Title says it all. Certain weapons make them way harder to kill than boss monsters which seems pretty unreasonable.

Try killing a barrel mimic with a polearm. Not only do the horizontal sweeps bounce off every time, if there's not decent distance between you and the barrel, aiming at is "head" doesn't even matter, you just bounce, even the vertical chop down bounces off and stuns you too.
Doing damage with that weapon is almost impossible. I'm sure certain other weapons suck against it too.

Also, a normal mob dealing 200 damage in nm, and poison damage is obviously not balanced
A normal enemy shouldn't deal more damage than the troll boss in NM

Barrel mimics have no business being as hard to beat as they are, but knowing their attack patterns helps. After you get in the first hit (or walk close enough to wake it up), try to move diagonally away from it to avoid the long tongue whack, then get a bit closer. Its next attack is always a close two punches though, so watch out for that. Hitting the base does nothing for the most part, only go for the pink gross bits.

I do find them to be too hard as well. At least for some classes/weapons. Any weapon thats attack pattern starts with hitting the barrel is helpless against them.

Is there any normal mob for any class that is harder than barrel mimics? Or is it harder than every other normal mob for every single class? I think it probably is.

Even basic goblin warriors are annoying when the spears first attack almost always hits their shield and staggers you
