So yeah what is the “reverse string” and the “big collapse”? Ming also mentioned about the “collapse syndrome” which I am assuming is the prelude effects of the “big collapse”. Both the Scissors and the PUS have a common goal in curing the collapse syndrome but I wish to know more about their feud. If they have a common goal, why are they fighting each other and for the crystal? I also noticed Michele talking about the syndrome where its effects include memory wipe or something like that as what she had quoted about her father: “If we find the cure, maybe he’ll remember me” or something similar to that.
And to add, Lawine mentions in Ep.1 about the patients experiencing this syndrome to have undergone “memory wipes” so does this syndrome primarily and gradually affects the brain or something?
And Fay mentions something about curing the syndrome by achieving 100% purity in finding the correct sequences of the “strings” through the high purity crystal which is theoretically possible. Because this certain syndrome causes a collapse in the “strings” in which explained by Kokona and Fay and that my monkey brain could barely understand every single shii that they say.

I mean they’re a reconstruction (stringified both mind and body) of the original human body and they’re not papers— they’re composed of “strings” but it’s not actually stated what kind of material are these “strings” are and I am assuming that they’re more like biomolecules of another world (the dimension of Strinova) some sort like our DNA but alien in nature. And to answer the question, yes they probably could drink water/eat foods and stuff similar to us humans using their mouth
But I doubt that they even needed it since they can live forever (found this on Reddit) and the only thing that would mean death to them is not hunger, thirst, or malnutrition, but to contract the collapse syndrome which happens if a person’s memory gets past their brain capacity.

As far as my understanding goes (I may be wrong though):
The wall in Windy Town with the grafitti "past, present, and future" points to PUS and its goals which represents hope to purify and crystallize the maintenance of the world, a kind of future innovation, while the "past", the scissors which could imply a desire to return to earlier times shown by Lawine's goals in retrieving the Crystal so that they could go back to earth. But this could mean another thing as well:
Going back to EP 1 in the chronicles, Kokona and Yvette mentioning about quantum mechanics and sci-fi hyperborean bu11 scheisse which if I am going to translate it in an Unga Bunga way:
