The problem with things like frost touch is the RNG.
Too much RNG in competitive games is rarely a good thing. The winner of a fight should never be based on luck and currently it sometimes is.
Getting back to back frozen is not skill and it feels horrible for the person being frozen as there is nothing you can do about it.
To anyone who says “just don’t get hit” that’s not how the game works. Some classes (cleric) are built around the idea you need to be hit as your skills don’t have dodges, they have absorbs.
Losing a fight because you can’t trade blows without risking maybe being frozen and just having to hope you don’t sucks.
This just needs removed from the game or replaced with a slow only.
You know you can grind for it too

See that isn't the issue with it. The issue is it introduces RNG into a mechanical PvP game where skill should take priority. My issue with freeze is just that its the most annoying to deal with right now, however don't be mistaken. I have a problem with all RNG abilities like bleed and poison.
These soulstones should be every x amount of hits and not based on luck. That way the winner is who landed more shots not who hit a lucky 20% 5 times in a row
Right now its becoming more obvious to players with it im sure, but at some point you will get into a fight and you will lose because you won't get a single freeze to proc and your opponent will get multiple. If it's barb vs barb the first trade you do, you get frozen and killed, its going to feel like shit.
A lot of people using freeze probably don't outright want to complain about it because they are using it, but once everyone has one here in a few weeks, the end of the season is going to be an RNG fest and rogues are going to dominate with it and backstab.
I'll also note that bleed and poison also feel less bad because there is an active counter to them. You can simply just bring a full row of shield potions mixed with health potions and bandages. There are mechanics to cleanse yourself of these as well.
Freeze does not have any way to break out of it. There is no hard CC break ability. If everyone got a skill that allowed you to break out of and become immune to CC for 5 seconds or so, this would feel a lot less bad as you could stratigically decide to break the CC to avoid a big hit or when you absolutely need to avoid being CCed so you can heal.
