thanks, yeah your account is all good and not banned. Im not sure why this is happening. Maybe try repairing the game files in steam by right clicking on the game in the steam library > properties > installed files > verify integrity of files , if that doesnt work maybe do a fresh install and a classic turn the pc on and off again before opening and trying again

ive done both of those things unfortunately :(

is it possible your computer's firewall is causing problems with the game? that has sometimes happened to others

#

you could try disabling it temporarily to see if that changes anything

rose nimbus
#

could it be because my steam is in compatibility mode?

Hello, i am also having a similar issue. However, i can join random lobbies, but every time i try to join my friend's lobby it says session error

#

ive tried disabling the firewall, running as admin, running with -dx11 or -dx12, and some other minor fixes and nothing seems to work

From what I've been analyzing, it's not a client error but rather a netcode issue; apparently, the ping affects the stability not only of the server you join but also of YOUR linked account. In my case, it's the Steam account, and it's not a random error; it's much more frequent due to the ping type of some lobbies (ping between 250 and 350 ms causes more session errors), In some cases, this netcode problem has caused the game to freeze, crash, or even close due to an internal error.

#

And despite trying to resolve it locally as mentioned by @sand pecan

#

It seems there is no practical solution from the community at the moment.

that would make sense, i had a suspicion it might be a network issue
