Is your laptop plugged in? If not, it might be switching to the integrated intel gpu instead of the discrete Nvidia gpu. The game will be very, very laggy and hang or crash if the gpu switches or you try to run it on the intel gpu

You need max performance mode in power settings and connect charging adapter
And change selected GPU for game in NVIDIA control panel
Check RAM. Mb problem here.
Try run benchmark on your device before and after settings changes

Nvidia control panel, manage 3d settings, preferred graphics processor setting or you can pick the per app tab and select the game and choose high performance gpu instead of auto or integrated

Right click CCS in steam, select properties, Installed files and verify files.
Check in the nvidia app for updated drivers.
If that doesn't fix it, click the start button and type cmd select run as administrator and then:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
after that completes
sfc /SCANNOW
If any errors or issues were corrected, reboot and try the game again.
Also, if you have any overclocking for your CPU or GPU enabled, disable it
