I have the skills and knowledge to build my own house so I'd just have to buy land and permits. The price of materials is insane right now but I can just dip on the US and head somewhere else. I've lived abroad for a good few years in my teens while working so it's not impossible. My real fear is that from an economical standpoint the US is a house of cards more than ever. The only thing propping up the economy right now is shady investments and fake bloated numbers.

I get that, and it’s not a bad idea buying a house overseas and you won’t need credit that way. The price of land is still viable in country side of the us, and building the house would be more economical, if you ever did want to stay. Honestly, the only thing is it’s hard to find another country that has good life quality and isn’t even more expensive or hard immigration wise. If you have the skills though you should consider getting into flipping houses it can make a lot of money.

For sure, I don't come from money but I don't want to play the race either because morally I find it repugnant especially with the cascading effects it has on everyone around you.

I know that's just the way things are but I have a strong stubborn streak and don't like people especially systems of power telling me how to act or be, I know this dream is basically impossible at this point but I just want to work and earn enough to pay my bills and be happy with enough to afford hobbies and things I enjoy. I want to avoid the rat race as much as possible

I think people in the US are closer to it than ever. But I'm biased in that direction. It really depends on how the economy goes. Everyone under the top 10% is starving and struggling but the top 10% are literally pushing half of the US economical spending at this point. Communities are doing a lot to support each other but we're in an unprecedented time with AI on the rise and loss of jobs/less creation of new jobs because just have AI do it. Civil unrest is building but who knows what the future holds

sometimes what happens is that the prior node could "eat" the pity on your last node, so if you're not in a hurry, you can roll like 3 times on the last node, and then wait a while before rolling again to soft reset the counter

gotta be especially careful when one roll causes 2 nodes to turn gold, bc the chances of that eating up your last node is pretty high
