Our group has had multiple instances of public lobbies being crashed by hackers and giving this error message, usually right after the game floor goes black (pics included). On last instance, it also corrupted many of my game files and I couldn't join lobbies without it returning me to solo every time, and I had to verify the integrity to restore them. We also had an additional instance of someone joining a pre-game lobby and it turning a streaked brown screen with a grating sound before crashing. I only iterate the group in this because the same thing happened to all of us each time, regardless of who was hosting.
#Hackers Force Crashing Lobbies

This was the clip Steam recorded directly before I got the error screen that corrupted my game, you can see some of the streaking brown and hear some of the grating here too although this is different from the other instance that was worse
Previously, the most dangerous cheat was the one where you could mute the sound for players, but now it's a new level. Although, if the cheaters were hosts, this is not surprising, they can do a lot of terrible things, it is very difficult, if at all possible, to do this for the client
For about two weeks now, I've had people joining my lobbies and doing this. Once they send you into the void, your game will crash soon after so you have to act fast if you want to ban them.
Strangely, in the 0.3.2 version of the game on the old version of the engine, this was really a problem, if you did that, the game would completely freeze and the problem would be solved by logging into the game. After updating the engine, it got better, when they did that, I just flew in space, maybe because I have a powerful computer, but now it's some kind of advanced cheats and it's not good for a game that doesn't have an anti-cheat
To be clear this was all happening to our hosted games by joining players, the culprit of last night has already been named elsewhere and is one of the people listed on the right side of my video...
The cheat, as far as I am aware, is just a simple aimbot and increased knockback. Once you get hit, your velocity goes so high the walls become unable to stop you, and you get flung into the void. Eventually the void will glitch out the player (not sure how), to a degree where play becomes nearly impossible. How bad it breaks varies, but ranges from a simple restart, to full re-installation.
I don't know if the meaning is broken because of the translator I use, but it doesn't seem quite right. Each item has knocking values (yes, it's true, when you get hit, you get knocked back), cheaters can hit from a distance, which means they can increase the drop values, but to kick a player, you need a huge value, more than a billion, don't even ask how I know
What part of it seemed to have lost meaning? Also, what do you mean by drop value?
As for needing an insanely high value, while I do agree, cheats could achieve up to the byte limit easily;
not to mention it being a potential multiplier/power increment.
Apparently, my translator finally broke the meaning of the text xD
What does it translate to?
I use a text translator
Yes, but if meaning is lost, how are you interpreting it? What are you reading, so that I may write more clearly.
I don't understand the meaning of the argument, I just said that the translator could incorrectly translate the meaning of the text, this does not mean that you are writing incomprehensibly xD
Ah. There was no argument, just tried to explain what was likely occurring.
The crash is caused by going out of bounds of the unreal engine environment. You fall so far out of the map your game crashes. That is the best explanation i can give you.
