They bring in too many resources. This is very unbalanced.

  1. Make an option in the settings or a rule for expert mods so that jewelers, metalworkers keep significantly less resources, so that the maximum items they can give the player per interaction would be 10 times less for gems and 6 times less for metals.

Thus, players who are interested in the survival and cave exploration aspect will always need to earn all these resources on their own.

  1. Also, villagers who use ovens bring a lot of high-level products like fruit pie. I suggest making it an option and rule for expert mods so that villagers cannot cook pies.

This way, players will have to go to their farms from time to time, where they can safely collect ingredients for their own pies.

This will be a relaxing change for players who have just come from the caves, where they have been stressed out fighting skeletons, extreme temperatures, and trying not to fall into lava.

They don't bring enough resources relevant to your biome tbh I don't agree with OP they need to bring more relevant resources to your current level of progression

Also @wise valve you can just have them not resource nearby resources as a job it's as simple as that then they won't get resources for you

it involves bringing back crafting table upgrading in a different, more permanent way, so its more like a permanent upgrade that lets you craft more items.

It also brings a much clearer sense of progression - the higher your level is, stronger enemies show up and rarer treasure can be found.

Anyway, do you agree that villagers are currently bringing in too much metal and gems? These are the resources you need to upgrade to the latest level, and they can now be obtained for free and fairly quickly. For players trying to play this game as a survival game, it will be a plus that they will almost always have to explore caves, which is a fairly large part of the gameplay that no one does now.

But yes, i agree that they should be nerfed. With the durability of my tools (including rifted tools and Durability III) and the amount of gems they give me, i almost never have to go out for gems

They can have a maximum of 30 gems in their inventory, which is a huge amount of gems in itself, for which you can make a lot of weapons, and considering that they continue to extract gems while the player travels and breaks his current equipment - we have constant gems. If you have several villages, and this is what will happen sooner or later - the villagers bring mountains of gems. There is no need to go to the caves anymore.

Cave exploration is a very interesting experience, where players will have to constantly fight against various enemies and carefully explore each room of the cave. Caves, unlike the dungeons of the Storm King, have constantly different environments and a lot of resources hidden. Currently, players only do this at the beginning of the game, when they do not yet have a single village of level 10, after which the player is almost a god.

They should decrease the amount too obviously, i only rely on one gem cutter and have too many gems. Even though i only have like one (plank) chestful, it's still too much (they're supposed to be rare!)

gems can be used for chests and weapons so I'd only nerf it a little. Too much and then the issue of caves not resetting comes back into play

Me personally I just find the gameplay loop of Lego to be not as engaging so I don’t feel encouraged too go into dungeons that why I feel like in order for this to be implemented we have to rework the caves first like how Silly described
