current known issue yes. If u do the campaign and that's it, and u haven't explored and done any other seconddary quest in any way ever

After you're out of the campaign in the overworld just chill u can walk around and stuff

the game doesn't tell you how to go back

along with farming and doing business to get a seperate currencies use to upgrade it further

til theres nothing else to upgrade and you just decorate the place for the sake of it

you can invite other players into your estate too up to 3-4

a whole island, however theres border where you can build and you cant if outside the border

There are a few locations to rent in Kaifeng (if you see 🏠❓️ on the map, that's the place), you can build wherever in open world, and your guild location allows free building (but do check with your guild masters if they permit the activity)

Things can be hard to portray without a physical representation (for example, inner demon bosses), so the kid & snake are both yichao himself, in different forms, leading ym to unfold his story. It's similar to a bitter draught of home, but instead, they used Aynur's story, who had a similar past with ym to convey the hatred and ptsd of ym, to show that ym's emotional state was becoming unstable even if this is a dream, everything felt so surreal yet relatable to the little ym

#📖lore-chat message To understand the lion, it's best that you understand the lion in Liangzhou as well (the poem is called the liangzhou performer in compendium if you're interested). Both lions are YM and the characters at the same time. ||The lion could be representing how YM knows that the dream is ending soon, but in reality, nothing has changed, they could only watch the tragedy of the characters happen one by one, which is something the painter was thinking about too. The painter spent his whole life, trying to record everyone so that they won't be forgotten, yet he's already old (and actually, he was already dead). YM had a line “拔剑纵难救人， 但救人唯有拔剑” (It's difficul to save someone even if you draw your sword, but to save someone, you can only draw your weapon.) It's the self-doubt of how your efforts for your whole life seems totally useless that YM & the painter had to get over with, especially YM, because even if hexi isn't their own experience, hexi is like a huge blissful retreat, no matter how YM tried, they still couldn't change the ending.|| Honestly I'm surprised not much people had done analysis on this new lion yet, so I'm not that sure either, but that's what I can find so far. Basically the 3 miracles mirrored the different groups of people, you have the monk wuzhen who contributed greatly in reclaiming liangzhou and have General Zhang YiChao who dedicated his whole life in reclaiming hexi. These people who are reputable are definitely befitting the title of the Skinny Arhat, and should be given the patchwork robe, until the 3rd story(?, when we found the tailor. The story protrays the folks, those who stood against the pressure of tibetans. The patchwork robe is representing the suffering of the folks (exp: the monks who copied scriptures using blood, the workers who spent days and night in making the bell). That's why in the end, when we gave the robe to a beggar, it closed the circle of how Skinny Arhat was created from suffering, where the key is putting the wellbeing of the folks on top priority.

The story of guanyin's tears and the liuli drum can have different intepretations here. On one hand you can say it represent those women like caojingguanyin who were married off, or you could say it means giving up parts of human nature. The opportunity of leaving a name often comes with multiple sacrifices, and one of it is exactly human nature. Sometimes being too humane would also mean you're giving up the chance of making yourself known and recorded, just like zhangyichao (in a way, the story is also talking about him) killing the snake that represents his selfishness.

If looked from Guanyin's pov (her family might be based on rl cao family, that took over the guiyi army in the future, and they were famous for mantaining relationships with others through marriages.) Here guanyin in the moon, represents her family, she had everything, food, a luxury life (if compared to the commoners), why does she want to escape the moon (her family cage)? If she went with the marriage, she would have left a name (that's why, here it's also equivallent to giving up the chance), but that's not what she wanted, freedom was something not only her, but also countless women during ancient times wished and hoped, but reality are shackles locking them up in the cage, where their lifes can't be decided by themselves.

The dream is in short stories, so whatever you see in the ending of the quests are pretty much the ending of them. The devs deliberately leave them open ended, so players have the freedom to think about the possible endings. Qinchuan would then conclude tang's decline & the start of the 5 Dynasty 10 Kingdoms period. The devs haven't given us the exact release date, but we can expect it next month.

Yet the jade started rumours among the society, some say it can revive the dead, some say it can extend ones age by 1000 years (Tang at that time is still at its peak). Lady Gongsun (The second leader of MT) took a real "gold peach" which is the jade, and sealed it in a wooden box, waiting for someone worthy to pass it down for. It was then she met young Guoxin and passed it down to him, so the chain is smth like this: Lady Gongsun -> Guoxin -> Lan He (crucial character in dark surge) -> Yichao -> Huaishen -> Suo Jing -> qinchuan characters. Rumours said that suo jing once tried to pass the dasan pass (and almost died), but suo jing never said anything.||

Different people have different tastes I guess, like kaifeng definitely is more action in a sense where you go out beating different bosses, but hexi is quite different in terms of story telling that does not stop me from shedding tears from those cutscenes even though I'm only reading the story through words

Problem with Hexi quest line is that when it's good it's really good and emotional. When it's bad it's a complete chore to spam skip through.

But as a while I think it did a good job tying historical reference to the emotional journey of MC. It's themes of Home, Legacy parallels MC's current journey very well.

They have to find people that understand the historical aspect of the game. they have to make everything into english and make sure we understand what it would mean because we are not chinese so we dont understand like a person from china would. something like them putting the song for the new hexi region in english. unless they somehow made everything a different meaning. it wasnt going to work in english. so they kept it the same.

I used to work in translation and this game has to be HELL to localise. The amount of historical, cultural refences, wordplays, poetic phrases, etc. makes it really difficult to properly find parallel terms in another language. Not to mention some concepts don't even exist in another culture. Imo the team here did an amazing job overall. I think the Devs can help them too by providing them with more context of what they want to convey. Also it helps if the localisation team also play the game.

Because I think , while the cultural more aspects of things have been consistent so far, the little things like skill descriptions and terminology consistency is still iffy. Sword Horizon innerway contains very inconsistent and confusing terms that describe the same skill. I think the same for a lot of the martial arts description as well. SoulShade Umbrella special skill is called different things depending on where you read it. Imo this should be fixed and it shouldn't take that long.

what i got from the cutscene is related to our origins, the "golden peach" or the jade was passed from guoxin to lanhe to various figures in hexi to be returned to tang, and then the battle of zhongdu bridge happened and the jade ended up on us

On the way to the sunken city, you would trigger a short quest at Huayu Road, where you would see little LiZuo with his lover QingYi, along with the dead body of LiZuo's father TangZhaoZong. Tang fell bc of ZhuWen who intend to take over the authorities, so after assassinating LiZuo's father, he set LiZuo up as the puppet ruler who was only 13 (904-907) for 3 years, then poisoned him to death (in game, he was alive thanks to QingYi drinking the poison upon him). After that, Zhu Wen established later liang, marking the end of Tang, the longwu soldiers you see in qinchuan were all under his command.

To make things a bit clearer, the baby (us) is confirmed to be an orphan in the zhongdu bridge war (veiled lady/baichuyu as well), how the jade ended up in our hands were still unclear considering how the jade is already at our side when Jiang picked us up. If you read the dark surge descriptions, especially the harmonizer part, it indicates that YM is indeed special, and their talent is further supported with the ability of the jade.

the “fang bai” at that point was lan ao in disguise

this is a similar medicine that aunt han and unfated tian used to disguise people for the hanging sword

It is theorized mc’s jade pendant was stolen by Uncle Jiang. If you rewatch that cinematic it looks just like him except lower part of face is covered.
Theory is also Golden Peach was split in half and two orphans ended up with one half. Yes people think the jade pendant is half of the Golden Peach

Golden peach is the jade we're holding, the name 镇冠珏 (ZhenGuanJue) was given as Jue means two pieces of jade. The person taking it from usis most probably uncle Jiang, and he might also be the one carving the aureate pavilion's logo as well (knowing LiZuo is after the other half of the jade)
