They haven't fixed anything. That announcement was just the patch notes for the update we got nearly a month ago.

Ridiculous that something as stupidly simple as patch notes, took them weeks.

PLEASE fix placement of items in building mode at the Guild Garrison. I can access the list of items, if an item has more then one option; but I can’t select anything else except the first option. This makes the variety of items I can place extremely limited.

Perception Forest > Can’t select the spawn location, this is pretty much constantly broken.

In guild custom events> interface for this is completely broken too, can’t go to the text section, only add emojis and can’t pick the time past 4:30PM local.

In guild recruitment list, the list that shows all the guildless people; no longer possible to open their card and see their profile/send messages all that. Only able to access it with a mouse/keyboard.

Crashes after perception forest runs, after changing an outfit, after opening a menu etc. It’s atrocious and needs a serious fix. All of it.

There is so much broken I can’t even think of naming all of it rn but these are definitely the biggest pain to deal with.

You'll find all of your photos (save from wwm) there, and open the photos and upload it to ps app, manually

Anyone else NOT getting any little red flowers from the Jianghu Martial Games this past week? EVEN THOUGH I'M COMPLETING EVENTS AND CLAIMING THEM, it hasn't budged from 130 flowers since at least LAST WEEK.

We just completed Myriad Boards under together, and claimed the 170 x2 for week 3... and we didn't get any rewards for that either. Still stuck at 130 flowers. (Together cap currently says 0/1360)

My spouse completed the Mistveil City one and he didn't get any flowers for that either.

Is it a Nine Mortal Ways part of the quest to scam us out of rewards? 😢

If it's not giving us the proper rewards we're earning... then I'm going to miss out on 2000 flowers worth of rewards. I am 2,000 points away from being able to get all the rewards and the only thing I have left is Mistveil city. Everything else was completed. The race is probably the only one that we didn't max out on because we didn't know it was ending early. But we still did around half or more of it. I think it gave 2,400 points in total?

Only the titles should be lit up then. Week 3 and Mistveil maps should not be lit up. The rewards part should be locked if you can't claim them anymore.

It doesn't make sense to have the only parts of the event still claimable are the titles apparently since probably Sunday (if not longer.)

The flower exchange section has its own countdown saying "Exchange ends in: 3d 13h"

If you try to press L1 button to go from Stronger to Higher... a pop up on the screen says [Event has ended].

But you don't get that when you go between Stronger or Together. Implying that the events are both still available.

I have a strong feeling that it's a mistake. Somehow they disabled the flower rewards on the last two remaining events.

I would uninstall WWM first.

Then - turn off the ps5 (not rest mode.. like off) , then hold the power button for until you hear the 2nd beep, then you have to connect your controller with the cable - press the home button to pair it. Once safe mode appears, select clear cache and rebuild database - then rebuild database. Wait for it to finish and try reinstalling

Would like to add to this: the scenario/profile editing doesn’t save the character in the position you saved it in. Angles too, it’s always just in one awkward spot where you can’t even see all of the background you’re using.

My game constantly crashes after finishing perception forest . Additionally everytime on herosrealm between boss fights my game crashes when the vicrory MVP screen is appearing.
Before the major updates ibhad no issues.

New issue to report! Anyone started having major performance issues in Sword Trials?

Randomly in sword trials I’ll be unable to switch weapons, my character will attack using the animations from the unequipped weapon and vice versa all while simultaneously being insanely laggy/delayed where actions on screen are several seconds behind the input, my character will also rubber band putting me back to a spot I was at several seconds ago.

Then the game will just lock up and freeze, have to close the game and restart or leave the fight if the game unfreezes which usually doesn’t happen.

Nah.. a 4070 isn’t equivalent to PS5 Pro in real world terms. 4070 has dedicated VRAM (ps5 shares its gddr6 so GPU and CPU are fighting over it) stronger RT hardware, DLSS (most importantly… frame gen), and far more flexibility

Consoles rely on dynamic resolution and reconstruction and lower settings to hit targets.

If a 4070 + 3700X is hitting 100 fps in the same area where PS5 Pro is at 45–50, that’s a CPU/memory bottleneck on console. The workloads aren’t the same.

Also, plenty of times the 4070 runs twice as fast as ps5 pro.. look at cyberpunk. The Pro targets 30–50 FPS with RT on at dynamic resolution. (Watch DFs video on the 2.3 patch) Cyberpunk on the 4070 hits 80–120 FPS at 1440p with RT + DLSS Quality

Same with horizon zero dawn etc

Cyberpunk and Horizon are 1800p-4k (Dynamic resolution) on Pro vs 1440p on 4070. Also cyberpunk is non pro enhanced, RT don’t have access to the new hardware.

RT and frame gen aren’t required for a 4070 to get better results. Even in pure raster a 4070 regularly delivers much higher fps than PS5/Pro in CPU limited situations

5% on average isn’t supported by any broad benchmarks. We’re only seeing partiy when consoles are using dynamic resolution reconstruction, and capped targets. Remove caps.. the gap widens quickly

Dynamic 1800p to 4k is reconstructed output not equivalent render cost.. it’s not a stable output like 1440p which on DLSS quality is usually a higher shader cost. Cyberpunk not being Pro-enhanced means the console is still hitting CPU and mem limits despite lower internal work to do

Consoles could really benefit from frame gen tbh, it’s a game changer. It takes 40–50 fps CPU bound scenes to 80–100 fps output easily. PSSR is just IQ and doesn’t help FPS. VRR just helps with screen tear and stutter

PS5 disable VRR automatically when the framerate is under 48fps (and enable again when the framerate is over 48fps, it's dynamic) ). VRR range only work between 48-120hz (48-60hz on 60hz mode)

Having issues with playing a lot of arena (1v1) back to back. After lets say atleast 20 matches I notices laggy and input delay, maybe lost some frames. Even PS5 getting warmer.

Was fighting someone in 1v1 arena and never saw their twinblade dash skill with 2x speed. Clipped it with PS5 build-in capture. After watching the capture, it showed like the normal speed of for twinblade dash. Thought he was cheating but I am not sure.

Also the last week having problems blocking. Like holding the block button L1 but their is some kind of delay or lag.

I’m having issues with parry myself. Normally have no issues parrying (can even parry Heavenquaker charged attack!) but keep missing everything. Small input delay.

This! I didn’t either the last time I ran Twin Lions Hero’s Realm, I’ve also stopped crashing exiting co-op and also stopped randomly crashing in the menus.

Navigation in some parts of the menus is still terrible with a controller so many issues with the cursor not moving, losing track of the cursor and weird scrolling issues. Hopefully that all gets fixed in the 1.3 update.

You should have more hope. The Devs seem really capable, look at the world design and the combat. It's normal these days to launch with not enough polishment (unfortunately). Then you have to keep the masses happy with new content and only at some point there's time for optimization. Players these days leave when they don't have a ton of content to play with. So first content, then quality. Also you can see that many areas run perfectly well. It's literally just Kaifeng that is cursed for now

My experience so far, I crashed once while leaving co-op (this stopped happening just before today’s update) and someone I was playing with crashed like 3 times within an hour, once at the end of Hero Realm phase 1 boss, second during phase 1 boss in sword trials and third while in the menus.

It looks like they have fixed some of the menu navigation issues like in the chat/social menu where the cursor would be unresponsive, or you’d lose track of it, its position would reset just a frustrating and inconsistent experience.

Cursor is still broken in the Gallery where you browse other people submitted dyes, hairstyles etc as you scroll down the cursor’s position will reset, or you’ll lose track of it, or the page will infinitely scroll etc. been like this since launch!

Tested leaving another co-op, I didn’t crash! Instead I got stuck in the loading screen! 😩

I think you're right. It felt like 60 for me, as compared to the framerate in Kaifeng

The game has a restriction that prevents you from gifting items that EXCEED the dollar total of what you have spent on YOUR OWN character.

If you have bought $100 worth of outfits, you should be able to gift up to $100* (*If I remember, it's equal to your own character spending.)

The game also tells you if they ALREADY own the item you're trying to gift them. Not sure if you can send a duplicate if they already own it.

Obviously luck-based gacha items are not giftable, like Harmonic Core gacha items.

My Dusk to Dawn was fine when I logged in, but my spouse couldn't claim his Dusk to Dawn because it only said Loading... tried going to it later (after fireworks outposts and Tian Ying) and mine became broken as well. Except I couldn't even use the circle to exit out either.

The only way out of that screen is to restart the game. Dusk to Dawn is broken for us. I feel like they should extend the events in general since there's time sensitive stuff and people are kind of getting screwed out of rewards because of these errors.

Like for example the neon flags or rainbow flags depending on which screen you're on, you only have 3 days to complete the event and you need 15 of them. With a limit of five per day. So if people are having problems accessing the event or it's crashing every time they go to the animation upload screen...

One thing...and... oh man, it's another bug, a big issue.
The cursor tip worked fine and they fixed the blue point problem but, now I'm unable to write anything! I can't end the help cursor, it stays active all the time! I realized it when I made a picture and wanted it to be released. First everything worked and I tipped in the description but then I saw it wasn't there! After this I'm unable to write anymore, it always say " use keys to write" but the keys disappeared. I'm even unable to write to the support to describe the problem!

Tip for the boat, use head sparklers and spam them to gain the xp quicker so you don’t have to stay and wait for it to go up

My advice: 1) don’t open the shop on playstation, very high chance to crash. If you do, be quick haha. If I stay for 20 sec my gane crashes lol. 2) Do not watch other peoples profile bc I think the new AI feature will crash, hope they fix it soon. Prob ps5 issue with gpu/memory or something else. 3) after the daily reset, log out. And restart the game. A lot of things will help just by log out, restart (so press option and at the bottom says log out, then you can close the app and restert)

There's nothing you can do to mitigate the crashes in this game because the cause is the game itself.

If i had to guess the crashes are all related to the networking code. Anytime the server gets any major queries from a console player, there's a high risk of a crash. The quicker they occur in succession the higher the odds.

It seems like the games intended remedy for that issue is to boot the player back to title, but on console that step seems to more often than not simply crash the client.

I've actually seen this issue before in another f2p online game in the past. It ultimately boiled down to how these games need to interact with PSN in order to function correctly, with issues like this being introduced when it does not.

It is entirely in the devs hands. I don't really know that there's anything underpinning having hope in this scenario, given that this is their first game.

All you can really do is watch this space, checking in from time to time.

I am inclined to agree, the crash most of the time at the end of the 1st phase hero’s realm boss, when the Best in the game player is being shown, or the crash most of the time at the end of co-op session during the loading screen or the crashes while in the menus could be network/server related.

After 1.3 there was also an issue where you’d get stuck in a loading screen, progress bar would get stuck around 90%. This happen to be once after leaving a co-op session, haven’t experienced it again so hopefully that’s fixed but that could have been network/ server related too.

Yes but it’s not completely broken though, Battlepass menu along with several other menus are buggy making them inconsistent to navigate because the Cursor is unresponsive, doesn’t move where you expect etc

Pop in and Frames hasn’t really been an issue for me since like 1.2 except for GvG which is borderline unplayable but was mentioned “Guild War Optimisation” but yes fingered crossed for more improvement!, I’m glad they also specifically mentioned “Focus & Cursor Display Optimisation” because the menu navigation with controller is sometimes really bad due to the focus/cursor not functioning correctly.

PS5 Pro user here, let me break it down for you. The performance has not been optimized with 1.4.

The patch notes don't include any info about it, because they haven't even tried to make it better.

It's a pure content update, the framerate and the pop ins are just as bad as before. Very, very disappointing to see.

Hopefully one day we'll see a polished console version, but that is not today.

Going back to play other games. Excited for Crimson Desert and obviously GTA6 later this year.

Lag is caused by network latency, hardware issues, background processes or drivers. What isn’t working for you might be fine for other people

Most input lag is related to the game itself, they are delaying frames to get better frame times and it’s pretty evident on Kaifeng where literally the game freeze for 200-300ms on PS5 every time you start to move the character from idle

Input latncy is tied to frame queue and render pipeline, so it shows up as consistent delay. A 200–300ms spike is a frame time hitch from streaming or CPU work, not input lag

Taking that in considering, do you have any tip for how to improve input latency on ps?

For example, in my scenario, i have a big tv from ~2020, a standard Ps5 with the hdmi cable that came with it, as well as the original dualsense wireless controller. I also have a 500 mbps net speed, with lan cable. With this setting and having made many tests, i notice a huge difference in input latency in pvp arena when compared to pc, applying the same exact setting on the pc, controller connected with bluetooth.

Honestly…. the biggest source of input latency on PS5 is usually the TV, not the console. A few things that can help - turn on game mode on the TV (this is the biggest one because it disables most image processing) - turn off motion smoothing, noise reduction, dynamic contrast, etc. Use wired controller mode. Make sure the TV input is set to PC or Game label if available.. similarly if TV supports 120Hz mode, enable it
