Currently getting a little tired of hard but not willing to risk rank on "practice" against the troll.

Loot means nothing, rather I value the time spent getting rank up, but with no way to practice the incentive is safely farming hard runs up through gold.

Because there isn't a place to accommodate the transition into higher risk runs with confidence I feel like the game rewards me more for running support gear in hard to farm up rank and collect thousands of silver end of season.

I feel like the solution to progression in the game is making two characters of the same class. One for progression and one for practice which I dont believe to be the intended experience.

Since there is support gear to aid in gear fear, why isn't there unranked solo for the players who want a clearer progression path aside from knowing you are going to be throwing away progression multiple times for "practice"

What kind of progression do you think there is in this game? You go in get stuff and use that stuff to defend yourself and then escape. That is the entire progression of the game.
