Someone living in Asia with a ping of 40 and you with a ping of 400 can easily kill you. That's nonsense.

We hope they will pay attention to the issue of servers first and ping.

No they can’t. You can go up to them and hit a button that opens a small menu and ask to spar with them. But you cannot just walk up to someone and hit them.

If you’re super into PvP there is an Arena mode. They have 1v1 which is time locked and Perception which is Battle Royale for Singles, Duos, and Flexible.

Hello, so I am new to all of this. Just found this game without never having heard of it before a couple days ago. Just booted it up for a few minutes and it is interesting. So one of the things that interest me about this game is the home building? Apparently you can do that at level 25? I think I am still at level 1. but is building monetary resource based or natural gathering resource based? Also what does building, besides the joy of building stuff (which I like) what purpose mechanically speaking does building a home have?

I think it’s resource based. But I’d be lying to you if I told you I dove into the building mechanics. The most I’ve done is build 2 ladders to grab a glowing butterfly. But I heard it’s cool. I might check it out later too.

Yes practically. If you hit trees with your sword you get resources from it. You can use tai chi in the water to get fish. And I think the grass too but it’s not everywhere.

Hmmm idek dude. If I’m being honest with you restart your game completely. If it still doesn’t work then maybe your quests haven’t aligned with it yet. This game wants you to explore and talk to people. That’s how you open new questlines and find things you need. It’s how I found another piece of the map.

Nice! Well one of the thing that seems to grab me from what little bit of less than an hour I have experienced is how you feel like your interacting with a live world. What I mean by this is that I like bethesda's games like elder scroll, fallout, etc because it isn't just a rpg, you interact with the world in a variety of immersive ways that I haven't really felt any other studio/game replicate the way they do it. And so far this game feels like this has the potential to feel like that for me. Again less than an hour so I will see.

So basically the game has lvl caps. You can only lvl up 10 lvls per day. They did this so you can explore and experience side quests and other content. But the exp you get gets stored until your account is ready to breakthrough then it’s used

There isn’t an “official” level cap right now I don’t think

But you lvl up 10 lvls per day pretty much. In the early stages you might get lucky and boost enough xp to break through. But I got to lvl 40 on Sunday and I had to wait 2 days.

And the higher lvl you get the harder the world becomes. Bosses, world bosses, and missions get more difficult.

So I chose the starting option that I wanted to play solo. What bearings does that have? Like I am sure i can still play coop and full multiplayer with the same character? Does it just change the starting area or early activites?

They’re working on server issues with ppl having messed up regions. They’re rolling out a fix November 21st

Yes you can switch to different modes. On the top of your screen there’s a white silhouette when you click that you can pick multiplayerworld. And it teleports you over to a world where you can see players all over. They made it like that to separate solo content from coop content. Like certain coop missions and bosses can only be accessed in the multiplayer world

Even guild stuff will be accessed through there too

No you can be in a multiplayer world. You can start a coop world but all it really does from my experience is put you in a coop group tbh

Yeah but just bc it makes the enemies stronger doesn’t mean it makes you stronger. You still need to do the other quests to get your stronger weapons, gear. And your attributes matter. Even different martial art styles. It helps you max them out. Like there’s a lot more to it which is why they cap it

Im just exploring the map so far, and if I swap the map to multiplayer mode most of the content disappears... Sure ill do sword trials, but this game doesnt seem like its a "farm sword trials as its the main content" kinda game. I farmed plenty of fractals in GW2, did plenty of dungeons in BDO, did lost ark PVP and raids...
