The storm in the game is not a serious obstacle - you can easily pass it without special totems thanks to the storm fruits that grow everywhere. There is an idea to make the storm also in the dungeons, so that this mechanic is more involved in the game. Among the pluses, I can cite the fact that storm totems, charms that restore the timer will become really useful. For balance, you can change the minimum time of being in the storm, or something like that

Ever played Metroid Prime Echoes?
There is this alter world called the Dark Aether which you have to go investigate and has a toxic atmosphere that inflicts damage over time when you're there.
To protect yourself, there are some sections in the map that you can shoot and these will create a light barrier that can help you heal and avoid the damage.
Something similar would be great and might make the dungeons more challenging.

Agreed because the storm charms feel useless with how the game is currently, but I’d also suggest they add an extra charm slot because between needing a revive charm and storm charms on an expert world, it becomes sort of brutal
