this bug has made is impossible to play festival i get kicked from 98% of my matches and i not sure what causes it
im on pc, games running on my ssd, with all streaming assets downloaded so it shouldn't be a streaming issue yet here we are

i have all the assets downloaded so this shouldn't be a streaming error but i also have been having problems with jam tracks in general not working in the item shop and in br the cars won't load the radio

we had this same issues back in chapter 2

Check your NAT settings/router. You should want Open NAT or NAT Type 1 if possible.

ok quick update

festival works perfectly fine on my laptop

but on my main gaming pc it refuses to work half the time

still getting this error

i had a feeling it might've been not loading the songs in time for the server to communicate so i tried pre loading them in the song select menu to cache them and that sorta seems to work a little

another person also suggested that maybe it might only happen to songs i don't yet own

but i disproved that by trying a song i purchased from the item shop

I'm pretty sure the songs are streamed not downloaded to your computer, so potentially network congestion or transient bandwidth issues

Plus I don't think it would be bandwidth issues because it works fine on my laptop on the same connection on my Lan switch

do you have other programs like browsers/spotify open at the same time on your main pc? that could do the trick

This is happening currently to me and my friends as well we can’t play as a band at all kicks us. One is on pc , I’m on ps5 and the other on Xbox. Kicks us out before song starts and then shows that error and kicks us from the party and we have to restart Fortnite

If it working on your laptop and not on your desktop, it sounds like a legitimate network issue. Try with any windows firewalls off and Fortnite at high priority on any routers and see if it still happens.

I have the same issue, media streaming error, on pc. Im missing out on a ton of xp that I'd love to be earning

Jam works fine as does every other fn game mode, just festival

well no because the songs arent tied to game updates

#

so really the only way to do it

unless you want to update your game everytime a new song comes out
