What if i already started a character on xbox by accident?

1. if you have already messed up and logged into your xbox account, then you have to continue till you can get passed the titorial, then when your in the game with Ruby, open the setting menu and find the "Bind Acocunt" option.

2. make a new Netease account in this menu, "Register" hope you have a throw away email or two for this one.

3. once you have created and linked the netease account with your Xbox account, close the game completly.

4. Log into your new account VIA the PC web broswer, once logged in, go to the top right corner and click "Help Center" its gonna open a new tab chat message click the blue link "Unbind account"

5. its gonna ask if you like to unbind your xbox acocunt, click the Bubble and Type in "Confirm" to complete the process.

6. DONT OPEN THE XBOX GAME YET... now if you have linked your PC and Cellphone game together, open the game on your phone and on the main screen there will be a person, left side, it'll open the account center "link account" there should be an Xbox "Link"

7. Link your Xbox account threw the Cellphone App, make sure its linked before the next step

8. CLOSE OUT OF ALL ACTIVE GAMES (PC, Cellphone, Playstation), then open the game on the Xbox and when the "AGREE" to terms and services pops up click "Accept" if done correct then it should reload the main page and your account should pop up. cause mine did.

THESE ARE STEPS I TOOK, USE AT YOUR OWN FREE WILL, AND DONT YELL AT ME IF IT DIDNT WORK

I manage to create one and bind to Google account, and unbind but it didn't work on my Xbox. Still stuck, the only way I'm trying now is deleting Xbox account. But it takes 7 days.

Uhm lil issue, when i go to the web browser and log into that new netease account there's no help center in the top right there's an account center but when i go there there's no unbind account option and on the xbox link account interface they tell me for your account security the netease account cannot be unlinked

Since the update, it seems like synchronization is not working properly. The game frequently reloads, and boss fights and quests often restart from the beginning even when they were already in progress.

UPDATED 6/9/2026

1. If you have already messed up and logged into your Xbox account, then you have to continue till you can get passed the tutorial, then when your in the game with Ruby, open the setting menu and find the "Bind Account" option.

2. Make a new NetEase account in this menu, "Register" hope you have a throw away email or two for this one.

3. once you have created and linked the NetEase account with your Xbox account, close the game completely.

4. Log into your new account VIA the PC web browser, once logged in, go to the top right corner and click "Help Center" its gonna open a new tab chat message click the blue link "Unbind account"

5. its gonna ask if you like to unbind your Xbox account, click the Bubble and Type in "Confirm" to complete the process.

6. Next steps are Linking process, you can link your Xbox account VIA, Cellphone, PS5, PC game, and Webpage.

PC/PS5 -- Open Game -> Pass Title Screen -> Once your INGAME open options, press E or tabbing over the the right till you see "Other" -> "Bind Account" -> "Xbox"

Cellphone -- Title Screen -> Press the Up Arrow on left side -> Guy icon -> Link Account -> Xbox

Browser -- WWM Official Page -> Account Center -> Log in (Main Account) -> Linked Accounts -> Xbox

7. Link your Xbox account threw the Cellphone App (PC/PS5 work as well) make sure its linked before the next step.

8. CLOSE OUT OF ALL ACTIVE GAMES (PC, Cellphone, PlayStation), then open the game on the Xbox and when the "AGREE" to terms and services pops up click "Accept" if done correct then it should reload the main page and your account should pop up. cause mine did.

I see so many people had problems with linking their accounts. Thankfully someone helped them. When I first started this game there were no tutorials and I also made the mistake when I started an account on mobile when I had one on steam. Make a netease account. Link all your social media accounts to that account. After that everything will work. In the account center you can see your character name on the official website.

For me, it happens in both solo and online. I don't need to touch anything in the shop for it to happen. I've just been playing through main story stuff and it's been happening since the moment I got out of character customization. My first crash was in the middle of the second cut scene along with one where I got up to do something so I didn't move my character, then when I got back the moment I moved my character it crashed.

I'm always getting the message that it says my account is already online when I relaunch the game too.

this one is normal, for some reason your session still doesn't expire even if you close the game, it only expires after a certain amount of time has passed. i think it has something to do with their session handling

I'm just going to relay this message to everybody in this #1513241414681493524 after I followed the eight steps that I laid out for people who are having trouble linking their Xbox, or messed up like I did, when I was able to log in with my main account from "Steam" PC (Level 20, 10 hours of gameplay), I loaded the game on my Xbox Series X, I have the Game Pass Ultimate subscription, and my rewards were sitting in my mailbox day one when I logged in. I did not load the game on PC Xbox cloud gaming, or play the game on pc at all minus my save on steam. lingering melody is used for pulls to obtain premium outfits in the game.
pillow pills are used to restore energy to claim rewards that you need to make your character stronger without having to wait for tomorrow.
the others are just honestly bonuses

someone topped up echo beads on the xbox version as well and didn't receive their echo beads as well, not sure if they got their echo beads yet

so yeah despite the issues and bugs, it's still a great game and a very difficult one to develop at that.
i would like to cut the devs some slack but when it comes to money people are stricter, just like in any other business.

but it should be gifting limit reached and not temporarily disabled

I’ve been playing wwm since it released on Xbox

To begin with game ran fine and smoothly didn’t jutter or tear etc

The day after however started having mini screen tears (some times black stripes on screen sometimes white ) , tear would only last a second or two

As I got further in game more and more issues would occur and more frequently (im not far into story neither), the screen would black out at random times but I could still see my ui(on screen ui like quest markers , weapon/ability icons etc ) some times in middle of combat

Today it’s gotten to point I log on get my daily in menu and log off cause game become really rubber band laggy while my charcter is standing still the previous mentions happening more

Ontop of those the following

• random green blotch’s in corner of screen

• quest markers disapearing (sometimes reappears after I relog )

• Dashbaord during charcter outfit change and scenario change

This is not a dig at devs or anything I actually enjoy this game and hope thee get sorted soon so I can continue playing

you can go to settings and enable the cursor mode for controller

that should allow you to click/interact with certain elements

i'm using controller on pc and i often have to swap to my mouse just to click certain buttons

Wolf Maiden is bugged, like badly bugged and needs a fix ASAP. I completed the boss, freed her and all with the key and got the mask. But, I didn't get the xbox achievement unlocked nor do I have her trial unlocked in-game either. The journal says she's defeated and exterminated too mind you. She also now won't ever respawn when the time is set to the time needed. I've sent an email about it, this seriously needs to be fixed as I worry this game-breaking bug may of now just locked me out of very important content and an achievement. I worry my account is now bricked because of it.

Nah something is actually bugged going on when playing on xbox too. I just killed the void king within 60 secs and didn't get the Xbox achievement for that either.

Hi, my friend needs help. They have an existing Where Winds Meet account with all their progress from Steam/mobile. When they launched the game on Xbox, they accidentally created a new character instead of linking their existing account.

On mobile, they can see an option to link an Xbox account. Can they still connect their existing Steam/mobile account to their Xbox without losing their progress or overwriting anything?

Yes, you need to have an xbox-console, then you need to login into the account by using your xbox-console and then you can claim the reward anywhere else too
The system needs to see that you are actually a XBOX-User, as the rewards are primiarly for XBOX-player and not for Steam etc.

I can verify that I got the rewards by logging in from the Xbox version on PC

I was using the official PC Launcher before this, then I bound my xbox account from the ingame settings, then I uninstalled the game and installed it from the XBOX store on PC - specifically, I clicked install after opening it from my game pass library, instead of clicking the "Get" button that's beside it since it's a free game.
I got my rewards in my in-game mail the moment I logged in

so, the companion interaction button (L3 or left stick click) is the same button as sprint, its also the companion dismiss button in the companion menu, so if u try to sprint now, it almost always prioritizes opening the cat menu, then if u spam it, it dismisses the cat.
overall, the companion menu doesnt need to be interactable outside the menu
