You can’t 100% confirm just from the friend option, but what you described very likely were real players. Bots usually don’t:

move in coordinated teams like 2-man squads

use keys to open safes

carry high-value, well-organized loot

have searchable player IDs you can add

In Arena Breakout, bots tend to have simpler names, basic gear, and predictable behavior. If they were looting safes, had good gear, and you could search their profiles, that’s a strong sign they were real operators.

Plus, since you could search and add them, they had good loot, and used keys — all signs point to real operators, not bots.

Yeah, I feel you — the game doesn’t really give a clear “real player” indicator, so you kinda have to judge from clues. Usually signs someone’s a real player:

smart movement (peeking, repositioning, flanking)

coordinated pushes if they’re in a squad

mixed/high-tier gear builds

using keys, meds, tacticals properly

unpredictable reactions once spotted

Bots tend to move stiffly, push in straight lines, hesitate weirdly, or have basic kits or no backpacks.

no, they are much more difficult or better say "not so natural" as those first 60

• bring back 5 specific golden items 2 times each
• within first 8 mins of raid visit specific locations on maps
• 3x extract with encrypted file, so totally rng
• extract with 1,5m loot
  those I have visible, do not know what are other, but as I said - they are more difficult than first 60, I do not see any point doing them, just play the game with titanium case 😄

so far stuff ik is when enemies walk away from you, their sound "cuts off" once they are far enough

ABIH : you can sell anything to market as long as it doesnt have supply mark on it, for weapon you can sell them and put the setting sell under sum (your preference value mine is 15k) to sell it directly to contact. for anything above 15k will be put on the market for sale.

If you looking for what to loot is simply look at the item background, mostly purple is the best loot if you doing normal or lockdown above it like gold is also worth keeping exept Titanium Alloy, Sound Proof only bring it when you dont find other loot because it heavy and require 2x3 grid bag to bring, not worth the extraction

How does the consumables system work? Are they mandatory in all game situations?

ABIH : if you are new, yes its mandatory especially meds (to replace your HP) you need to bring 3 type of heal and 1 booster. Meds to fill your loss HP, bandage to treat injury and Surgical to fix broken limbs, then 1 booster like painkiller so you have temporary imune to injury effect

it would be very bad if you broke your leg during gun fight, thats why you need painkiller to temporary suppres the injuty effect

Yeah I get that. If you're trying to build up money, you can level up a bit and rat around on Airport/ Armory and loot everything.
It's kinda awkward when you start because you want to build up some funds... but then you're playing without the map knowledge of other players... and farm norms has no loot so... 😔

I find that for farm norms you don't really need to commit a full T4 kit unless you're coming in with the intention of killing everyone. 🤔
You can bring in an SH12 and it's a solid helmet (trade for it for a ~10k discount). You have good built-in audio, high ricochet, and it covers the ears.
Alternatively you can splurge on a KSS but mainly to pair it with a DK8 visor. Also you know it's T4 how bad.

You won't really notice the limitations on bad ARs in farm norms because everyone else (mainly quick kits) are also on bad ARs.
But if you want a good gun you can use an AK102 (buy the recoil pad) or the T951 - both are very cheap and very controllable.

Optimize your looting perhaps? Unpacking cheap mags and tossing the mags for example since ammo stacks to 60 rounds and for some sells at good values

Also you'll sometimes see stuff like 15k holos on a cheap 7.62x25 smg so if you take just the sight you can save space and not have to have the rest of the gun dragging down the value

Yeah for 762x54r has a craftable round called 7n37 and its tier 7. Other than much higher armor damage it basically allows for 1 shot headshot vs t6 at any range and 2 shot body shot at any range.
