Is it normal that my knife or screwdriver falls to the ground when i get hit by a bullet or a knife?

someone correct me if im wrong, but i believe you drop whatever you're holding if you
- are hit with a heavy item (delivery package, sushi fish, vent)
- your stamina reaches 0 when hit

Its basically only the second one
And certain items deal more damage and thus reach 0 stamina faster
