My dream is that one day the developers will hear the voices of thousands of players who miss DUO mode just like I do. Players who simply want to enjoy the game the way it once was — two teammates, one goal, and endless moments of fun.

Maybe someday DUO mode will return. And when it does, the battlefield will feel like home again.

Played Delta Force when it launched and enjoyed the lotting system and the gunplay was ok but I hated the abilities. Stopped for two years and a friend introduced me to ABI. First game on Valley I died to a deagle to the head across map hahaha. ||I joined February the 7th (7th of march now)|| - I'm a Tarkov Veteran and instead of pulling my friend to it, I decided to tag along with him (he started S0). Every day has been full of doing duo's versus groups.
It's been extremely amusing to play this game compared to Tarkov, outside of the missing Proximity Chat everything is pretty rad and fun. The QoL, the ease of access, the looting experience and the fact that I don't have to spread my focus across too many mechanics.

I'm glad this game doesn't have a duo mode, fighting against other duo's and full squads as a duo is way more fun. It would take most duo's away as opponents if this mode was ever added.
Statistics: 100 Hours, 350 Raids, 50% exctract and 100M+ loot.

To guess my season; HK/U191 or go home.
Forgot to add I'm super glad that I didn't have to suffer from the red ammo drama. Since I joined late I mained Lockdown instead Forbidden, and there's not much time left for this season.
Also I LOVE THE EVENTS

Had just gotten off work one day, came home to my buddy playing ABI. Refuses to play it as i thought it was gonna be a replica of Tarkov with difficulty. He convinced me to give it a try since it was free, i loaded up claimed all my event stuff as well looked around figuring out the menu. After a couple raids i obtained a brass foal, and got my first few kills. Than i moved onto bigger and better things (getting slammed by 1bn+ loot value as a level 3). Thats when i decided to drop $200 on a sword in the coin raid to increase my luck odds, now im level 30 ratting on forbidden like a true pro. I ran all the horses my heart could fathom, lost them all. I finally got a kill on a guy who had gold horses and got my first red pegasus. Then the stallion wave released, i wanted it, i grinded TV until i got my hands on it, now im ehre for the chess set and delicious stew.

Started back in the days when we were able to use scopes and T7 together and if things turned to the worst we could just put it between our cheeks and run. When purple ammo and an AK-74N was still viable to play Normal. When the SH12 cost 12k instead of 50k. When we as a solo were able to easily 1v4 because people died with blacked out chests and self-revive wasn't part of even our wildest dreams, and we had to pay or use meds in the LOBBY to heal ourselves. At the time when someone who was going to a raid with a full mag of tier 4 ammo and not top loading counted as a chad. When the Mosin oneshot a player wearing a tier 4 armor with LPS rounds. When we could gear up with tier 4 armor, helmet with a mask and a decent weapon, all that for 200k to play the only 3 maps that existed back then. When we were promised to be a part of a hardcore, immersive military shooter game's journey but today we know that time will never come.

My story starts not with me sitting at the PC playing ABI, but the mobile game first, first when I found out that Arena Breakout Mobile exists I was so happy and excited to play it. Different game modes, a variety of weapons, skins, everything. Then I got my first PC in my life and the first thing I questioned was "Is there Arena Breakout for PC, that moment was so tense because if the mobile version was good then PC one would destroy my brain. I started looking and finally saw it on steam, it was planned to come out in September (the full version S3) I was so excited. I was waiting a couple months and playing a mobile version. And then in the fall I installed it.... I WAS SO IMPRESSED because of the graphics, game play, more guns and more modes, other item values BETTER TEXTURE, I wasn't expecting that level of details that this game and developers would give to the gamers, my favorite map is "Farm" not because you can avoid the fight, I actually really love PvP but because I feel like hope there, especially when you have that kind of mood there, sun is setting 10 minutes of the raid left and you are walking full of loot to the extraction point, it is so quiet that instead of gunshots you are hearing birds singing and slow gentle wind flowing to the unknown. I love this feeling, and I would give anything to feel it everyday. I don't care if I get the premium type stuff or the kind of reward from my story. I just want to share it so everyone can feel it and not focus on getting rich but feeling like home in your favorite map. And I want to give a huge THANK YOU to developers and everyone who makes this game better and better in every update. Thank you, and peace ✌🏻...

I basically learned the game living on Farm because it was the only map I knew like the back of my hand. Most raids were me running an M110 with level 3 ammo because I was permanently broke 💸

I still remember hitting jackets near Motel hoping for something good and the first time I found a gold cube I thought I’d just become rich

Later I found my first red item and realized my secure case was only 2 slots back then… so I literally hid in a bush for like 20 minutes because there was no way I was risking that run

(BOLIVIA) entonces tuve que instalar un archivo APK, al instalar el juego y entrar al menu por primera vez era tan ENERGIZANTE, y sentias miedo en todo momento y, el OST del inicio era tan motivador y tan inmersivo, y cuando entre por primera vez al tutorial con Joel fue algo revoltoso por que era demasiada informacion directamente tomada, pero era divertido, recuerdo que mi primera partida fue tan asquerosamente inmersiva y me daba tanto miedo sentir que en cualquier momento me podria perderlo todo, en esos tiempos tambien conoci a mucha gente con la misma sensacion, los comentarios que mas escuchaba eran comentarios sobre lo bueno que era este juego

las cajas fuertes o los jefes eran mi dopamina, claro ver un rojo era como encontrar diamantes en minecraft, y me sentia rico claro, pasaron las temporadas y conoci a muchas personas agradables, llegue a ser top en mi region aun que sea el top 170, pero lo logre!, me alegro mucho saber que me esforce por destacar en un juego que era realmente revolucionario me agradaba.., aun que no mentire, me tomo demasiado tiempo agarrar el valor de entrar a ARMERIA, mas cuando inicie era tomado como ir a perder, igualmente me encantaba sentir ese miedo, queria mejorar

Luego de algunas temporadas vi que todo lo que prometieron se iba decayendo, pero tenia fe en que podian mejorar!, aun que habian muchos bugs, problemas, y errores de conexion, tanta era mi impotencia que hice algunos comentarios en la seccion de play store.. y tal fue mi enojo que intente mandar un correo con todos los problemas que podrian arreglar pero nunca me hicieron caso, al paso del tiempo llegaron a banear a mi cuenta principal por supuesto uso de ''trampas'' aun que solo eran mis gatillos integrados en mi POCO F4 GT, algo que me dio tanta impotencia que yo sali de la rutina y deje el juego por un tiempo hasta que anunciaron AB Infinite. era como ver con nostalgia el juego que me gustaba denuevo, la primera vez que jugue AB infinite no fue en su lanzamiento lamentablemente por que tenia una PC con menos de lo requerido, pero cuando bajaron los requisitos pude entrar en el juego Haciendo OC a mi computadora con 3 Gb de VRAM integrados, pero sentir la misma sensacion del inicio fue demasiado reconfortante, ahora lo juego casi todos los dias con mi nueva computadora y juego con mis antiguos amigos que tenian la misma esperanza que este juego avanzaria lo mismo que antes!

creo que ya sabes desde que Season estoy desde el año que mencione, pero quisiera mandarle un mensaje a los desarrolladores, Sigan innovando y dandole reconocimiento a la comunidad!, asi como gente como yo que le da su tiempo y dedicacion al juego incluso despues de todos los problemas, intentamos recuperar las esperanzas en ustedes con cada lanzamiento, asi como la falsa alarma de el chat de proximidad en AB y asi mismo el problema de los Loot Trolls, incluso en mi epoca dorada hice un video con MITEK, y seguro el me recuerda en su video!

Honestly, I wasn't even looking for a new game when I found ABI. A clip just popped up on my feed during Season 3 and something about it caught my attention — the tension, the stakes, the fact that one bad decision and everything you're carrying is just gone.
I downloaded it, jumped in, and got cooked immediately. Lost everything my first couple runs. But I kept going back. The learning curve was real but that's what made it click for me — every extraction felt like you actually earned it.

I played tarkov hardcore back in the day. I reached level 72 two times over two wipes. I got kinda bored and quit playing. Fell out of gaming for a few years and started going to the gym. Ended up getting hurt at work and then getting a botched surgery to fix it. So I have been bed ridden for the last 3 years. Fair to say I needed to find entertainment. I ended up buying a 5090, 13900KS, and 4k 240hz OLED computer/minitor and dove back in. Started playing Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2, and Arc raiders. After a while I found myself craving a more hardcore and more serious game. I remembered how much I loved tarkov and how punishing it could be. I remembered how many cheaters there was and how it felt like they weren’t doing anything about it. I saw some video for abi and since it was free I downloaded it. Ever since that day I have been playing everyday all day. I have been telling my friend how much fun I was having. Well to my surprise, last week my best friend called me and asked if I wanted to go pick out his new pc and monitor. He ended up getting a 5090 and 4k 240hz OLED like mine. I was so excited. All I could think was that he would finally be able to download Abi and we could play it together. We played our first game together last night and we killed a 3 man and another duo together. We watched a scav sneak up and kill a player. We then found one of the new hotpot’s and set it up and ate it together after looting. We were laughing and saying how cool the hotpot was. It was that same feeling from when I was a kid. That endless joy and fun that I haven’t had in many years, it was brought back to my friend and I through this game. I have the battle pass and the premium package for the bigger safe bag. So I don’t technically need it, but I would love to win one for my friend! So he will have a bigger safe box and will have more fun right away and play more.

I always wanted to play an exciting extractionshooter but Tarkov was not only too expensive but also already a playground for Hackers and HATES casual gamers. Roughly 3 weeks after the Steam release I gave ABI a shot and have spent 750 hrs on it since. The main arguments for me trying ABI were that it is much more accomodating for Beginners, that there are no inventory wipes and hat Skins and such can be earned without spending money kept me motivated and the regular improvements keep the game enjoyable.
My bro who started with me sadly quit since then but I encountered a few really chill players from all over the world to play in teams with and perhaps visit irl someday 💯

my brother showed me this game and i didnt even start to play it it was just him who convinced me :DD basically i started when people were still arguing about whether its better than tarkov or not, its just a mobile game on pc, and when only 2 maps were available. Started looking for alternatives to Tarkov since me and some friends wanted to try an extraction shooter. I came across some videos on insta and I immediately started following it. I started during season 0 but had to cut it short because I decided to move to Linux and the kernel level anti cheat would not allow me to play using Proton. The beginning of last month I really wanted to enjoy ABI again and I decided to move back to windows for the sole purpose of playing again. Now I'm enjoying the game more than ever. I remember when it was just valley and farm and after that they added the closed off version of armory. It was really awesome and seeing the game Its state now brings me alot of joy. The trading system is great (although I think people should be forced to use it more early on than to just assemble their weapons from scratch. Also the loot seems to have gotten a slight bit better in the normal game modes. I used to only find toothpaste and what not lol. But yeah that's about it from me. The game is great and I can't wait to see more

He lets his guard down. Thermal doesn’t give you omniscient vision—you still need to know where you're going and clear the area you're moving into.
Killed him.
Heart starts pounding when I check the loot. My 2×2 case is still on me, though
Thermal is operational.
Honestly… it would’ve been easier if it wasn’t.

I scaled the wall to extract, running on one endurance injection as an energy boost and a couple of Hongyang energy drinks for pocket energy.
Made it out somehow.

Back in 2023, a mate of mine got invited to join some beta testing for a few games. He told me to apply for one because it was supposed to be like Tarkov but free. So we both applied, and a couple of months later we were accepted into the first closed beta rounds. The game felt different and refreshing, and I have been playing it ever since.

Back then there were only two maps, Valley and Farm. They were great, but when they released my favourite map, Armory, that was something else. I remember running around with a Glock with a 50 round magazine loaded with 7N31 dumdum rounds. I can still vividly remember killing my first moto player with it. At that time, getting more than a 5 million raid was considered crazy because the market was nothing like it is now. Everything is heavily inflated these days. I still have clips from those early days.

Overall, the game has really found its own identity. It moved away from strict realism toward a slightly more arcade style, and honestly that change was for the better.

One notable thing is how the developers have been listening to the community. I will say they have genuinely tried. There are still struggles with cheaters and game balancing, but compared to 2024, when cheating was worse and bans or compensation were almost nonexistent, things have improved a lot. Even this season feels like a big step up from the last.

I started playing when the game was consistently enjoyable as a solo, even if it was still against a full 4-man, and people didn't need to rely on T6 ammo.

When it felt more of a reward than an annoyance having to fight people, because they go down now if they have a teammate, instead of having to play more cautious not knowing if they did or not. Or when you land good shots on someone far away, but they end up having a self-revive, and are able to just crawl way, never to be seen again.

When you get a headshot on someone through their helmet/faceshield, or just to the head, even 100m+ out, knowing that 99% chance they die. Not being left on 1-5hp, and still taking two more headshots outside of the "effective range," all while in the same fight.

When the game had soul and cared less about trying to appeal to the majority, with a distinct vision of gameplay, and no flashy skins that look like they belong in a Ubisoft game.

The first time I saw this game I though "A free to play tarkov?". My first match in farm was a fresh experience for me, an extraction shooter with good graphics, optimized and I was 99% enjoyment instead of 99% pain. Nobody was going around with tier 6 armor or ammo with the same damage as a nuclear bomb, it was like everyone was just having fun in a game with a different style than usual.

This is my first ever extraction shooter after watching streamers play Tarkov for years, however I never ever wanted to purchase it. My irl friend's introduced me to this game in season 0 right after they finished the Beta Testing. I started playing a week after they started because I wasn't originally interested but then I became hooked. They all quit playing the game as soon as Small Armory was removed, (Season 1 Early Access) and I have been playing ever since until here in Season 4. I prefer to play the game solo and when I played with them, it just wasn't as fun and engaging when I played by myself because I got a better thrill and played my surroundings better. I also did not have to worry about reviving a teammate and being under pressure to help them, it was purely playing off of my game knowledge. Some of them tried coming back to play but still couldn't find the appeal in the game I guess. They only wanted to play with me and never on their own which I couldn't understand because that's probably the best way to have fun as well as learning better.

Everyone was still figuring things out, the market was pure chaos, and every raid felt like a coin flip between “big profit” and “back to the lobby in 3 minutes.” I learned very quickly that footsteps are terrifying, bushes are suspicious, and that the fastest way to lose a full kit is to finally bring one you actually like. Я купил шлем F80 и броню TM-2, собрал очень хороший FAL и зарядил M80 и пошёл на телецентр, а то надоела ферма и долина. Хотел купить патронов M61 на всякий случай, но они были слишком дорогие. Почти всю игру, я ходил, помогал тиммейту ( из автоподбора ), но его взорвали гранатой и он сказал мне убегать. С генеральных офисов до бесплатного сейфа возле библиотеки, я добрался очень быстро и решил его облутать. В сейфе оказалось Великолепие (мой первый красный предет, который я находил) и по команде союзника, я побежал на 1 и 3 тогдашних выходов - Главные ворота. 120 секунд, я сидел и боялся, что меня прибегут убивать, а когда вышел, то даже не смог закричать от радости, ведь играл в 4 утра 🙂

Honestly, I get tired of playing alone against two teams of four. Being stuck in a conflict between two teams when I really should have waited for one or two members of the enemy team to be killed is exhausting. But I'm too lazy to wait around doing nothing but looting, even though that's what the game is about. Another thing I don't like is the four-person matchmaking. It would be good if they changed that, at least to matchmaking for only two or three people. Usually, when I use matchmaking, they put me in a full team, and I don't like that much. But oh well, it's a game, and never, ever give up!

I saw my brother playing an online extraction shooter game a while back but rarely had the time to play with him until recently.

And I have been itching to play an FPS too.

So when ABI got released on Steam I was so hyped to play with my brother, so to surprise him that I installed right away and after getting out of the tutorial, I felt dread when I realised that I downloaded a different game from the one that he was playing but I had so much fun with ABI that I continued playing it until my brother noticed and left his game to join into ABI too.

And we've been playing together whenever our work shift isn't clashing.

And golly, he's more actively playing ABI than I am right now. 🤣👍

At first, I thought it was just another generic shooter, so I almost closed it immediately. But something made me launch it anyway. Best time I had in this game, was when i rushed small armory with a 4man squad. We all wore orange helmets and gasmask. We bombed the entire map with gas grenades. Everybody was coughing and trying to stay alife. Easiest lobby kills ever. Was very expensive to do though haha. Eventually people started to bring gasmask and it wasnt possible anymore.

Remember when armory was actually just the armory? no sunlight... no fresh crisp air.. just the smell of hot death caused by the most feared gun in ABI history.. newer players think its a myth... the OG players know.. we still have nightmares.. When I thought I was gonna be playing armory for the first time and it ended up being the event where it was only small armory. At first I hated it because I thought that was genuinely just the entirety of the Armory map and I was upset as I kept getting rushed by 4 mans who had tier 6 armor and hk's. My origin story begins with a solo que on Farm, wiping a 4 man team in Motel thinking that the game would be easy. I started playing ABI about 1 month after I started PC gaming. I grew up a console kid, had never played any sort of FPS in my life, but would troll my British friend in his stream everyday telling him he was playing all wrong. He talked me into joining one day, which I did just to troll him, collecting snacks and horse combs instead of anything of value. Then I jumped in a second time and got hooked. FF to present day and I have gone from casual watcher of a friend's stream to ABI streamer, as well as mod and admin for several ABI content creators and partners, sherpa and community game organizer. Even recently convinced my 72 year old mother to join him for a very comical few raids. All because I trolled my firend and told him he was wearing the wrong helmet.

Tarkov was in a really bad state, and my friend who played with me told me about this game and that some streamers were playing and you could get a key. So we watched and ended up downloading it and playing. We have it a few runs and it was incredible. The UI was insanely different, it showed your operator on the main screen with like 4 buttons on the bottom and your covert op character behind your operator. First game we played we were heading out with some gear, and ended up getting camped. Truly a fun experience😂

I started playing this game because i heard that if you are in t6 armor, you are basically unkillable and i am extremely averse to losing in any way shape or form. I didn't know about ammo that can pen t6 armor existing though, so i stopped playing when i got sniped from a guy hiding in a treeline i totally ignored. Now that the pesky ammo is being nerfed, i'll come back until someone kills me and i deem their method unfair!

Its very important to me that no one ever have any advantage over me, only i can have an advantage. If i experience any kind of disappointment, i plan on venting and whining all over every platform until i get my way, much like a toddler throwing a tantrum. Thats what makes games fun, and have longevity; caving to whiners like me!

When playing T3 bullet with starting weapons like AK-74N, SCAR-L feel good, not a toys. When SMG feel super deadly, when mid tier gun feel strong, and OP gun was actaully OP.
When strong gun can take down OP big guys and reward you.
When snipers don't feel like cripple but instead pushing against sniper was a thing in farm, not avoidant or try not to interact with them at all to the point of making it un-fun for both party.

I feel like the whole LD situation with ppl running T5/T6 Ammo and T6/T5 armor is way out of proportion. I'm just glad that when i started playing (Mid/Late S3) this wasn't the case for me trying to build up net worth and learn the game by playing lockdown. Worst i remember facing was a T5 helmet once in a while but mostly straight T4 gear
