#Charm Glitch Still Ruining Expert Worlds

That’s gut wrenching..
Happened to me too, but I did not get that screen when I died.
They don’t even have a way to fix this. Lego didn’t implement one of the most simple things to revive people in expert worlds due to this bug. Its way too major and it really needs to be fixed ASAP
Could this issue be the same as the one as their Trello?
If so, I think for the people that still have their Expert worlds should avoid drinking Slurp Juice.
They do have a way to fix it. Epic has access to join any of our worlds via the World ID.
They also use the World ID to revert the game to the time before you died to the bug.
No, this is a different glitch.
I asked that for mine. They said it isn’t possible. If that’s the case then they’re definitely lying to people because I asked multiple times during my big report and the people it was escalated too was higher in authority than the main QA team and they all said they can’t do that
I'm not sure who told you that wasn't possible because it most certainly is. Unfortunate that there is so many different people spreading different information.
I believe Rollbacks were used for when people lost their worlds due to another glitch previous to this one on Expert Worlds.
They absolutely have the ability.
I also know Dev's have a feature to access any of our worlds via the World ID. They can do pretty much anything.
Yea it’s extremely disheartening because I was trying to get my expert world back for awhile and it took for me to finally threaten to escalate it to a higher query due to the lack of communication for them to finally respond to me, which I was appreciative of an actual response but they told me it wasn’t possible but to hear that it is or at least should be from players and others is what’s confusing me because then why didn’t they just fix my world even when I told them I didn’t delete it to preserve it so I could get returned!
I mean the glitch has been known for awhile now. I don't get why people keep taking the chance with worlds they spent so much time on.
That doesn’t change the fact that Lego isn’t fixing the issue with people losing their worlds though. People still want expert for the challenge. And the glitch is known for those on social media there’s still players that aren’t in these threads or don’t know about it
I know it doesn't fix the issue but seeing how many people on this server are still surprised that it can happen is wild. I do wish they would fix the bug so no one else has to lose their world. Maybe now that the update is out they can focus on this bug issue, may not get the world back but hopefully can stop if from happening
The world doesn't "delete" (you have to explicitly delete it yourself even after lockout) so that is a total lie
Another man down, and this is just what I see, this doesn't include the dozens of others losing their world to these glitches.
How is it possible that we're patching Duplication Glitches before we're fixing an issue that ruins peoples expert mode worlds?
You don't get why people want to get online and play the game they enjoy?
@rocky otter I completely understand that because I love playing Lego. What I don't get is people risking all their hard work and builds with the bug going on. I hate seeing people lose their worlds because I imagine they put alot into it.
It is crazy that Epic has not even put a message up in the lobby saying something like, “Please be aware of a bug that is currently making players get permanently eliminated from their Expert worlds even if they have a Totem of Return equipped.”
I mean, Epic largely ignores STW but I have even seen them put messages in the STW lobby about bugs before. Crazy that they haven’t done something similar for Lego Fortnite
So what should players do? Epic told us over a week ago that they're working on a fix and we haven't heard anything since.
But they get word of a duplication glitch and it's patched within 24 hours.
The vast vast majority of the people who play Lego Fortnite do not browse the Lego discord or subreddit and so are completely unaware of the bug. They only seek out such forums after they lose their worlds due to the bug.
I mean, I’m sure there are people who know about the bug and take the chance, lose their world, and then post about it, but I’m sure most people are just oblivious about the bug’s existence.
See thats so sad to me, all that work just gone. Lego needs to fix this or they are going to lose players

Absolutely this. They really can’t just communicate gamebreaking stuff on reddit and Twitter. They need in-game notifications

Absolutely no. Its like when you have been told that a manhole is opened on the road and you still want to walk on it
But it’s fine. They adjusted the bottom snap point of thrusters to make building on walls ever so slightly more inconvenient. Definitely a priority
Except the signage was actually a mile away and there was nothing right next to the manhole

Yea at this point I’ve never deleted my old expert world I’m waiting for someone to say epic is letting people return back to their worlds from the bugged deaths cause ima be first to try to get my world back lmfao
I dont got any charm bug in survival world. They all work as expected
I lost my world over this today!!! 😡😡😡😡 had 50 grand chest full of every material in the game besides lost isles material. Was working on it when I lost my world!!! Plz epic fix my world!!!
An the worst part about all this. Is for most ppl. This is our escape, we work 40+ hours a week. Come home to relax an play an play on weekend with our family, our kids, an our friends to calm an have some enjoyment outside of real life!!! Then stuff like this happens an it makes us never wanna turn another game on bc we build something we liked an enjoyed an it's took away bc a team of smart computer engineers can't fix a simple bug???? But can patch a glitch within 6 hrs??? Come on.
Yea it sucks, that's why alot of people aren't even going in their expert worlds right now, well i know i haven't since the bug was 1st reported. I guess it's good to have the update done so hopefully Epic can focus on fixing this bug.
I feel bad for people that didn't check the report a bug chat before they lost their worlds.
I never had discord till just a month or so ago. An I'm still learning about it. An I didn't know about any bugs till I lost my world an started looking for ways to contact epic to get it back!

Stop trying to blame people for playing the game with the bug existing.
This is not a single players fault.
Even if they know about the news, it's not your fault to keep playing despite there being a bug in the game.
Epic just needs to fix it. But constantly blaming the players is beyond corny.
I have been playing anyway and formed that habit of unbinding/rebinding all charms at join just to make sure even if it doesn't look like they aren't working. this however will not save me from network connection permadeath like happened to some people, so I don't play during IRL thunderstorms or if my Internet is being flaky/laggy (and would never play on wifi whatsoever)
I just lost my world due to this, I'm not playing this game again if they don't give me my world back
I literally just joined the discord asking for help, I didn't know that it was happening to everybody

Sign into that world and look at the very bottom, it will be a long string of numbers

In my opinion it’s best for everyone to not play Expert mode or play with caution if you really do not want to lose your progress, until they somehow fix it
For real, to say oh well that’s your fault for playing a game mode we put in isn’t logical… okay if it’s some third party plug-in on Minecraft then yeah Mojang isn’t responsible for any bugs or viruses caused by that… but this isn’t third party, it’s made by epic
I'm still so gutted to lose my expert world I've played lego fortnite since day one of its release, i had a really good survival world built but got bored of how easy the mode became it never felt like survival any longer so I was so excited when expert mode update come out,
I quickly got used to it and decided to make it my main world, and have played hours daily up till losing my world the other day😞
my game was frozen it had fully crashed, so I had no option but to restart my console, I dint think to much of it tbh. I just thought it's a normal bug games just crashed so al just load fortnite back up
but after getting back on the lego fortnite lobby and seeing my world have eliminated under it I couldn't believe it how was I eliminated my game was frozen. I had a totem of return equipped and 2 extra on my inventory what I always carry with me. to give me complete safety while playing.
Well that's what i thought anyways as never thought a permo death survival world game would have bugs that can eliminate are modes I've contacted fortnite on every support platform I could find but as of now not had a reply regarding the issue
@rocky otter I've heard you talk about ppl giving epic there information about the expert worlds we've lost due to totem bug. How do I contact epic? Bc there help me an support page does not give a direct link to epic!??? That I can find!
I would go to the report bug tab here make sure to read how to report but 1st so epic has all your info
@crude mason I reported my bug in game 3 days ago on the official discord section & on twitter/X so many times over the last 3 days but unfortunately not had a single reply from support
I messaged epic on all channels and jumped through all of the hoops, but when I explained to them how to fix my world, they threatened me with terms of services

I logged on today and my island said I was eliminated when I wasn't playing!!! I'm soooooo mad about it!!! Sooo much time I've put into that!! Expert mode!! And even if I somehow died while I wasn't playing.. I had a revive charm equipped! So. Just letting you know as well. If you stop playing for a couple hours and go back to it. You may not be able to access your world that u spent a ridiculous amount of hours on!!
@warm creek this is getting crazy!!! An we all know that there are content creators that can reach epic. So if 3 or 4 of the big ones would start posting videos on their YouTube channels about ppl loosing thier expert worlds. An have screen shots of ppls comments, discord post, or any other post about what happen. You know epic would do something then!!! Bc they don't want negative things posted.
I have a youtube channel but I'm a no body! So I could post for days or weeks an no one would ever see it. But if 1 or 2 big name creators did it. I'd bet anything epic would fix it fast!!!
I agree this definitely needs fixing for all us effected by the glitch, we all need to have are expert worlds rolled back, even if its to the start of the lost Isles update. even though I did so much cos I grinding like 2 days straight putting silly hours into my would, as was enjoying the update so much, i completely uncovered the full lost Isles islands and built a level 10 village with lots materials stored up and a level 5 peely village, but I would still be happier to get rolled back to the start of the lost Isles update if possible better then losing 4 months worth of gameplay and my day one expert mode I managed to keep alive and really wanted to continue playing on that world for as long as possible, but now I'm not going to bother with expert mode if we are not able to get are original ones back its so disappointing

I'm soo mad with lego releasing that new short today, about losing are worlds, it feels like a take the mick! and with them not even bothering to answer any of are questions from support on any platform its just crazy how they could not bother to even communicate with us
Sorry to hear. This happened to me almost two months ago. I got eliminated from my Expert world without even being in it (I got kicked back from the loading screen to the lobby and somehow that eliminated me from my world 🤷♂️). Epic support was useless (unsurprisingly). And their communication (or complete lack thereof) about this issue is atrocious.
After it happened I told myself I would never play Expert mode again. Because while it is the most enjoyable mode (imo), it is just not worth it to sink countless hours into a world only to permanently lose it to a bug.
is this actually the lego discord official group? because it seems not one of us as got a reply, from them. We are told to report bugs on this group they could at least have the decency to get in touch with us
Dev of big game almost never respond to official discord or other public discussion. The flux of player are too high and when they respond a lot of player come to had their own answer. Sadly unmanageable.
Devs do not respond but community managers do. And there has been at least one Epic community manager who has responded to a lot of bug threads on this discord server in the past (her name escapes me right now). But I haven’t seen her responding to threads about this bug.
My hunch is that they know people who lost their worlds to this bug will not be able to get them back and so they are going radio silent on it (I guess it is better to be silent than to tell people, “sorry but your world is permanently gone now and there is nothing we can do to restore it.”)
Hopefully I am wrong and people who lost their worlds to this bug will eventually get them restored, but I wouldn’t be too hopeful lol
yeah I agree mate, if there was anything they could do to help us I'm sure they would of been in contact with us before now. I'm starting to lose hope of getting my expert world back. I'm slowly building my old survival world up but it's just not the same as playing expert mode it's just far to easy for a survival mode game, but I don't feel confident in making a new expert mode yet carnt put that sort of time and effort in like last time incase I lose it all again to a glitch in the game
Hello mate, just so you know they can fix everyone’s world but they won’t because it’s too much effort for them.
When you load into your world, the game will check a file on the server to determine whether you have been eliminated or not, if you haven’t been eliminated it will allow you into the world and if you have been eliminated you will get the eliminated screen
So they would need to go into every affected user’s account, locate the world that is affected with the world ID, then locate the file that tells the game if you’re alive or not and then fix it there, but it’s too much effort for them to do this for individual accounts
Do better Epic/Lego Fortnite as the players pay your bills
that actually makes sense mate, as I can still join my world and it loads up to the connecting to world server screen still, but then go's no further just keeps loading up, so it's as you say just like a block as been put on that world and would be easy enough to remove it and fix are worlds for the game development team, or who ever would deal with the issues in game lol i never actually got a eliminated screen dint get to see how many days I had survived or anything, was just basically on my world selection screen under my expert world it says eliminated

my friend died a long time ago due to this bug and he also died by spawning under the lost isles in my expert

Sorry to hear the trouble you and your friend had gone through due to a bug in Fortnite Lego. Upon checking here, your friend can only be revived if they got eliminated in an expert mode if they have a Totem of Return equipped when you lose all your hearts.
I'll make sure to take note of this for you as its the least thing I do. But, I would strongly recommend for you and if you have other friends who are also experiencing the same issue to submit a bug report about this by following the steps here.

WOW I am shocked they even got back to you The only thing I have noticed from epic when it comes to Lego is a complete disregard for their players
They threatened me with terms of services when I explained to them that I got eliminated because of the bug and how to fix it. I even told him how to check the logs to find out what the problem was and they did nothing

I explained to them that they never told me it was a game still in development and I wanted my money back and they just ignored me
