Also Ruby is dressed in red meaning the villagers probably thought she was dead because she was covered in red clothing which looks like blood. AND because rubies are found underground. It means Ruby didn’t die to the witch but died because she was buried alive.

the name 16 sounds of Yanyun refers to the 16 prefectures, as well as the cultural clash and divide that signifies the period as people scramble to legitimatize themselves as the successor to the Tang Dynasty which, although it fell... Was a legendary golden age that few empires could hold a candle to

and of course there's the Khitans who want a part of that.

Well I beat Qianye in 4 attempts and Earth Fiend took me like 20 lmao. His attack animations might be telegraphed but the timings are all over the place plus the constant movement in the fight makes the camera go absolutely ballistic. But I think once I got the timings down it was pretty easy tbh

i'd deflect a red attack of hers, and then while i was still in the deflect animation, she still did her followup attack as if i missed and hit me,
sometimes the execute after staggering her didn't make her fall back instead she just stood still for a moment and then proceded to attack me. if unlucky she did the quick scythe swipe backwards jump while i was in the execute animation...

incredibly frustrating

funny enough, the phase where you fought her frost form i actually found easiest. and even then 4 bloody times, the final attack i had to parry before killing her. i fumbled and mistimed my parry 😅 those were increasingly painful...
