also that is a dumb reason to downvote my suggestion, but to your credit at least you gave a reason why you downvoted instead of just downvoting without any elaboration, leading me to assume the downvote was just out of an unjustified hatred of me
I downvoted cuz I dont want it to be like mc where once u get the best tools you keep them for the rest of time
Keeping the same weapons forever isnt fun to me
Just like constantly having to remake or find new tools isn't fun for others, personally I think this would be a great idea
Everyone has there own opinion
you have the option of not using these runes
nobody's forcing you to use them
don't ruin other people's fun just because it's not your idea of fun
and personally I'd rather not have to go through all the effort of getting a legendary weapon or tool just to have to do it again when it inevitably breaks, I want a way to repair that weapon or tool that took so much effort to make
if you don't like that then as I said: nobody is forcing you to repair your tools, if you want them to break then so be it, but don't try to deny us the ability to do so
there's a reason why I use the Lightsabers over the normal swords: so I don't have to worry about replacing my weapon when it "breaks"
Its a survival game. If the tools are breaking in sandbox then they have done it wrong.
Breaking/upgrading/crafting tools are one of the basic for a survival game.
So Is dying, but you can disable dying as well, as well as all the survival elements like hunger, stamina, etc etc

I think it's good. Remember you're sacrificing a valuable rune slot for mending, unlike MC where you just need more xp
But I'm not really a fan of having them last forever. I think it should have a very high essence cost, like 2(rarity) essence per 2 durability points. (Two multiplied by the tool's rarity.(Common = 1))
And it should cost even more if the tool has other runes.
So a legendary sword would need 5 essence for one point (use)
Sounds like a lot, but remember that higher rarity enemies yield more essence.

I honestly can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic, if serious then it disables pretty much all of the survival elements like death, hunger, stamina, temperature, etc, just wish tools lasted longer online this idea, had a regen

Alright. Its also makes no sense to have tools in Sandbox mode to harvest materials when you can build anything without materials
we should have an instant mine tool on sandbox at least
