Also thought they added it in the last patch but now its just an april fools thingy.

Cali servers don't exist. Only NA-E for some delusional reason.
Also SEA server is closer for OCE, so OCE would still play on SEA or JPN even if Cali servers existed.

As for if OCE has lots of people playing, well probably not any more. Tends to happen after 6 months of being ignored. I haven't logged in since Jan, I want to play the game but not with the ping issues.

So Honor of kings world released in China and the netcode is significantly better than this game. People are reporting that you can play pvp even at 100-150 ping and combat is super smooth.

I think things are client side for things like movement and combat but hit detection isn't. So your attacks come out smooth but you will still get hit delay and positional hit delay which is minor.

I think they really need to make combat in this game client side or something. The ping required to have 0 issues in this game is basically 0 ping because you actually for some reason experience delays and issues even with a mere 50 ping in pvp.

"So Honor of kings world released in China" - it doesn't lag much because China's internet infrastructure is much better because all servers in CHINA. You compare unrelated things. Yet some cities inside China will be 'faster' but with a such a little margin like 15ms to 5ms. On the global scale, we have a much bigger problem with ppl having hundreds ms dif.
I play on german servers with my friend from middle Africa. We have 80ms ping dif because he's so freaking far away from Germany.

I think the only way for them to improve connection between players is to get more servers with fastest routes. Like VPN providers do it, but with an extra step of finding a server to run the game somewhere in the middle.
There also might be a chance of improving the game itself but I have no Idea how.

Server side is better for competitive games. That's all.
People can do things about their connection and location (its hard and not cheep though), and people can't influence cheaters. I prefer having 5% chance of winning a user with server-side than 0% when its client side against a cheater.

If you criticize, don't forget to provide at least some options for ppl who are interested in it.
I don't think ppl who're working on it don't give a damn about it. Don't forget that devs who made the game aren't the same who now deals with this networking issue

Yes you're probably right. For clarity I am only making the assumption based on what I've seen and what some other people have assumed in regards to how Honor of Kings World functions. It could be that the game is server side too but at a glance it looks to be some sort of hybrid and whatever they are doing is working because it looks smooth as hell to play even at higher ping.

I wouldn't consider this game a competitive game. Yes, there are rankings but how many people actually care about those outside of a handful? Most do it for the reward. This isn't LoL or Fortnite where there's hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line where people are more likely to try cheat and do actually cheat. Cheating in a game like WWM especially if you've paid for the gacha just seems dumb and it takes forever to catch up after you start fresh so I doubt it would happen often if at all even if they did make it more client side.

All I can say is I wish they'd do whatever Honor of Kings World is doing because whatever WWM is doing now just ain't it. There are crazy desync issues, input delay and just really noticeable delay even with lower ping which is why some rich people in China tend to move next to the servers for an advantage in pvp because you realistically need 0 or single digit ping. Even having 30 or 50 is a big disadvantage over lower ping. It's just horrible.

Ping is the major issue for a large portion of the global player base right now. Many of us, especially in regions like OCE, are stuck playing at 120+ ping, which significantly impacts gameplay and overall experience.

Adding another US server doesn’t really solve this problem, it just reinforces the gap for players outside that region. This concern has been raised repeatedly, but it feels like it’s not being properly addressed. As a result, more players are getting frustrated and leaving.

At the very least, people who genuinely love the game should be able to enjoy modes like 1v1s without being heavily impacted by latency, but even that’s becoming difficult. Improving latency for global regions should be a priority if you want to retain your player base. There's a difference between "playable" and a smooth fun experience. I play on 90 through a VPN in Aus. The experience is sub par even at this ping and it's beyond horrid in pvp. Yes, you can get by but it doesn't mean it's fine or good. It makes the whole experience more frustrating to play imo.

I think if you are in WA,SA or Victoria you can get under 100 ping with VPN . Im in QLD and cant get under 120ms with VPN. I use to PVP heaps but cant be arsed anymore with the ping dif, I just use all my energy and log off

GeForce Now has helped many reduce ping but latency is still there. So you can actually do your combos in PvP. Unfortunately we’re on OCE and the closest server to me is Au west 1 which only gives me 97 ping but some people from Brazil for example may have 150ms but can connect to servers in USA and get 10-15ms but 150ms latency if that makes sense.

from what I know you can change your battlegroup (check where singapore/sea is sitting). I was also in tokyo server but I changed my battlegroup to jiangzhu (most singaporean players is here I guess). Check if you can change it in your guild tho.

what was is it before? Perhaps routing got messed up and now you being routed to some other server. Try to use gearup and see if it helps

Hi everyone, I want to ask for help regarding about my account’s region and pin!
My account was created in Dubai which was Middle East and server is EU since at that time there was no Middle East server. But the problem is now I’m moving back to Asia and when I arrive Asia, I can’t even play the game anymore cuz of high Ms. I heard we can’t change the region of the account after created is that true? To open new account, I have spent quite the money onto that account so I don’t want to. That’s why is there any way that I can change the region or any way that can help me boost my Pin? Btw I play in Mobile and already try to play with GearUP.

Please Help me to enlighten guys !

Set your exitlag/gearup to asia for 3 days and go to online world for not less than 1 hr. You should be fine thats what my mumma said

Happy for OCE Servers finally, but they're still unable to move our guild base from JP to SEA at the very least. A lot of guilds that were created early days were put on JP server 🤧

In Game tickets & Email responses I received all kept telling me the same thing, that it's not possible to move a guild base to a different region.

My Guild thats been around for 6 months is now slowly transitioning to a newly created guild and leveling up from scratch to fit all 100 of us

GearUp is useless. I'm on the west coast but they kept routing me to Ashburn USA. That's east coast bruh. Not even sure if it works. Uninstalled

Guys I just downloaded the patch and now my game keeps crashing when I try claiming rewards or using sweep tokens , never happened before ..

My game also was crashing in 5 min 2 days before and especially when I open battlepass store but now the game does even gives a smooth experience every day the ping goes worse than before . Your issue is temporary but this ping issue in the game will be permenent I think

no net code always stays the same and doesnt just change. changing the netcode means they will have to change everything again, and re model every single weapon, items, clothes, cosmetics, mechanics etc.

what your facing is just ping instability and routing issues and dont forget arena is p2p meaning player to player meaning each fight theres a hoster.

This is absurd , Even in New World aternum that was open wolrd online only with 100 people around me i i had perfect ping and fps. And i had people on my guild from all over the place. Isreal , south africa etc. and im from eu

99% of the time if your ping is stable and lets say you get like 200ms, your solo world will be fine, no lags, nothing affecting animation. however if your ping spikes to 5000 or some sh1, your solo world starts bugging, and things wont load, dialogues wont work, pressing on things wont register. cause solo world is half dependant on your internet as well
