Meredith, Fragrans (I'm not counting Lawine, Reiichi and Mara, as they had more personal reason for leaving PUS) were betrayed, used and hunted down by PUS.
The rest of the ex-investigation teams/military units uncovered more of the shady stuff, no longer wanting to associate with PUS.

I kinda like the current investigation team, [most] of them seem to be fully aware of PUS wrongdoings, with only the young recruits being tested to see where their morality aligns.

Kokona in manhwa and kokona in game belong to different departments...
...unless in game her being instructor is a cover like her being a recruit in the comics, where Mich notes that her rank is higher than Nobu's

Tbf the question is not really about how well it works. It's more about the theme. I figured by Strinova time, the likes of Mosin would be harder to procure and it would be easier for a faction led by ex-PUS to obtain PUS weapons or even Scissors' weapons due to the sheer availability comparing the mentioned gears. Black Market channels, smuggling, stealing, etc.

But then again it is more of a thematic thing than practical issue. If we went all practical, all sides would suffer logistic hell regarding ammunition alone

Why would it be hard to procure? They have the ability to remake bodies from scratch, implant memories into them, with enough stabilization that there isn't any conflict between body and memory

If they can just.... make it, then it means they can also just opt for the more advanced design. But you are right, they can just slap in modular customization. Then the whole thing comes down to taste and style.

But I suspect it is not that simple. If they can just pop something out that easily then logistics and resource wars wouldn't be a thing.

Strinova is not a fully digitized dimension. They incorporated digital elements into concrete existence, but it's more like an add-on. Details could be handwaved through scifi explanation. But all in all, I think weapons are not easily created as in "just make it". They make advanced manufacturing, but not "just make it". And for a gang-like faction I dont think they can execute large scale firearm manufacturing

So yeah, I think they actually have to procure weapons through purchasing or looting

Oh, one thing I noticed. From weapon description, it seems there are famous weapon manufacturers, and they treat weapons as both lethal firearms and fashion trends. Quadrant Foundry for Scissors, Artisans Corridor for Urbino and Polaris Lab for PUS

Closest I've probably touched on it in my fanon attempts is one PUS agent running an over-under double barrel shotgun that's not in production (handwaved away by it being something he used in Old Earth and getting it transferred to Strinova), and what is essentially a homegrown weapons foundry run by two elite PUS agents and one Urbino veteran (explained by it being a super small-scale thing focused on what is basically specialized craftsman weapons).

If you wanted to lean into the ghost gun thing for more realism, you'd probably be going for the more common weapons platforms to disguise yourself and for ease of repair. So AR-15 pattern platforms (would betterblend in with the Inspector-pattern rifles PUS manufactures en masse), AK-pattern rifles (The Scissors use the Rebelflame as their main weapons platform), Glocks, the like.

Real, since the majority of PUS forces use NATO systems, using Russian Empire and Soviet's oldest systems is not really a good choice

Even NATO systems on Scissors side are usually the "extraordinary" and "edgy" ones in hollywood tropes, XM8, AUG and AA-12, as for AK and SVD they are Eastern, clearly fit for an OPFOR and revolutionary faction

At least the stab I rook differentiating a revolver from the Athena is this. More forgiving body-shot damage for much slower RoF and giving the thing actual sights.

Primarily reason is yeah, they’re primarily focused on business as opposed to the ideological conflict between PUS and The Scissors. That and their own self-interests of (allegedly) inter dimensional travel research and other interests means that they are potentially at odds with either depending on the circumstance.

Potentially. What story has been done in-game has generally shown the PUS-Urbino partnership more with both aligned in interests of public security.

Basically, there's a phenomenon called Collapse Syndrome that occurs in place of traditional death within Strinova - a condition that eventually results in individuals going berserk. The current workaround to this issue is to memory-wipe people.

The obvious problem with memory wipes is that, well, you forget your personality and memories, and that's where Navigators come in - for those who want to preserve themselves after a memory reset, a Navigator can help them with recording individual information (personality, memories, etc) to help them "rebuild" after going through said reset.

use AI to log what they send, if the image content seems like the exact same images, image count, etc. it'll be flagged, then either sends a message to a private channel alerting suspicious mass-scam style activity (like a 1-click ban) or just jump to issuing an automatic ban

(dunno how balanced it would be given how I suck at the game myself and have only watched high-rank Demo matches, but I did have an idea. Granted, it's basically a sniper duelist that, at least in my mind, just leans harder into being all about hitting shots)

It's essentially a character with very little team utility besides some potentially very risky stealth plays and a sniper rifle with lower mag size but faster reloads and slightly better body-shot damage.

Update - the ones with any relevant flavor text have been done. Writing quality is...highly inconsistent.

If the event flavor text is to be believed, the small lore tidbit takeaways are:

• Nobunanga's main personality is serious (as expected)
• The entire PUS-Scissors conflict, at least at one point, was unserious enough for there to be basically a WWI Christmas Truce-style thing going on, but instead in the form of an Urbino-mediated summer event. Or a whole bunch of other things where PUS and Scissors members end up in the same groups.
• Celestia apparently has a last name - Starsong.
• Celestia's family and extended family are wealthy - mostly businesspeople and enough to own at least TWO manors.
• Celestia's dad is apparently a very philanthropic businessman, now retired.
• Celestia's mom, in addition to being a PUS executive, apparently is still on good terms with Celestia, enough that she put the initial investment in Astral Sanctuary (seems potentially contradictory with her dorm bios?)
• The rest of Celestia's extended family see Celestia and her parents as outcasts.
• Fuchsia was potentially a bodyguard for the Starsong family in the past?
• luhmao Eika works part-time jobs literally everywhere - as if school, restaurant delivery work, and being Batman in Preton wasn't enough
• There's a whole, barely explored era of Strinovan history pre-modernization and Scissors conflict that reads somewhat akin to almost a Wild West-like world.

That was absolutely not worth the time I dumped into this.
