The fact this page exists in "in progress issues" section is because they acknowledge the issue. I emailed them several times and they acknowledged working on it. There is also scheduled update in December for solo world fix

Honestly there is no excuse, I love this game. But how is the delay in co-op THIS BAD?!?! Like I press any button and nothing happens for a full 1 second, sometimes longer.

I’m in Australia, and I’ve played games on US servers with less delay than this, it’s ridiculous.

Whoever is in charge of their network connection, needs to be fired.

I understand that the staff in this discord aren’t responsible for the issues, but they should definitely be doing everything they can to let their higher ups know about these delay issues, so it can be fixed soon. Cause otherwise this game WILL start to lose players.

The problem isn't the lack of regional servers it's that whatever the game is using to sort is doing a bad job. For clarity im in the US. There's 0 reason for routing to send us to literal nowhere Australia.

If the downfall of this game becomes the simple fact that it doesn't have basic servers for standard regions (South America especially since they are clearly being pretty loud about it) nor great connections for those that are already implemented so people can enjoy the online experience i'll actually be sad, it is popping off since it is mostly played at the start as a single player game, but its only a matter of time for people to actually see what is happening (most already did) and how awful any PVE/PVP online/coop is, guess we wait a bit more to see how it will all play out but it seems like it will be the case. A friend group of mine already quit because of the lack of localized servers (basically impossible to do any online/coop content), they said it was simply because of the ping issue, the game is good, administration is bad, it sucks, really, and it is probably happening more and more each day that you guys go to sleep without fixing this. Another gem getting butchered because of bad global implementation, deserved but sad to see, go next.

this is how i fixed the ping problem - create NEW account (on steam). as long as your character ID starts with 2 instead of 00 you are golden. not only did it fix my Ping in multiplayer and coop, single player became more smooth too xD

I am not even going to lie, if they made the game have 0 disadvantages for playing solo i would not be complaining since i would gladly play this as a single player experience, but if they are giving you and expecting you to play online/coop for better rates/rewards and at the same time have the most s** connection any game has ever seen i will keep complaining until they fix it or the game dies eventually. I am mad a lot of CCs are doing a great review of this game without touching this topic because the game is actually really good as a single player experience, but with such a big issue like this that only comes forward when you get to the current cap and need to farm forts/raids/guild raids/pvp it should be treated more harshly since its dogs*.

~~I already sent an email to support but want to reiterate here so it doesnt get lost. Not sure if they are actually going to fix it and am being told that optimization happens based on who is in the guild base, but that doesn't seem correct.

My guild is mostly NA players but the original Guild Leader is from MENA. A lot of us consistently get horrible ping in our guild hall and it is making guild activities very unpleasant to do. I was passed the Guild Leader role but nothing has changed; ping is still horrible. Please look into re-situating where the Guild Base is located server-wise. I have no idea how almost all of the NA players in my guild are getting anywhere from 200 to 700+ ping in our own guild base.
We go to other Guild Halls and have no issue in their arenas or base. There is definitely something wrong with our Guild's Base.

We chose to just remake the guild (even though we had 95 members, level 6, and high prosperity). Breaking Army and especially our Guild Arena being unplayable was completely ruining our experience as we are a PvP-focused guild. We remade it with the Guild Leader being in NA and it completely fixed all lag in the base, so the latency issue was 100% due to the original Guild Leader's location. Luckily, we were also able to re-use the same guild name immediately after disbanding it.

However for other people's sakes, please look into this issue with resituating guild base locations. Others may not be willing to remake the guild as we did.

I figured out why Australians are getting screwed with their ping. It's cause it routes down to Sydney, across to Perth, up to HONG KONG and down to singapore. Yes, that's right, it BYPASSES Singapore and instead of going up and across which would likely be quicker, it goes down and across.

Just an echo chamber. Most players don't spend their spare time on steam discussions, reddit or discord. At the end of the day, we're just the minority.
On ps5, I can see my ping in online mode. It's usually anywhere from 300-999ms which is abysmal.

Sure, a VPN can optimise the routes to servers, but at the end of the day, if servers aren't implemented on the continents players are playing from, the connections always going to be bad.
VPNs dont just magically bypass the laws of physics and that's impossible for some to comprehend.
I'm agreeing with you, though will rephrase your comment from increasing servers to implementing regional based servers.

But your ping was likely still garbage even before then. The ping indicator only shows up if your ping is above 200 (the in-game reporter is also +50-60 ping, so subtract that to get close to your real ping). You were likely sitting at 120-130+ before this

you can use vpn to solve this issue, i was connected to japan first but mine was supposed to be singapore 💀 but one thing is you will have to do this everytime before you launch the game. i personally use urban vpn, first i connect it to Singapore then i log into the game and disconnect it while in-game. now you can check the remote address again to see if you are connected to the correct region

Ye in that case try a VPN to your nearest server location, if that fails, a VPN to a node on the way to your nearest server (eg halfway there) or a VPN to your nearest large hub in terms of networking (normally a state capital city or large metropolitan area)
