One is an in-game social feature where the 'marriage' system is just another friend feature to gain social points for your weekly activities so it's best to partner with a friend or someone you play with regularly it's meant to be something fun. Actually searching for potential dating partners is not supported in the server. We've had issues because of that multiple times hence the rules being put into place

We are also not a dating server to begin with and don't want to promote that behaviour as that can spiral very badly very quickly and it would be a pretty bad look if the official server for a game was being used as a dating platform.

the community has shown frustration over not being able to look for partnership, because in game tools absolutely suck. You only get 62 character to write something, and majority of people just leave it at default. So you have absolutely no idea if they even play the game, if they are gonna quit in 2 days, or if they are even of age. It's completely random selection, you cannot even check their profile.

the in game tools are borderline unusable.

99% of people only want partnership for cosmetics and nothing else, but the staff team is trying to spin the narrative that partnership is the same as dating. Which is quite childish and honestly a reach.

It's really not a reach when people are trying to use it for that feature and specifying details about the type of person they want to marry.

If you just want to use it for cosmetics then marrying a friend who plays is just as viable if you don't want to use the ingame tools available

Either way there won't be any legroom regarding rule 10 since it's a preventative measure of people trying to turn the server into a dating server
