is one of the core operating bases for The Scissors, this will 100% bring them into fighting Crystalline head-on. It's a better motivator than the happenstance of "Scissors have big presence in Preton, and Loch District was attacked."

On the PUS vs. Scissors front, if what PUS did to Base S12 turns out to be a major contributing factor to the Crystalline incursion (which to me seems incredibly plausible), then that's more reason for Scissors to not like PUS, particularly for Meredith. The chain of events of "you sacrificed your own soldiers to blow up my research, wiped my memory to try and cover it up, and also brought zombies to my doorstep" ain't gonna do much to smooth over relations.

In theory the superstring should be fine as they can bend themselves to go around corners but there might be some limits.

On the subject of reconstruction paying, I imagine stuff like the basic printed bodies are probably not charged for the process, akin to a public healthcare deal. Getting a custom made body with some extra details or made by a specific Artist (like Galatea), that’s probably by commission if not special order from the printers and thus would have a price tied to it.

At the very least I can imagine a system being set up for that to avoid making some people’s once-presumed eternities on Strinova a living hell cycle of deaths and debts.

• Manhwa: Ming infiltrated a PUS training program in disguise and befriends Michele while undercover, only to do a rug pull (injuring Maddelena and Kokona in the process)
• S4 Story: Michele befriends Eika, only for the two to realize after an incident that they are on opposite sides of the ongoing conflict. An ideological argument breaks out and the two sever their friendship. Ming proceeds to settle the score by beating Michele in a boxing duel and tells Michele to apologize to Eika, which Michele proceeds to not do.

tl:dr

When Michele and Freya (undercover Ming) first meet, they form a genuine, innocent friendship. Michele is a young, earnest P.U.S. investigator.
"Freya" is quiet, seemingly unaffiliated, gentle ... but Michele doesn't know that she's a Scissors operative placed there under an alias.

The two ended in the same dorm rom, their first night together is a sweet scene: they talk about family, Collapse Syndrome, and the fear of the Reincarnation Project. Michele opens up about her father’s illness, "Freya" comforts her, showing empathy and care.

Even though their ideologies differ (Michele trusts the system, Freya fears it), they bond close during the training arc. That night sets the foundation for what Michele believes is a sincere connection. "Freya" is her first friend she ever had.

The turning point comes when “Freya” reveals her true identity as Ming.
The entire friendship was part of Ming’s infiltration mission.
Her “Collapse Syndrome” symptoms were faked, her kindness was a disguise, to fina a way to gain access to P.U.S. data.
It devastated Michele. She was used. She's angy at Ming.

From Ming’s point of view, however, it’s more complex:
She did not hate Michele personally, but she despises what Michele represents - the obedient “dog” of a government, which she believes is corrupt.

Ming sees P.U.S. as the root of Strinova’s suffering.
She despises P.U.S. because she grew up witnessing how its rule brought suffering, corruption, and neglect to the poor. As a child, she saw friends taken away by PUS. and never return. The organization abandoned places like Preton, leaving decent people like the local sheriff completely powerless under a rotten system controlled by greedy leaders. To Ming, P.U.S. symbolizes hypocrisy. They claim to protect people while exploiting them or forgetting overall. Her hatred isn’t for individuals, but for the system itself.

Ming spoke really cool like in the manhwa

"Duty and friendship are two different things."

Basically, she still sees Michele as friend, but because they stand on opposite sides, they will never walk the same path.

I’d blame two main factors for the lack of lore:

1: The community.
The CN community disliked parts of the original story, so it was removed and replaced with the alien plot - which they found acceptable. Meanwhile, the global community dislikes the alien storyline but preferred the previous one involving NB.
In the end, you can’t please everyone, so most of the story was scrapped, leaving only the basic elements that drive the characters.

2: Resources, money, and time.
IDS is a small studio ... and now even smaller. The quality of cinematics has dropped because they lack the staff and funding for proper animators. Implementing new characters also takes longer.
Naturally, they’ve had to focus on gameplay, skins and adding new modes, which require fewer resources and less time than developing story-driven events or plot content ... something the game mostly lacks outside of its opening since day 1 of global release.
We only got Operation Restraint as second lore point, and even that is dead, as nothing really new came out since then.
I have hopes for Lilith and changes in approach to the story with her release.

Yeah the map of the city where the dorms are is confusing and overly simplistic. For a basic exampe, I envision Preton as a separate city from say Neutroville either on a different spot on a continent or on a different manifested plane of Strinova's space (sort of like a bunch of floating lands in what could otherwise be described as the digital void).

The cities themselves would all have to be megacities if all of humanity was brought over though (unless there was some like 90% depopulation rate from the state Earth was in before migration but that doesn't seem to be detailed from what I've read outside of Lawine's parents dying from the Cold Snap). Except smaller resort locales like Windy City.
