i saw some German titles, like "König" (King) and some others all starting with "der" (male "the") ... all i have seen yet are male titles, but i am female. Cause i can not find a full list of all German titles ... are there Queens and "die" ...? what about Frensh and Spanish? If we have to choose male titles, it would be better to not translate them ... in English the titles are not gender related (Except king/queen).
#are all German titles male? (+ French?)

Omg tax man is back
as always, you can't read. you can always just write rubbish as if there was a prize to be won for sending the most useless posts.
Says the guy typing an essay every 5 seconds that no one is reading
says the clown and does not read. to every post.
Ok i read it
Clearly devs were to lazy/didnt have proper translators for titles
And arent fixing it
We know that you are powerless to read and think. The main thing is that you can spread your meaningless gifs everywhere. like a plague. just press a few random keys, baddaboom, everywhere
it is not a dev thing. it is translation. and YOU are not a DEV to speak for them!
titles in german are still not "gender related". you should know that the "generisches maskulinum" is gender neutral. you are confusing biological and grammatical gender; translations are probably fine
bruh 💀
ye i agree with all that 👍 (to have better translation for things that is)
they clearly translated the game to 🇭🇺 with google can give them that
or the ppl who sumbitted and got the hu dance pad (that i dont have) used google, its a mess
they should hire proper ppl to translate the game or to correct mistakes
we all know thats not gonna happen
I confirm for French
It's often "le" instead "la" + the ending which should change
if you are a German boy, and think "der" (the German male "the") is not gender related, then set all to "die" (the female "the"). but boys even would protest against the German neutral "das"!
for the German translations they dont use Google. it is not realy the translators fault. but you (devs, transator, gamigo ...) should keep in mind that the translations are very discriminatory against women. As far as I've seen , only Queen is female, everything else (except symbols) are for men only
what do you think about : they should not translate it. they should keep the english words, they are (except king/queen) neutral
you seem to have like a deeply flawed understanding of the structure of german language itself. no one is protesting against "das" or "der, die" for that matter as long as it is used in a grammatically correct way; "das Lehrer" being clearly wrong. If you say for example "an der Schule gegenüber sind 8 Lehrer tätig, darunter 4 Frauen" "Lehrer" is being used as a lexeme unrelated to the gender of those teachers thus being genderneutral; yet the the word itself is grammatically masculine. You being unable to accept that fact and yapping around is just weird, its a common convention and rule of the language itself. btw some genderneutral words also exist in other grammatical genders like "die Person" (feminine) or "das Kind" (neuter) an i'm not out here complaining that it should be changed to "der"
kinda crazy bc they have fr dev ppl there at least they have chats on their dc, same for de i think so u would expect the language to not be weird if they r able to fix it, unlike hu where they would need to hire an extra person to go through things
kinda curious if they translated the titles to hu with google but too lazy to get the game just for that
Honestly I don't know
The problem is that French is a very literal language and it's true that it can seem weird. A French phrase/word in the feminine can be very different than in the masculine
the French translation sucks
For example, here they translated "Show" as "Spectacle" which literally means Performance/Sight/Show instead of the verb to show

these small things can really drag down the quality of games, not that trove is not already at the bottom of the pit but oh well
meanwhile spanish: "Teacher of boxes Cr0nicl3D3str0y3r, Magnetic Dragon"
"wrinkly and fair" or "wrinkly and tight" (ew)
also in spanish they do not have it justified, almost all of them are the male way those that were "the" except for kabiri's which somehow is female
but being honest, this is something that is more tied to a limitation in this case, since they would need to make another title for the gender swap which in english wouldn't make sense
either that or the game asking you for your gender, which I would say some people could find uncomfortable that a kids game asks for your gender
this isn't an mmo though
ye but i mean u still choose usually the bodytype
omg, this discussion is so funny. Surest thing is that voxel games needs to learn that there are two genders. Especially minecraft and its impossible villagers.
IT'S like programmers these days were ashamed that everyone is not a genderless minecraft villager
this is the first time ive ever seen someone offended by the sexuality of a minecraft villager
i love discord
mods remove his balls
what's wrong with players who wants to have titles that matches with the gender that nature gave them? It's not like it was a criminal offense yet.
- this is an mmo so you could be giving that info to some people that you may not want them to know what you are
- the integration would be limited to some translations which are not many times used because they are bad (at least in the case of spanish), so it would be extra implementation for something almost unable to be used since english is already gender neutral
Ok then only display the title for people that have languages that support the pronouns
Ez
you are Girl?
