Since I have yet to see this be taken seriously in any capacity by either the support staff of Krafton, the staff on this discord, and/or the community at large who chooses instead to ridicule me for supporting the game. I'm posting this for those the competent few of you who read this.

LINKING YOUR GUEST ACCOUNT TO DICORD ACCOUNT WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR ACCOUNT.

I've lost all of my progress, the account exists but I have no way to log back in as doing so made an entirely new Krafton ID. The game bugged out and resulted in my needing to reinstall it. After logging into my account I was greeted with the new character creation screen.

SO I reached out to Krafton support through an email based ticket system for help which has been the most frustrating, and be-litting fucking experience I've ever had with a games customer support staff. 3 Times I've been told the issue has been escilated only to receive no follow up and for the ticket to be closed without response. I have screenshots and transcripts from the entire conversation if you're interested but here's the

TLDR: Do not expect to be helped if you lose access to your account, they've admitted this is a large scale issue but have not acknowledged it publicly. I don't know if any work is actually being done to fix the issue of failed account links as they just keep closing players tickets. All of your time based progress, season limited rewards, payments mean nothing if they can't even help you log back into an account. So good luck! 😡

Atleast so much resets next week so you can begin fresh with everyone if you do reset.

I do not know, I linked my account with discord after initially having a guest account, but when logging back in after the reinstall it did not load my information. Furthermore, I find it pointless to start fresh when between collections, many many hours of grinding for ranked capes, and many more still grinding for all of the other cosmetic items I will lose all thay time and effort. I value my time too much to waste it on a game whose staff won't fix an issue like this or treat its community with dignity.

I am a Day 1, I planned to grind out crown this wipe but that's been made impossible and even if they resolve this issue I don't think they're going to be able to make up for how inconvenient this has all been.

It would be a shame to lose a dedicated player on a technicality! Try to change perspective: I’m sure they would if they could! Especially you have been in contact with them. It is probably a technical issue, and just giving an account back/ could be giving an account away if you were not the true owner 🤷‍♂️. Stick with it, and remember we are still in preseason. There are bound to be bugs.

They even openly admitted this is a recurring issue, and that was still the response i recieved. This goes far past a technicality

Maybe be smart and store your account login details.... Smh, how tf does some just forget thier passwords???

or... just sign up to Krafton with an Apple or Google account so that if you do somehow forget your login details, you have bigger problems on your hands

Yall are both stupid, forgetting credentials is not the freaking issue, The account did not bind the way it should have. READ THE DAMN MESSAGE

It sounds like you had a guest account and then made an actual account that overode it when you linked it to discord. The nature of guest accounts means its probably lost. I doubt there's anything they can do as the data for the account wouldnt have been tied to anything permanent aside from the device ID.

A technical issue… it’s a shame we lost someone who enjoys the game probably due to the error when creating the account. Hopefully the reset helps him feel less lost and he restarts!

It only takes a 1/2 season to get all those collections to 4*

Why would anybody that has ever played a game make a guest account? Either Apple, Google, or make an account on the company website.

The issue of it not being linked properly did not appear untill i had to reinstall the game and siggn back in

They have a system for linking guest accounts to another source after creation, that function is what failed

It was linked to my Discord login 2 weeks after I made the account. This is over a month of use with it linked to discord

Then krafton failed by even letting you link the account. Guest accounts are inherently temporary and device-dependent. Being that you lost access after you reinstalled I'd assume the account was stored locally on your device and not on their backend. When you reinstalled you effectively deleted the account wholesale. They wouldnt have anything to work with to bring it back because all that data is now gone.

Which sucks if you invested money into it. I'd caution to never spend money on a guest account

The issue is that the linking process when merging a guest account does not always work, and they have not made this informstion public which means it will happen to more players

Apologies, I wasn't specific in terms. I mean that the key for the login was likely in your local cache. You would of lost that key when you uninstalled and you never gave krafton an address to ship a new to key too so now your locked out. I imagine they dont hold onto guest accounts either.

Thats the whole point of linking your guest account after creation, i know how registry keys work dude. On their end they can transfer a registry key from one account to another, it's not the easiest if they did not have the forethought to build a system around this but its very doable. Furthermore they're responsible for the system being non functional in the first place, they should take responsibilty for that. Enough said.
