Oh yeah you are fine. Borderlands mostly uses only a couple cores, so the 5600X should give better performance even though it has 2 less cores.

Hard to say until the game officially comes out, but if it for some reason absolutely requires 8 cores for some wierd reason getting a 5700X is relatively cheap

Word of caution though, they spit out tons of heat XD. They will turn your PC into a space heater if you use an AIO.

Unless you have a better way to dissipate the heat through metal heatsinks and or fans

Even if the case had heatsinks, it would be very inefficient. The way heat transfers through materials is extremely important. There is a reason Thermal paste is used between the cooler and CPU XD. However i will say that a phone cover with proper materials and a decent fan can and will "Slightly" reduce temps. Though in a weird way. By reducing the temp of the phones outer shell, it will in turn reduce the phones internal temps. By way of a reduction in the heat saturation of the phone exterior which the phone uses as a sort of "heatsink".

And we'd assume that theirs thermal paste from the CPU all the way through their own heatstinks to the case to the new heatstink/fan

But yea thermodynamics are too complicated

Basically what im saying is that the "case" would be no more effective than just attaching the fan directly to the phones exterior without the case.
