Here's a slightly larger version of the new Quattro json. Some new additions, now up to 130 mods. Re-added CFP/EPE and all patches (even though they are not current). NOTE: if you are using SD2, you need to delete the characater_interaction_categories file, because it conflicts with Funguy and Divine Cheat mods and will cause a CTD when you right click on any portrait. Deleting it merely puts the interactions in the uncategorized column, it doesn't delete the interactions. ALSO, the last mod in my list is my modified version of Pantheon of the Gods Lite, and changes the character interaction categories (in that mod) to slots 19 and 20. If you're going to play with POG included, you can just manually change the numbers in the character_interaction_categories file to 19 and 20 so that they work with the cheat mods (which cover slots 0-18), but if you update or redownload it you'll have to make the change again.
#Gigantic Steam Collection for Elf Destiny+
1 messages · Page 2 of 1
hey, may i ask what changed in this list that fixed the naked characters?
structurally the list is very similar to Eastern Wanderer and i ran both the lists with the same mods removed , but the new one has fixed the issue but the old one still has naked chars
also atleast one mod in both this list is somehow disabling automated armies
Not sure about the naked folks. I did add the new updated EPE + CFP Patch (which just updated) and changed the LO a little bit. I wasn't getting nekkid folks in my game though.
for some reason the auto warfare is not available , i am using the quatro list with some mods such as withcraft removed
im a lil confused what is this quattro thingy, i thought it was just destiny, sappho and witchcraft? whats the diff between eastern wanderers and chapter quattro? what json do i use and is the steam collection still compatible?
Chapter IV is a DLC that hasn't been launched yet.
Quattro and Eastern wanderer are just names for his Mod List.
The latest json should be the one you use.
alright, thanks for the assistance, much appreciated
alright im still a lil confused
the latest list says 130 mods but when i import it
it only says 119?
am i doing something wrong
No
He has Local mods (he manually installed them)
Those don't count on the Json
That is why this is here
The ones with a little square symbil on the left are manually installed mods you would need to insert on those spots
FYI to all I'm done with my KCD2 obsession, and booting up another CK3 run. I'll post an updated modlist here in the next few days. The gigantic Steam list in Steam collections needs to be updated, and is really just a reference so you can see the mods I typically include in a playthru. Whatever JSON I post can be uploaded into your Paradox launcher, and it will automatically download any mods you don't already have and install them in the correct load order. It may be a little different due to the various mod updates, but the core list should be close to what it was before.
Me and the boys playing Wenceslaus IV in 1337 to later larp as Sigismund.
"OH yeah, it is big brain time"
Dürer diptych of Charlemagne and Sigismund, 1512, commissioned for the annual ceremonial display of the imperial regalia each Easter. Apparently no contemporaneous drawings or portraits of Charlemagne exist, so Dürer just imagined what Charles the Great would look like. Sigismund, on the other hand, is apparently based on other portraits.
Yep
For anyone interested, here's the updated JSON (a couple posts below). Had a couple or three random CTDs over 6 hours today, which IMHO is pretty par for the course with CK3. Game is a pig about CTDs. If you're going to use the whole list then you need to DELETE the character_interaction_categories folder from SD2 and Old Gods, and change the category numbers that file (i.e., 00_character_interaction_categories.txt) in Pantheon of the Gods Lite to 19 and 20. If you hate the witch_touched trait from SD2 then just delete it from the traits file (in common/traits -- delete all lines related to witch_0).
If you want to use CBO with the list, here's the load order. The CBO mods are at LL, just type in "CBO Unofficial" and Google will show you where to go. I've futzed around with this load order for the last six hours, I'm not getting any naked elves. Even the frizzy redhead chick has clothes in my game. And please note that I turned a bunch of Steam mods into local mods to get rid of the annoying yellow "this mod is out of date" triangle -- the Steam versions all still work though.
Lastly, if you are booting up a new game with this list, I understand Nihilist (author of SD2) is releasing a new Alpha of SD2 which massively changes the mod. Think she's shooting to release it tomorrow, and I have no idea whether it will break the list or not.
Does this link still work?
@Nocap, what link?
The one at the top
At the very beginning of this post? no
Nope
Yea that one
Don't use it
I deleted that collection. Collections are PITA to keep updated and since you can't actually download them in a proper load order because Steam is retarded they are IMHO pretty much worthless. Just use whatever JSON I post as the most recent, import it into the Paradox Launcher, and it will automatically download and install all the mods in my current modlist and put them in the proper load order.
This is the list I'm using as of today.
Did you know there is a limit to characters in a file name for ck3? If it passes a certain point it automatically crashes
Didn't know that. What files are causing CTD because of the name?
Agot has stupid long names on their Chinese loc
So if you have a title with 10+ characters for your modlist it will crumble
I cant download the Json it always says that the virus scan coudn't be done. Any suggestions?
doesn't work even in other browsers. I didn't had this problem before
I found a way to download the json
Step 1. Press Windows + R keys at the same time
Step 2. Type “regedit” and hit ok. Now you will get the registry editor window.
Step 3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >SOFTWARE >Microsoft >Windows >CurrentVersion >Policies >Attachments by expanding the folder tree.
Step 4. Now double-click on the “ScanWithAntivirus” registry key and change its value to “1” which is by default “3“. Changing the key value to “1” actually, instruct the browser not to scan the downloaded program or files.
great set, would recommend using irony over paradox as paradox does not like the list at all lol
+1 totally agree. Import into Paradox Launcher to make it download the mods and put them in the proper load order, then export the list to Irony to merge the list and you're golden. 99% faster load times guaranteed. Still crashes on load sometimes (like, e.g. 3 times in a row) but just ignore that and reload, as the CTD on load is a PDX issue and has nothing to do with load order or a bad modlist.
FYI for everyone using the list, if the Regula council doesn't show up, drag it down to just above the cheat mods, and then it will absolutely show up. If you hate the eye changes to the regula chicks, just change the game rules to make sure they are turned off.
Thats the smut mod right?
One of
Regula? That's the mod that lets your toon become the Magister and mind control all females. Lets you have 999 wives and 999 concubines. All wearing skimpy clothing if you so desire. Solves the problem of elves dying out if you are the Realm Lord and your heir becomes the Magister and has thousands of children.
That certainly is a method lol
are any dlcs required for this modlist?
@potato0 I'm not 100% sure you need all of the DLCs to run the whole list. You likely don't need any of the clothing DLCs, as they are just cosmetic, but some to the others change the map, like e.g., today's Khans of the Steppes and Roads to Power. And I'm guessing that when the list is updated by modders for 1.16 and nomads, many of them won't be backward-compatible because PDX changed a lot of the mechanics with this release. So the latest DLC is probably a requirement as well.
i see ty!
FYI this is the latest Gigantic modlist. Merges fine with ED (and all CBO mods) now. If you use the cheat mods at the end you need to make one minor edit so that the skull shows up. Open up "DI_button.gui" in Notepad or the text editor of your choice.
On line 6 is: "position = { 35 -275 }"
Change it to: "position = { -1 -275 }"
Save, and the button should show up the next time you launch the game.
What fixed the crash?
Not sure. Csirke128 updated CFP CBO Mesh yesterday, so I switched from the all-in-one CFP CBO Patch to CFP CBO Base + CFP CBP Animation + CFP CBO Mesh, added a bunch of other mods, and then on a whim decided to try to merge them all again, and it's working. Just played 6 hours without a single CTD with this list, so it's pretty damn stable. Now going for the "nomads raze Byzantium and Rome and move to destroy all of Europe" playthru. Took a bunch of elves as concubines along the way -- all of the ones in the elf realm in the Steppes -- so it will eventually be an elven dynasty. Pretty fun destroying and pillaging everything, and the little horses running on the map when you go to war is just epically cool. Am on my way to kill the Pope now.
Screenshots of Carnalitas and CBO mod load order please
You can run agot with elf destiny?
i was wondering if you have a modlist with princes of darkness included
no
Asked because i see AGOT vanilla cbo and ED in the same list
The AGOT Vanilla CBO patch brings all the AGOT clothing, crowns and hair into the vanilla game.
You can't run ED with AGOT yet. East mentioned a while ago that he was thinking of doing an AGOT patch though, so fingers crossed sometime soon you can be a dragonriding elf.
Sorry, no, I don't have a POD modlist. When I do another POD run I'll post one, though from past experience the modlist will be much smaller (under 100 mods for sure) just because POD changes so about the game.
Ohh wow what a hack
Def doing that whenever I play ED again
Prob will play that again by time i ever get to AGOT. Everytime the submods almost catch up the main mod updates
i see thanks!
Here you go. If you are going to use the cheat mods at the end of the list you will need to delete the character_interaction_catetgories folder in PoD. The interactions don't disappear, just get moved to the "uncategorized" section of the dropdown menu in-game.
Hello, first of all, love your collection, but there is 1 thing that i find kinda weird, don't know if it's a bug or not
The thing is the norse character can only recruit their tradition MAA but not the normal one.
i have tried some other culture but only norse have problem. Don't know if it's intended or not
Note that i kinda not using all of the mod in the list but only half of them because i on a low-end pc right now
Not sure why that would be the case. I usually start as norse and have the vanilla light cavalry and light footman options available -- though I don't really use them because I'd rather have bondi and vigmen and huscarls, since that seems much more authentic to me than using generic MAA. After you become Realm Lord and do some expeditions you should have some elven troops available (e.g., Wolf Riders etc) depending on what you discover during the expeditions.
I found out that disable the mod "rurik: chronica slavorum" and the problem go away. Maybe there is a incompatible with other culture alter mod like RICE. Will tried enable again when RICE update
i'm getting a launcher crash when scrolling through the playset mod list, does anyone know what the mod causing this is? i'm guessing it's something that's been removed from workshop
don't know how to remove it from the playset even if i find it
Never had that happen. Did you try downloading Irony Mod Manager?
no i've never heard of that, i've always just used the launcher
It's a random problem with PDX (happens in CK3 and Stellaris). Happened to me over the weekend as well. Unfortunately, the only solution that really works is to unsubscribe from all mods, uninstall CK3, delete all Steam documents remaining that mention CK3, and delete the CK3 folder inside of Documents as well. Then go to Steam settings and clear your download cache. After that, of course, you have to reinstall CK3 and all the mods. It's a bloody PITA. I'll be uploading another list here in about 10 minutes that I'm in the final tweaking stages of. Just import that JSON into the PDX launcher after you reinstall, and you should be up and running shortly.
good god that sounds like absolute hell
Three hours of pure annoyance because no one's figured out how to make CK3 work with Mod Organizer 2, so we're stuck with the terrible PDX launcher. Can mitigate the problem by exporting a working modlist to Irony Mod Manager, then merging it, and the merge will be fixed for all time and not affected by mod updates. Gets rid of the scrolling CTD entirely since you just have a single merged mod.
what's the mod that hides congenital traits until a child is older?
It's always impressive that games that rely on mods (Ck3, skyrim, etc.) can have such terrible, terrible mod managers
mo2's not so bad really
perhaps it's just a case as you become more familiar with one, the rest start to baffle you
Ah, I meant mod managers made by the game creators, MO2 is great, Irony is useful but the default mod launchers are terrible
ah i see now, you're quite right XD
at least the pdx launcher is far superior to the ck2 one, those were the halycon days of nightmare
Inherichance I think?
i don't think that's in this list?
i removed a couple of the mods that added changes and new congenital traits and it stopped happening so i guess it was whatever i removed lol
Since I have come to totally rely on your mod lists/json for non total conversion, any possiblity of seeing that json?
Any a new json , gentlemen ?
Is the last json I posted on 5/4 not working now after the latest patches by PDX? Let me know if there are any issues and I'll see if they are fixable. I have to do a clean reinstall of CK3 and see if anything in the last json got broken by the 1.16.2.1 and 1.16.2.2 updates, so it's going to be minute for me to get a new comprehensive list up, esp. since we had some large mod updates (e.g. the new COW3 is basically a total rewrite of the mod).
i mean it's working fine for me, tho i did remove dark ages and add some other stuff
for one thing the regula magistri should be moved down because the regula council didn't show up. And I don't know why but the new nomad UI button and the nomad capital didn't show up for some nomad characters
sounds like something overwriting the gui
yep, sound like it, but I dont know which mod
i think really the only way you'd be able to check would be to do a search in the base workshop folder for every instance of the gui files
Correct
Al of these GUI mods overwrite each other
it is a pain to make a compatch
Does anyone know why I suddenly have Pyramids all over the World? The Holdings look like Pyramids but aren't.
Is it possible to add "Voices of the Court" and "Ethnicities & Portraits Expanded" to the mod list?
Any clue what this is?
do you know what file would overwrite this?
most likely hud.gui
since you mentioned regula magistri, maybe start there. sounds like its hud.gui needs to be fixed
regula magistri doesn't have hud.gui
the ones that have those are sappo's which are not active, gambo super compatch, which are not active, unooficial patch, again not active. flogi, again not active. veritas, not active, and prisoner of war, again not active
and strangely this only effect nomad counts.
They should both work just fine. VOTC has always worked with the list, I just never added it publically because it requires people pay $5 for the AI system. EPE just updated a couple days ago, and apparently will break saves if you add it midgame. You'll need whatever EPE patches are updated as well.
What is votc?
Voices of the Court -- adds dialogue interactions through AI. Pretty cool.
Hmm its through patreon?
No, VOTC is on the Steam workshop and Nexus, and the description page has a link (free) to the download for the application that runs in the background. That application requires a subscription to some type of paid AI service. From recollection, you have to pay for a minimum of $5 for usage, and how soon you use up those credits depends on how frequently you use VOTC in-game.
does anyone know from where the minus multiplier for income from held titles come which mod? I have minus multiplier such as "held counties -27%" "held duchies -5%". I forgot from where this comes from
Maybe dark ages?
nope. dark ages dev confirm it's not from that. after removing several mod and adding new one. I'm convinced it was gpt flavor pack. it's the only balance mod that I don't know the full content of changes in it.
oh and gpt flavor pack is not balanced well with ED either, specifically the senility that reduces max domain and vassal opinion as you age. really doen't do well with long lived elf or any immortal mod
I'm probably going to drop it until gpt flavor pack lite get updated
Caravaggio, can you make a mod list of AGOT + Carnalitas mods?
Can you see if this list still works for AGOT? It's what I was using on my last AGOT run in late April 2025. Doesn't have the CBO mods and I'll have to check with csirke to see what he's updated.
I've been scrolling through this trying to find the link, how do I find it?
It's the "down" arrow in the post above yours. That gives you the JSON list of all the mods, and then you just import it into the standard game launcher. To import, click the search box in the launcher and one of the options is "import playset".
Here's my current base CK3 modlist. Roughly 160 mods if you don't use CBO. Just FYI you need Carnalitas to play with Regula in the list. Doesn't include EPE because the CFP-EPE patch is still not up to date.
Is the collection deleted? I get an error when I try to open it
If you mean the Steam collection from last year, I'll check but I'm not maintaining it, I was just leaving it up for a reference so folks could see pictures of the mods I commonly use. If you download the JSON (above) and import it into the Steam launcher, it will automatically download all the mods you are missing and put them in the proper load order (as called out in the JSON), so you don't need the collection to play the list. But just FYI the JSON does not follow the Collection at all, it just contains some of the mods in it.
It's still up on Steam collections here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3292105142
hey thanks man, I tried starting a playthrough with this and was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff going on, I've seen mention of you having a reduced modlist somewhere? I'm thinking I just need Elf Destiny + QOL for now
Here's a skinny version with just 100 mods in it. Let me know if you have issues, it's a bit dated but all the mods should still be working (even if they have the silly yellow triangle).
Hi there, I've been trying to run your 160 mod collection, and it crashes every time I right click on my character, not anyone elses, just mine. Have you had this issue, and if so, how did you fix it?
this one
nvm found it. It was pantheon lite
Yeah, if you use Pantheon of the Gods lite with DICM and Fungaming's cheat mods, plus the patch for those, then you need to open up the character_interaction_categories file in Pantheon Lite and change the numbers to 20 and 21 (I think they are 14 and 15 originallY) That moves them after the last categories from the other mods, and gets rid of the conflict. Apologies for the confusion, the instructions are buried in this thread somewhere.
no worries! It's a modpack, that I've stolen from you, and read no instructions, if it worked flawlessly it would be a miracle, only one mod needing stuff done to it is insane. Thanks for getting back to me though
Place Carnalitas, CBO, below AGOT submods like "Mari's AGOT Makeovers" or above?
I haven't used Mari's AGOT Makeovers, and it does change the DNA, but then again so does EPE in vanilla. So I'd put Carnalitas and CBO and the CBO AGOT patch below. If they come out looking funny dragt Mari's below and see if that works.
"I haven't used Mari's AGOT Makeovers" That mod was in that JSON load order file.
The maximum skill level is capped at 25 , is this intended or is it a bug?
I see that this was intended done for the balance by the Dark Ages mod
Are there any mods that needs/should be downloaded manually? Like carnalties?
All of the ones with CBO on the name
The attached is the current list, working perfectly. If you're going to use all the cheat mods including Pantheon of the Gods Lite, you need to change the numbers in the Pantheon character_interaction_categories file to 20 and 21 or you'll CTD on right click. Also delete the character_interaction_categories file from ED (the interactions will still appear in "uncategorized" in the drop-down menu for your character). Lastly, if you use Sappho's Daughter 2, delete any character_interaction_categories file that the mod author (Nihilist) added, and also delete the Witch_0 trait from traits, as it conflicts with the Witch trait from Witchcraft. For the CBO mods, you'll need to download them from LL.
Here's the current list I'm using, no longer gigantic, as I've winnowed it down to about 85 mods. Seems to prevent the disappearing artifact bug that I've been getting in every game (i.e., where all the artifact icons become invisible). Doesn't include EPE, RICE, Sappho's Daughter 2, as they aren't updated for 1.18 yet.
Thank you for this!
do you have a carnalitas/CBO mod list?
For Carnalitas/CBO, I place them just above Elf Destiny, and am only using (in this order) Carnalitas, CBO Unofficial, CBO CFP patch, Better Barbershop, then the Better Barbershop CBO patch.
Curious if its just a lack of modding exp - using the JSON above I get hella ctd's mainly if I attempt to open the provinces menu for any admin govt. Is there any file tweaks I am meant to do first? TIA! eager to learn how to do all this properly but dont wanna kill it for good lol
Hmmm, that doesn't happen for me. Attached is a smaller list (under 100) that I just started using a couple days ago. Gets rid of the "disappearing" or "blank" artifact but that randomly occurs, apparently if you have too many mods. The only tweak you need to do with this list is to delete the character_interaction_categories file from both Elf Destiny and Old Gods Expanded, as they conflict with the Divine Intervention Cheat Mod and Fungaming's cheat mod (and the patch for those). Don't worry, the interactions will still be there, they'll just be in the uncategorized section of character interactions. If you don't do this, the game will CTD when you right-click on any portrait. Let me know if this list solves your issues.
Hey thanks 🙂 I appreciate it! I will give this a bash and see how it goes!
I still have the same crash unfortunately tested in both Japan and China - so im not sure if its the mechanics from those areas as well?
The culprit is either upgrade house banners 2 or custom nickname or COA rally points... And honestly I don't want to restart the game another three tiems to figure out which one soooo
Hahahah thats fair, i can play around with that - thanks for the heads up!
thought id chuck an update out there incase others experience this - i removed all three - no issues with admin realms (not tried japan/china yet) having some legends issues but i never use them so its all g
Someone asked me to post a small list, which was much harder than I thought it would be. I usually play with 130-150 mods, so winnowing down to the top 50 was a pain. It's called Fifty because that's how many mods I'm playing with, but if you're not a Carnalitas/CBO/Regula etc. fan then it's only 35 mods. Runs peachy, and after days of futzing around this seems to completely avoid the new "disappearing artifact" bug (where all your artifact icons are blank) that is almost unavoidable in any modded playthru since 1.18 dropped. Anything over about 54 mods and the artifacts are simply blank at game start, and if you add RICE (the Beta on Github), you're going to have to stay under 40 mods. If you're only adding simple mods (e.g., the "no balding" mod) you might be able to push the mod count higher, but since my core mods are complex (i.e., Elf Destiny, Atlantis, Witchcraft, Regula Magistri, Age of Dragons, Road of God, Old Gods Expanded, and a bunch of add on mods adding new tradition icons), this is as many as I can run. Can't deal with missing artifacts, makes my OCD run around screaming.
i feel that lol
Hello friends, just using the JSON on the paradox launcher returns "Error unknown from steam". Any ideas?
I just dragged it from my desktop to the Import Playlist miniscreen in the Paradox launcher and it's working just fine for me. I'll upload it again below, maybe it uploaded funny the first time.
Dear mighty modder sir, might I see your mod order list now that RICE is updated for AUH?
My list uses
RiCE
ViET
CFP
CE
CBO
EPE
All the OneProudBrazilian mods
@wraith blade it's going to be a while until I put a big list together for AUH. I haven't added RICE, CE or EPE back in yet, as I'm waiting for the devs to fix the "missing artifact" bug they introduced with AUH, and for updated patches for RICE, CE and EPE (as well as the CBO multipatches). Hopefully by January that will all get sorted out.
Fun fact it should be already fixed
The issue was the maximum index was a 16 bit integer, so there was a limit of modifiers, flags and alike that the game could support. It was a ticking time bomb, as the devs had to optimize everything as they reached the limit
Threatening to pause all the development as it is a game breaking limitation
As the numbers mount past the limit they will not only make artifacts dissappear, but also corrupt your save!
Luckily, pdx was merciful and improved the limit from 60k+ to a 32-bit (billions) in 1.18.2
So the issue should be fixed!
Would love an AUH update to this list!
This is working for me as of this morning. I've got a bunch of local mods in addition to these, hence the "101" reference. Without them, it's 82 mods. If you use CBO, the CFP+EPE+ED CBO patch is working. Lastly, you need to delete the character_interaction_categories from both Elf Destiny and Old Gods Expanded (you'll still have the interactions, they'll just be uncategorized) AND if you use Pantheon of the Gods with the other cheat mods listed, you need to change the category numbers to 20 and 21 so there's no conflict. Otherwise, you'll CTD on right clicking any character.
Try the list I just posted. If you use CBO mods, place Carnalitas above ED, all the CBO mods below ED. Better Barbershop and its CBO patch also go below ED. If you use Regula Magistri, place above ED. If you want to add more mods, it's definitely doable now that PDX has fixed the artifact bug, but this is a pretty solid list. @Generalissimo might have some ideas about additional mods to improve the list.
i realised putting Carnalitas above ED would disable the extra council tab from being shown
Really? What extra council tab are you referring to? There's a whole extra council for Regula Magistri, but I didn't know there was another one.
Which is one of the coolest things I’ve seen from RM2. When I finally freed the keeper and I saw that second council tab, I went “holy shit I want to do this in my own mod for the Atlantean government”.
theres a tab in the council page. you get a bunch of 6 other councillors with powers that really let you spread
Too bad I always come too late to start a playthrough with these lists. Never end up working
ok so quick update of sorts. you can't really use RM together with ED as whichever overwrites the other will impact the councillors. i had RM dominant and the red sister was completely disabled (the usual councillor slot is empty). putting ED dominant would disable the extra RM councillor positions.
if you ignore the RM council it would still be fine. the fascinare mechanics still work. just not much point having tonnes of slaves
You can probably make a compatibility patch for them both
You just need to take the files they overwrite and combine them, literally.
I seem to recall someone made a patch, but they never posted it as a mod in the Workshop or on Nexus. And I can't remember if they posted the patch on Discord or not.
I seem to have a Problem when I use the Rurik mod. Maybe its on me I dont know.
Does anyone have the load order
I wasnt aware this modlist was still being maintained.
I haven't been playing CK3 for the last six months or so, and thus haven't been maintaining any of the various modlists I formerly posted. Likely, none of them work with the latest updates and new DLC. I'm getting the new DLC today and will be rebuilding the modlist shortly, and will post it here when I get a working modlist.
The attached JSON works. It's about 100 mods, including Witchcraft, Elf Destiny, Medieval Matriarchs, and some other goodies. My personal version also has CBO and Regula Magistri, which are both updated (and don't need a patch for ED). About an hour into a new playthru and no problems so far. Just FYI it loads like a pig even on a good rig, so just use the simple merge function with Irony Mod Manager -- it cuts initial load time to less than a minute.
@craggy saffron Regula and CBO don't need a patch for ED?? Do all the characters in your game looks okay and are wearing clothes?
I'm trying to get my tiny order going with cbo and...ahh I think my problem is epe
No, they work fine without them. You lose elf ears if you load CBO below ED, that's about the only issue I've come across. Regula has never needed a patch, just has to be loaded below Carnalitas.
Hey man thanks for the thread, hopping back into CK3 for the first time since 1.19... where are you dropping CBO/Carn in relation to ED? Can't get it to run without everyone looking like skeletor when clothed. More or less narrowed it down to ED, wanted to see where you were at
@Blu, I've changed it around a bit (see attached screenshots) from how I used to have it, the format now works perfectly. No fugly skeletors happening in barbershop. Attaching my current playset JSON as well -- I'm 30 years into the game and it works crash-free. Make sure to delete the character_interaction_categories folder from Elf Destiny and Old God Expanded if you're using the cheat mods (Divine Intervention + Fungaming + the patch) or else you'll crash. Alternatively, if you know your way around the folders, you can change the numbering in the .txt file in ED to 20, and in OGE to 21. If you leave the files as they are and don't delete or modify them using my whole list, you'll CTD at startup. Lastly, if you use the whole list your game is going to load like a pig, even on a good gaming rig. Use Irony Mod Manager to do a simple merge of the entire list, and it reduces load time on game start to about a minute. Just FYI if the game crashes after you merge, just reload the merge until it starts -- it usually crashes the first time, loads the second time, or the third at worst). After the first time the merge loads, it should load no problem every time.
Map conflicts are inherently troublesome to deal with. In short, if Gambo's patch alters the png file at all, or changes the order of baronies as assigned in the map files, or just changes the baronies as assigned in title history, then ED (which also fiddles with title history), will get fucked up, and that goes for all mods that fuck with title history or the map. It's why Rajas of Asia required a compatch for literally every mod ever that touched title history, baronies, and map assignment. Because it was a significant alteration to the map.
But even a mod like the new Camelot mod that's out and about? It requires compatches. Miller's Cylindrical Projection also requires compatches.
But here's one that might surprise you. Medieval Arts. It requires compatches because it alters the locator files that other mods that might mess with the map also mess with.
For those who aren't fans of the vanilla artwork for traditions (e.g., tenets), attached is the artwork I'm using. Base artwork is from I Am Full True's old Legacy Traditions (which has his old artwork), and I added 50+ new icons for the various tenets. If you use any mod that adds new traditions but points to vanilla art, or just don't like the art they use, you can swap these icons in plug-and-play. It's easy, you just have to rename the chosen icons (e.g., in common/culture/traditions/nameoffile.txt) to point to whichever icon you like. Just swap out the name of the dds after the "4 = name of dds file" -- takes literally 5 minutes. NOTE: you have to change the file path in the .mod file to insert your own user name.
