#Thoughts on the rebuild and the future.

So I mentioned it before but I think of support could be a good concept to work on. Specifically I think a creation kit centered around map creation would be best. when it comes to making the game feel fresh, the maps are where that point will live and die
I agree, I hope that once they finish a strong rebuild, that they prioritize giving the community tools to help the game. Could be mods, troubleshooting bugs, to provide suggestion concepts and so much more.
Yeah someone mentioned that it could create more of a bug issue which is true, making a strong foundation of code to stand on is important which is why I’m not mad at the recent dev update. Even if it takes adding friends to the team, at least it will push that forward
Outside of mod support I feel like the range of melee weapons can be expanded on. Currently melee is divided into three categories
FISH - 1 HARD hit
GENERAL - 5+ hits
KNIFE - 2 hit
I think adding weapons in-between this would be huge for the tittle
Yeah I don't blame you, having the strong foundation is probably the most valuable thing in creating a game. Which is why I hope to see it developed with someone experienced. Then seeing newer devs test the waters trying to tackle smaller parts of the game
agree. building a great base start is key before anything else. my concern is not doing this may cause huge issues with the devs themselves. if they put all the hope for the game on modders i feel it may take away from them wanting to keep the game updated or add features.
Additionally I like the idea of working on this because this would be an easier project for a small team to work on because it requires minimal work generally speaking
With this in place it would also do away with the controversial weapon cases that often have nothing inside. With a wider range of melee weapons we can return to the random gun spawn strategy (with sometimes having none spawn) because the melee would be enough to help both employees and dissidents
definitely feel more weapons, items or tasks will gage players and keep them entertained. relying on players to do this i feel isnt going to be successful. maps a lot of work. however adding in a few new weapons, tasks or items isnt nearly as tough. codes already there and can be adjusted to implement such things far more easily than doing an entire map
Yeah I think with how their motto is. It would be really nice to see mods be a place for them to notice potential talent that's willing to help out the game.
now this i full heartedly agree with.
may bring in some people who notice flaws in the conscripts and code as well.
i mean look at dayz (sorry best example i have as i mod it myself) a huge amount of bugs in game have been fixed by the modders however gotta play devils advocate here bohemia still hasnt fixed them due to this. not to mention consoles are not easily mod capable meaning console would be out of the question and still rely on the base game and features.
dont know if this games even on console but speaking if it is or plans to be of course
think what ultimately made games like amongus and even roblox, dare i say, huge was integrating it onto console
I mean you can get controller support and you technically can play it on the switch (with modding the switch)
Oh yeah and you can play it on steam deck
Ngl lockdown on switch is so fun idk why
This is true, modding has always had its struggles, even simple things such as dev updates requiring all mods to update to newer versions etc. that being said I think we can all agree the pros outweigh the cons In these cases, especially in a game like Lethal Company.
best marketing strat and longevity choice imo is focusing on implementing this game onto console. they do this and game will get a ton of new players, A gaining money for the team and B giving them much more time to work on, fix and build the game. if anything i feel this before a creation kit will save the game 100%
True which if I had to guess goes hand in hand with ironing out the bugs and stuff before major release. Honestly I think the team is on the right track, my only worry is speed when it comes to the attention span of most consumers In this field (which ofc goes back to hiring more hands)
plus idk how difficult either of these options would be but feel a creation kit may be much more difficult lol. i mean game has controller support. unreal engine is easily able to be implemented onto consoles so (excuse the ignorance) dont think it'd be too difficult
I genuinely think the console market does amazingly with party games, human fall flat and gang beasts are one of my favorite examples. If the game is accessible and everything. It'll definitely bump up lobbies for sure
absolutely agree, what my biggest concern is as well.
I think we're having a pretty good conversation which makes me pretty happy. If you want me to bullet point any short statements on top, feel free to tell me
oh 100%. i mean think about it, how hard is it to grab your pc and place it on a 4k TV and play with friends lol. lot easier to do it on a cnsole
personally aint touched mine in ages but lot of friends play party games and this one would be awesome to see on all platforms
