It is possible that you missclicked and you copied your url to your steam account instead of the lobby join link

No cause I am copying the link from the find a game section.

Try to paste it in the run panel after pressing win+r

Press windows button and r together on your bottom left corner on your keyboard
This will open up a window thats named run
Its pretty straightforward, there is an input box where you need to paste your invite link that you copied
